Some of the best chorus riffs of all time are on this album, and you dont even realise cause the vocals are so fuckin strong and the riff just sits back and kills it, phenomenal composing!

I'm working on a GP6 tab for this song. I only have the intro/groove riff down so far, but I'm 100% certain that it's at least about 97% correct (I think) lol. I plan on submitted it to UG, but not 'til it's finished. If you want what I got down so far, just let me know. I'll try to have the whole thing finished sometime next week. Maybe even by tomorrow if I have time. I suck at tabbing drums and what not in GP6, so I'll only be doing it for what we see Browne play in this video.
Update: I've got every riff down up until that last one around 4:30. Should have the whole thing finished by Thanksgiving. The displacement is real.

***** The tab is done, just haven't gotten around to uploading it to UG. I think I know what tab you're talking about. It sounds pretty solid at first, but a lot of the notes are actually pretty off, especially in the chorus. I think the guy did it all by ear though, and I wouldn't've been able to do the drums and other shit, so props to him. The funky open tuning is actually the original tuning. It's Ab Eb Ab Db Eb Ab Db (low to high). Monuments doesn't have any songs in regular drop tuning.
***** Yeah, outro riff and the one at 2:51 are real pains to play with all the downpicking. Do you know if there's a way to export in a GP5 compatible format? There may some converters out on the interwebz if you just wanted the .gpx file.
***** I could try exporting it as a midi file, but be warned.. it may rearrange some of the fretting, and leave out some notes. I forgot that I used to send files to my friend who drums that way, and it'd always screw something up.

I love their guitars, but GOD I can't stand that "M" inlay AT ALL.
'M' is for Monuments, not Mayones, but yeah, it's not great.
I know a friend of mine has a Regius 6MM and it doesn't have that weird M.
'MM' stands for Misha Mansoor, who isn't in Monuments xDDD
And who says I was talking about Monuments? I am talking about the horrid M this model has, while the other models have much better inlays (like Sithy Aye's custom), or just don't have any.
That's because John wanted that inlay as a custom option.

you cant even hear the pod hd,only the low mud and hiss,listen to it with good headphones and you can tell that all the guitars you hear are the original tracks from the record,this is why I gave up on the pod hd

John sells his tone packs on Flux Conduct website (fluxconduct (dot) bigcartel (dot) com), search it in his products.
If you want POD HD tone, be aware that there are two packs - one for add-on HD and one for the basic one

I wish the guitar was at the front of the mix for this video, kinda hard to really hear without headphones
its like it was double tracked on top of the original guitars,but the pod sounds thin and it gets lost under the original guitar tracks
what tune monuments use for their 7 string guitars, i'm new at the 7 string thingy and don't know the most common 7 string/8 string tuning an explination would help alot thanks.
They're tuning is really uncommon. I'll list the tunings low to high. Standard 7 is BEADGBe. Drop A on a 7 is AEADGBe they're the most common then there is those down tuned so stuff like Drop G and A standard. Monuments and Tesseract for they're first album as well play in a weird Open tuning of A#FA#D#FA#D# or they drop the lowest to a G#. Hope that helps.

Ahmed Sairat They actually don't use straight aeadead. A lot of the songs are that tuning, half a step up. the songs like I, the destroyer he tunes the low A down another step. This song is straight G or G# (whatever one) open. They have a handful of tunings between the 7 and 8 strings. but they're all "open". Tesseract plays in Aeadead, though!
