I've gone 92 days without sleep. I wake my alarm clock up in the morning. I have to buy a new toothbrush every day because my toothbrush kills itself after I use it. When I want food, cows cut themselves into pieces and die in my backyard.
It’s a common misconception that “SEALs CAN’T reveal that they’re SEALs.” There’s no Non-disclosure agreements in place keeping a rated special warfare operator from disclosing his job (if he wants to). Also, you can inquire with BUD/S to verify if the person has graduated/dropped/never even attempted seal training. Although certain things about their career can be classified (locations, operation details, certain commands they’re attached too), their job won’t be.
I was in a relationship living for several years with a man who was a former Navy SEAL. He couldn’t tell me 99% of what his missions entailed, or even most of what training consisted of, but I can say that he taught me some things that I didn’t even know were possible. Ways you can “neutralize” an individual in the most bizarre yet efficient, effective ways imaginable. I remember several times watching him take something obvious right off of a person (a watch or phone, even opening packages in stores directly under security cameras and putting them in his pocket... he never kept them!) & nobody noticed what he had taken or that anything was taken at all. I wouldn’t even have noticed if he hadn’t said “hey Jen, watch this”... and I still missed most of what he did. He told me training was fun! He’s a legitimate sociopath, but I think you have to be somewhat mentally off (lack of empathy or conscience) to make it all the way through training and then serve for several years doing black bag missions. I remember him telling me that one part of early training was in a swimming pool. A very deep one. They were chained with their hands behind their backs a fifty to 100 pound weight was put on them, depending on how much they weighed, and they were thrown into 20ish feet of water where they sunk to the bottom. With no air supply, they had to get out of the chains, remove the weights and return to the surface before they ran out of air. During that portion of training, almost everyone at some point drowned and had to be resuscitated. That’s when most of the guys rang the bell. The two main things about SEAL training and duty that I came to understand from him was that 1)No SEAL will ever panic under any circumstances or give up any information if captured, which ties in with 2) every trainee learns quickly that they will most likely die and have to be brought back during training. And they witness their buddies die and sometimes not come back. If you fear death, torture, or scary situations, you will never become a SEAL. There has to be a mis-wired part of your brain that likes walking the razor’s edge between life and death , while being lost, freezing, or overheated, dehydrated, starving, severely sleep deprived, AND have specific, very detailed orders that you cannot, for national security reasons, write down... which if you mess up even a tiny part, you’re either captured or dead, so remember every detail in the middle of the enemy’s territory, or sometimes posing as a civilian out in the open, and complete the mission with exacting precision, with little to zero available support, all odds against you... do the job and get back “home”. And that’s basically every SEAL mission: “Here’s your mission. Complete it. We hope you make it back. I ended up having to leave the relationship because he was literally insane; NOT abusive at all, but just way too crazy to deal with all the time. He didn’t think about even the smallest thing like the average person does! And I know that only someone like him... extraordinarily physically fit, highly intelligent, very charming, a personality chameleon, with a photographic memory & superhuman hearing memorization skills, and, well... crazy... can make it as a SEAL. I would never, ever want a SEAL as an enemy!
I knew a guy who was ex SAS, during his time even his wife didn't know his job. He certainty didn't tell her he was special ops, big no no. He had a total cover story, a fake job, everything. The thing about special ops is they look normal, they don't stand out.
Almost guaranteed he wasn't a SEAL. The chances of meeting a live SEAL are lower than being struck by a meteor; theres just not many of them around. About 20K imposters for every real SEAL.
@@Nikolai18A that's not true I have a buddy I served with who was a SEAL. He got his legs blown off below the knees and is a HA now but he was still a SEAL. My other SEAL buddy was KIA though. Go to San Diego and you can meet several SEALs.
Yeah, when I was in the army I could do all those qualifying exercises, but I wouldn’t have made it 3 days there. That might get you in, but it won’t get you through.
NO! The main purpose of the Army Rangers is for capturing airfields, yes they do other stuff too but the guys who jump behind enemie lines and "recruit" partisans were formally known as the Green Berets noe known just as Special Forces.
Yes Rangers do Airfield Siezures but no that is not their main purpose at all. The 173rd Airborne Brigade and 82nd Airborne Division also do Airfield Siezures. So they have an entire division size unit that can deploy within 24hrs as our nations 911 force to do among other things Airfield siezures. The Rangers are however part of USSOCOM and they dont need to create or have a Regiment size unit in USSOCOM just to do Airfield Siezures when the 82nd and 173rd are more than capeable of that job. Last mass tactical Airfield Siezure in a war was Operation Northern Delay in Northern Iraq during the 2003 Invasion. It was originally supposed to be the 82nd but this was a last min jump due to Turkey not wanting to be cooperative and the 173rd owing to bieng only a Brigade and the fact they were far closer bieng stationed in Italy was ready sooner. This mission was both an Airfield Siezure and a tactical link up with Special Forces allready on the ground and Kurdish Peshmerga allies. 3rd Ranger Battallion jumped into and siezed an area known as Objective Rhino just north of Kandahar Airfield this was NOT an Airfield Siezure. It was a tactical link up with The 101st to take Kandahar. Ranger Regiment gives USSOCOM an Elite Airborne Infantry Regiment at their disposal. SEALs while a bad ass direct action unit are not Infantry and they lack some Capeabilities that Infantry possess. Army Special Forces though many have been Infantry and certainly know how to do Infantry stuff have a totally different mission. Rangers do Airfield Siezures, Hunt and capture high value targets do Raids Ambushes and Assaults much like the SEALs do just usually on a much larger scale and though they have the ability to come from the water they generally are attacking land based targets. Comparing SEALs and Rangers is like comparing a Sledge hammer to a scalpel. SEALs are usually performing more delicate missions requiring a higher level of skill but Rangers can hit more hardened targets as they bring more numbers and more fire power to the game. In addition Ranger Regiment is often tasked to act as a security element for DELTA as they did in Somolia. Some of the Regiments formations such as Ranger Reconnaissance Company spend most of their time assigned to JSOC in the Special Reconnaissance role.
@@Las3r_Cat There may have been a time when that was true though it was never supposed to be. Its definately not true anymore. There was a time when Navy Special Boat units were nothing more than a water taxi service for SEALs. Now they are are properly a Special Operations unit in there own right. Much like Airforce Special Operations Navy SWCC has both a Combat Support role and it's own Combat Operational Role, they have their own missions independant of SEAL Teams. Rangers also have multiple missions, Airfield Siezures are but one. The Rangers were never intended to be just another Infantry Unit. They are USASOCs Premier Direct Action Unit. Special Forces ODAs are capeable of performing direct action missions but that is not their purpose. SFs purpose is to Conduct UW/FID as they did throughout the history of the Vietnam Conflict and in the beginnings of the war in Afghanistan. SF has been used for DA stuff throughout the current conflict this has led to even newly minted Green Berets thinking that is their job it's not. Robyn's Sage the exercise/Test before graduating the SF QCourse is not anything to do with kicking doors down and doing CQB it's a UW Exercise.

If your refering to the Crack Epidemic of the 80s and 90s that the CIA not FBI, big difference like for one CIA is not a law enforcement agency. They are spys so they do tend to color outside the lines. The CIA however did not personally run or sell drugs either. They had people working for them what is usually called a cut out someone who is not an agency or government employee who were running money and guns to the Contra Rebels. Most of those cut outside smuggled dope on their return trip North both because they got payed well to do it and because the Cartel didnt give them allot of choice. It's probably a good bet the Agency knew but looked the other way and decided it was the cost of doing business. Even the reporter who broke this story was crystal clear that the resulting Crack epidemic was never the Agencies intention and they themselves were not out there dealing drugs.
"Selling drugs" is a bit hyperbolic when in reality it was, "They used known unsavory assets to run secret missions in exchange for money and protecting them from law enforcement."

When it comes to going without sleep, after a major motorcycle accident my right leg was (medical repot wording) "Self-amputated" the Orthopedic Dr. working that night wanted to amputate it my parents knew I wouldn't want that so he put it back on, wrong, as in twisted to the right about 90 degrees so my knee wouldn't bend. I did get that "fixed" but my nerves weren't connected below my knee to I had no feeling below the knee. Eventually my leg got to a point where it was only going to get worse so I decided to have it amputated. I suffered from nerve pain/phantom limb pain, for me the lightest pain I had all day everyday was pins and needles, that is pain levels 1-3 next is knives and daggers 4-6 levels, swords and spears is 7-9. Level 10 is something I have only experienced in the week before the amputation felt like someone used a sledgehammer to smash my heel. Because of all that pain, mostly in the 7-9 range with bursts on 10, I estimate I got about 8 hours of sleep total for the whole week... I was beginning to see flashes of light race across the ceiling and hearing noises around me. Only reason that didn't drive me nuts is I knew about sleep depravation so I stayed sane (relatively speaking) but no sleep does some crazy sh*t to your mind

Yes but that was recently not back in the 1980s the 911 highjackers were not agency assets nor was Bin Laden that's a bunch of tin foil hat shit. Congress gave Obama permission to train and equip the Free Syrian Army to fight ISIS. He trained and equipt these FSA fighters at a base in Jordan and likely gave them untraceable weapons from Lybian Stockpiles.FSA however that was formed to fight Assad in late 2010 was compromised and was at that time full of Jihadis from Al Nusra and Ansar Al Sharia( Al Queda affiliates) they were not actually prowestern moderates. This was because Assad emptied his prisons of Jihadis when the war started with the hope they would compromise these organizations and therefore the US would not give them aid and we aided them reguardless the only question was did Obama know and if so when did he know. We might never have known except for the Special Forces guys training these FSA guys figured it out pretty quick and were trying to figure out how to stop it when a Jordanian Soldier assassinated three of them when they were returning to the base and it was all video taped. All concearned parties attempted to cover it up as an accident but when the video hit youtube it was pretty clear what happened.

Love the videos, Arthur! You definitely gained a subscriber! Also, those “qualifications” they listed are the qualifications to ENTER training for the SEALs. Incredibly rigorous stuff!
The sleep deprivation part is just insane. They’re only allowed like 4 hours a week. I’ve started seeing and hearing things after being up for 2 days, can’t even imagine how horrible that would be.
I have a good friend who is a career SEAL - pinned in 1993. According to him, EVERYONE who qualifies for BUD/S is physically capable of doing the pushups, pull-ups, running, swimming, etc. In fact, the most physically gifted are (again, according to my friend) are the most likely to quit. The reason most give for quitting is the cold. Exposure 18°C water for hours at a time takes an enormous psychological toll, as well as physical. My friend is now a Navy captain, Rear Admiral selectee. His days of playing commando in the tall grass are over, fortunately. I can't imagine the stories he could tell.
'I graduated top of my class in the navy sea-!' Yeah, cool. We had a farmer on skis who was able to get 700 kills in a few months with a rifle, a submachinegun, and maybe a pistol.
Surviving the Cut is a good program. But I am disappointed with "Surviving the Cut: Navy EOD;" it has nothing to do with Navy EOD Pipeline at all. It only shows the Pre-deployment Training that, pretty much, everyone passes.
I guess it has to do with the rise in dietary supplements that many people have been using in the last couple of decades. When I went to boot camp back in 1999, every NSW/NSO Recruit (SEAL, Swicks, EOD, Diver, & AIRR) was fit, but not "absurdly ripped." There was no 800 Division back then, we were all in different divisions. We had to get up an hour earlier than other recruits, met up at the designated area, then walked to the pool for an extra workout early in the morning.
When I was in boot camp in 1990, one of the work details I was put on while on light duty was a road guide for the MCRD San Diego triathlon. (Stand at an intersection & point which way to go) Competitors included Marine Drill Instructors and fitness experts and the like, and a bunch of SEALs that came over from Coronado. The slowest SEAL finished ten minutes before the fastest Marine.
11:18 The reason the numbers are so low is because that's the minimum. There's a competitive tab that basically double everything, except the times events are cut in half, obviously. Since you can be forced out if you don't qualify against others, there's a competitive tab that shows, if you want to be better than your unit, this is your true goal, but to continue the exam, you must meet this, which is what is mentioned in the video.
Watch BUD/s class 234. It’s about a 4 hour documentary. For what the NSWF officers and chiefs let get filmed, it shows quite a bit. And that infographics video was off on a lot of stuff
There is a whole dvd following a seal class from start to finish. It goes through their final crucible but does not show the secret part of the training that follows the main basic seal training. Its exactly what you are looking for. Ill try to find it
The screening physical exam is just a screen. It's the minimum needed to be allowed to go to the training center and begin Day 0. Everyone who actually goes to special warfare schools usually are capable of maxing their physical fitness scores at least twice back to back. For example, Day 0 for a US Marine Sniper/Target Acquisition platoon (which isn't even considered part of the Joint Special Operations community) the initial physical screen consisted of a two PFTs conducted back to back followed by a 10 mile pack run (85lbs pack). That's 20 pullups, 200 crunches, and 3 miles in about 18 minutes, and people that finished first were expected to run back and verbally and physically encourage those trailing behind to go faster. On that initial PFT, you were instantly dropped if you did not score 20 pullups, 200 crunches, and finish the run before the 20 minute mark. As soon as the last person crossed the finished line, we started the second pft. Another 20 pullups, 200 crunches, and I think they kept a guy up to 21 minutes, but I might be mis-remembering the time cut. Then you went and grabbed your pack to run for 10 miles in the desert sun. Fall behind and safety Humvee catches you, you get thrown in the back and off you go back to your unit. EDIT: Hellweek for SEALs is 4 hours of sleep for the ENTIRE 5 day evolution, not 4 hours per day. That's some pansey Ranger bullshit.
The physical requirements that they showed, the pushups, swim, pull ups and running, Thats just the absolute bare minimum, you are expected to do a whole lot more during that PT test or you wont get in.
Yes, bare minimum to be able to try. If any of those task are in your Range than you will not be there long if even in.

It’s not a rule… u do not brandish ur weapon or ur station
What are u…a fucking lawyer?
There is a 4 hour documentary on TH-cam about navy seal training if you’re really curious about what it takes.
Buds class 234 hooyah
What is it’s name?
The pastor of my former church was an ex-Navy SEAL. Very nice guy.
Almost guaranteed he wasn't a SEAL. The chances of meeting a live SEAL are lower than being struck by a meteor; theres just not many of them around. About 20K imposters for every real SEAL.
NikolaiVolkov you can meet them in San Diego, where a lot of Seals are stationed.
"If you make it past the Navy doing everything they can to drown you.... THEN you get to go to Hell week!"
If you dumb it down enough, the Rangers are just a light infantry unit with a lot of funding and training that are a part of SOCOM.
@@Las3r_Cat There may have been a time when that was true though it was never supposed to be. Its definately not true anymore. There was a time when Navy Special Boat units were nothing more than a water taxi service for SEALs. Now they are are properly a Special
Operations unit in there own right.
You realize green berets and special forces are separate, special forces wear tan berets
@@benadams5557 The Ranger regiment wears tan berets, my guy. They're Special Operations, but not Special Forces.
My friends dad was a seal he's a really chill guy. I don't know too much of what he did, but he was a medic and he told us some cool stories and taught us some cqc hand to hand stuff. Also have a bestfriend whose dad was a green beret. Overall i get to meet some bad ass people.
Check out a show called “Surviving the cut” it depicts the training that certain military regiments of the US have to go through
Great call! It's on Amazon video and also has an episode on the notorious "hell week" from BUDS.
Yeah but that’s not the full training, buds 234 would be a lot better
Regarding lack of sleep, actually tried that shortly after I graduated highschool. I made it 6 days. Bear in mind I was in the best shape of my life at the time. It was terrible. Day one and two were relatively easy, but I wasn’t doing anything super physically exhausting. The first few days are just mental, the following days are mental and physical. The remaining four days after that were terrible.
By day 6 I had to quit. I got up to do something and my legs gave out on me. Not like in a “tired” way, but like a just wouldn’t work way and dumped me to ground.
Definitely couldn’t do it while training for an elite military unit.

Seals loose a lot of people in training from a test where you get tied to the bottom of a murky pool for longer than most people can hold they’re breath, then they have to untie themselves and swim to the surface
15:45 the goal wasn't to show a stereotype. It was simply a lack of knowledge on the subject by the animator. Our bad.

My stepdad was a Ranger, and my uncle is a SEAL (or was, havent talked to him in a few years, but he was and maybe still is.)
I can assure you that he is still a seal and your stepdad is still a ranger. Once you earn that title it is there for good. Now, whether they are active duty, that is another story. But they are forever a Ranger or a Seal.

men you made me laugh so much... I'm a firefighter as well as an architect master's degree student from Portugal, and this is my third day not sleeping... Don't get me wrong, I'm exausted, but not even close to dying like you suggested man... pretty god damn funny... xDDD
"survive the cut" should have something on the navy seals. Its a 40 or 50 min video but its still a great to look into on personal time even if it all show up on a limited youtube vid.
@7:45 there is a video from Larry Vickers (Retired Delta Force) with Russian FSB operators doing shooting drills with live 9mm makarov. They do explain that they are using "soft ammo", Larry was blown away to find out that merely means non-armor piercing. Lol
Seals in Buds only sleep about 4 hours total for the entire week known as hell week. If u need your beauty sleep don't try out
Yeah I bitched about 12 hours for 3 days during the crucible, I cant imagine hell week for seals
11:10 those are NOT the requirements. I forgot the exact numbers but I’m pretty sure it’s:
-500 yard combat side stroke in 12:30 mins or less
(10 min break)
-50+ pushups in 2 mins
(2 min break)
-50+ sit-ups in 2 mins
(2 min break)
- 10 pull ups with no time limit
(2 min break)
-1.5 mile run in 10:30 mins or less
Note that all of these are MINIMUM and you likely won’t get accepted unless you are well above these
-
11:19 That's the minimum to qualify for training. If that's all you can do, you won't make it past the first week.
Love the videos just found your channel recently keep it up
5:07 there’s a lot of strategic things done to benefit the United States like the C.I.A. Sold drugs to people
A lot of people use that Terminator picture
Joshua Little I’ll fix comment
"Selling drugs" is a bit hyperbolic when in reality it was, "They used known unsavory assets to run secret missions in exchange for money and protecting them from law enforcement."
Lol, I went to Ireland, late one night they were showing Rambo 3 on TV, the announcer introduced the program by saying "Rambo 3, the Americans fund and train the Taliban to fight the Soviets, how did that work out for you America?, ha ha ha" opened my eyes as a teenager 25 years ago about how the world views us.
11:20 thats just the initial to qualify, qualify being the main word there.
12:44 hammered is the right term, it means constantly pelted with one trial after another.
“No Ordinary Dog” is a great book about a former Navy SEAL and his dog that went on the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden. The first several chapters covers SEAL training in as much detail as possible. Anyone who likes to read and is interested in SEALs would love it.

I love how it turned into an infographic review, but it was an accurate one and I'm not mad.
That’s all fully true, Al Qaeda and isis both got most of their weapons and training from the US
Yes but that was recently not back in the 1980s the 911 highjackers were not agency assets nor was Bin Laden that's a bunch of tin foil hat shit.
Joshua Little bro wtf are you talking about the equipping and backing of terrorists groups goes all the way back to when the soviets were purging the Middle East 😂 place been proxy war central how you manage to blame this on the Obama administration it’s fucking laughable😂😭 the Middle East is a place where the us pays for rebel forces aka terror Groups later on to create Chaos in the current regime so they can push in a puppet for better oil prices simple as that the soviets did and now we are.

Surviving the Cut is a good program. But I am disappointed with "Surviving the Cut: Navy EOD;" it has nothing to do with Navy EOD Pipeline at all. It only shows the Pre-deployment Training that, pretty much, everyone passes.
even at navy RTC everyone in the seal divisions were absolutely JACKED, like absurdly ripped
I guess it has to do with the rise in dietary supplements that many people have been using in the last couple of decades. When I went to boot camp back in 1999, every NSW/NSO Recruit (SEAL, Swicks, EOD, Diver, & AIRR) was fit, but not "absurdly ripped."
There was no 800 Division back then, we were all in different divisions. We had to get up an hour earlier than other recruits, met up at the designated area, then walked to the pool for an extra workout early in the morning.

22 long is a dangerous round. It can “bounce” around inside a persons body. Get shot in the thigh and find it on x-ray in the pelvis or abdomen.
Had to view! Want to see your take on Our Military. Thank you for Reacting.
I trained with Estonians in Latvia 2014. Estonian scouts to be exact. Bad ass. No joke. Excellent soldiers man.
I love how he zoomed in on the kitty at the beginning
Watch BUD/s class 234. It’s about a 4 hour documentary. For what the NSWF officers and chiefs let get filmed, it shows quite a bit. And that infographics video was off on a lot of stuff
11:43 Thats the exam you have to take IN ORDER TO APPLY for the TRAINING.... so ... yeah.
