- A very enjoyable morning spent at Abbey Wood station on the North Kent Line where we see plenty of services from Southeastern, Thameslink and Elizabeth Line.
Abbey Wood station was opened by the South Eastern Railway in 1849, the station came under the control of the South Eastern and Chatham Railway in 1923. And eventually Southern in 1948 when the railways were nationalised. Then when the 1980s made an appearance the station was served by Network Southeast until the network became privatised.
Abbey Wood became one of the first stations in the UK to use an APTIS (Accountancy and Passenger Ticket Issuing System) in 1986, this system was utilised across the network by every staffed British Rail station by the end of the 1980s.
Abbey Wood is also one of the eastern terminus stations of the Elizabeth Line where trains operate regular services from Heathrow and Reading.
I don't think I'll be coming back to this station, its nice enough station but I think one visit is sufficient.
My next station is Stratford International.

Great compilation! Best greetings!
Cracking video. Great seeing the 345s in all there glory.
Thanks very much! I love this part of the network as there is a great variety in rolling stock to be seen
Love the traction motors on the 465s
They do sound good!
Fantastic. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Great video at Abbey wood
Thanks very much!
707s on Southeastern are Citymemes due to their quick acquisition from Southwestern railway and some trainspotters believing that the 707s should've stayed with Southwestern railway
Excellent video as always!
Thanks very much!
Hi Tornado922. Great film at Abbey Wood. Looking forward to the next film at Stratford International. Kind regards, Chris.
Thanks very much Chris! I had a great time at this station
One time I got the Southeastern from London Bridge to Abbey Wood and then got the Elizabeth line to Bond Street. That was on one of my day outs in London
I hope you had a great time when you did that
@@Tornado922 I certainly did. :)
Keep it up man❤❤❤❤
Thank you kindly!
A very good Sunday evening buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy
Thank you kindly
Great video
Thanks very much!
Good video
Thanks very much!
The wooden fence is there to separate the North Kent Line and the Elizabeth Line
Just seems pointless to me when no other line does that
That was short & sweet, but really enjoyable. What is the point of that fence?
Thanks very much, in regards to the fence I haven't got the faintest idea, someone somewhere thought it was a good idea at the time. But to me it seems incredibly pointless
Can you do a video of Manchester airport
That will be done later this year
I think the class 700s sound better when the pantograph is raised.
I would have to agree with you
Tornado plz can u go to Slough at some point
I will see what I can do
I thought you would do Manchester Piccadilly after this
I'm allowed to change my mind
I would you to train spot at Whittlesea railway station in Cambridgeshire
I'll bear that in mind
Southeastern could replace the Class 376 to Southern and to inherit the rest of the Class 707 from South Western Railway.
I rather like the variety that they have at the moment
345s are the fastest accelerating multiple units in the UK
Aren’t the 331s the fastest? It was a crazy number around 1.3m/s² I swear
Hello Tornado, hope your ok, when will you next film at Ely or Cambridge? I'm only asking because if it's on a day either when school is off or on a Saturday would it be ok to join you?
I'm doing very well thanks, how are you? If I do cover Ely or Cambridge it would be done on a Saturday. Once I know when I'm going there I'll then put up a community post on my channel so that you can see when I would be there
@@Tornado922 im doing well thanks, im always prepared for departure to Cambridge or ely so i will keep an eye out, its also good that its a Saturday because thats when im out trainspotting :)
The plane was
a Airbus a319
Thanks for the info!
Actually it's an e190.
No Boeing aircraft are permitted to fly into London city and the airbus a318 is the only airbus aircraft allowed to fly in but they have been retired for a few years now.
Most of the jet engined aircraft you seen would have been apart of the ejet series from embraer and the prop aircraft would either be atrs or q400s
Do Carlisle after Manchester piccadilly
I'm getting rather tired of having to tell you that Carlisle will be done later this year!!
hi tornado pleases can yoy london blakfires
I don't know if you are allowed to film there
love the video Tornado! Do i have permission to start a fan sever on discord?
Thank you kindly! Be my guest!
@@Tornado922 Great! I will send a link when done
Great video
