    Thanks Lee for taking time at the swap meet to say hi. It was nice to meet you and please keep up the great content. It is disappointing to hear that was the last swap meet sponsored by the model t club. Looking forward to the Portland
    Swap meet in April, we will be Manning a booth for the 33rd year! Hope to say hi there again!

    Hi Lee and Shannon , thanks for another road trip . Shannon , I recall years ago Lori borrowed my Dad's jig saw and he said don't break it . The next day while I was at work and she was cutting a piece of wood she some how managed to get a bunch of her hair caught in the "make the blade go up and down thingy . " Since she was alone at home with the help of a bathroom mirror she was able unscrew the saw's body , unravel her hair and put it back together again in one piece and it still worked too ! We never told Dad . I'm trusting the vehicle window would not have been quite as big an issue . Thanks again for the adventure . Have a great week !

    How many mpg of diesel you get out of that great looking ride what transmission are you running thks plus run Delos 400 add some Lucas additive oil change at 4000 mils I do mine at 3000 and fuel filters on second oil change I have three fuel filters

    • @LGKustoms
      @LGKustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It has a dodge 47RH automatic transmission. MPG averages 20 empty and 13 pulling a loaded trailer. It still has 4:11 gears, I’m thinking with a gear swap to 3:55 or maybe even a 3:25 would help the mpgs.
      When it was FE powered I got 4.5mpg with the trailer and 9 empty. 😣

    I am subscribed so not sure if I forgot this channel or our lovely folk who run youtube just never notified me. I'm seventy three so there is at least one more option available. I find its a good thing that I am not a wealthy man or parts and pieces of any ford would be in my tiny (If I were this wealthy person) ten thousand acre ranch dedicated to just the outside rigs that had cement under the rigs and a deck built over the tops.... of course the nice ones that just can't handle outdoors would be in one of my "Bowins Airport" most likely spelled wrong but I am sure you can figure out that airport in seattle I refer to that was the largest building under one roof for many years. I don't remember too much of this area anymore. Born in N. Carolina, raised in Rockport Washington from age eight to mid teens where I found myself a free travel ticket to a foreign asian country... vietnam. I got home before I turned twenty one so worked in the woods like most young guys did from the area till traveling to alaska and worked as a mechanic for the rest of my life. Wild times in the southeast, didn't personally grow up till my late forties, headed for the big town of Anchorage..... and after a few years found myself in my forever home in Wasilla. If you work yourself as a mechanic, then you know that everyday is a work day and if they added another week to the already seven days a week job, that is where you would find me. After getting crippled up in 05, I found myself not able to work, should of quit working for the other guy (me) and just spend time as a hobby mechanic and auto restorer of anything that burns some form of fuel. I have a million stories of things that run on something including getting on a kick of making hydrogen fuel cells for different engines. My problem is you never work a day if you love what you do. Oh I have stories that mean everything to me, others not so much. I am guessing now that you live in the Vancouver area of canada. I made several trips there, my brother Larry went to the gardens there, was eating lunch, says to the wife... don't feel well and then passed away at his seat from a aneurism .... he never knew what hit him so a good way to go if ya have to leave ...... about all I can say about that. I claim to be a ford guy but for some reason, have own just about everything that burns fuel. I had best shut up and recheck your channel out again as I said, already subscribed so must be some reason

      @LGKustoms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What kind of mileage is the truck getting now? I’ve heard if you run a 205 degree thermostat out of a common rail in the 12 valve they get better mileage.

    • @LGKustoms
      @LGKustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Empty I get 20mpg. Towing I average 15mpg. I still have 4:11 gears, I think upgrading to 3:55 or maybe even 3:25 would really help the mileage.
      The dodge truck this engine came out of had 3:55 gears.
      I haven’t heard about the thermostat changing the mileage. I have a 195° thermostat in this truck.

    • @kmac9759
      @kmac9759 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LGKustoms not bad for 4.11 gears. I have a buddy in nevada that swears by the high temp thermostat. Ill find a part number.

    • @kmac9759
      @kmac9759 ปีที่แล้ว

      Super cool truck. I just bout a 72 ford f350 with a 10 ft utility body on it to swap to a cummins. Has a 390 and a 4 speed in it that runs decent, but definitely needs an overdrive.

    • @LGKustoms
      @LGKustoms  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a great question. I never kept track haha. The truck usually gets around 20mph on the highway. It has 4:11 gears and could really use a swap to 3:55 gears
