RECIPES:
BEEF SOUP RECIPE
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Beef shank or beef brisket
- 2 onion
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp of peppercorn
- Cabbage
- 4 medium size pieces of carrots ( You can also add potatoes )
- Spinach
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 cube beef bouillon
Put beef in a big pot, add enough water to cover it and bring to boil in high heat.
Skim off skum
Add onion, salt and peppercorn
Cover and simmer for 2-3 hours till meat is tender
Add more water if needed
Increase heat to medium high
Add carrots and cook for 10 minutes
Add fish sauce
Add beef bouillon cubes
Add cabbage and spinach
Taste and season with salt
Serve with rice. Enjoy!
SOFT BRIOCHE RECIPE
- 2 tsp dry yeast
- 273 ml milk
- 830 ml Flour
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp soften unsalted butter
To golden: 1 egg
Put dry yeast and add a tbsp of warm water to the stand mixer.
Leave it to rest for 10 mins at room temperature
Add milk, flour, egg, sugar and salt to the mixer
Knead for 10 minutes
Add soften butter and knead for 10 mins
Cover with table cloth and leave to rest for 2 hours at room temperature
Remove cloth and cover with plastic and refregerate for 12 hours
The next day
Apply pressure and take out the air
Split the dough into 6 pcs ( 120 grams each )
Put in creased bread pan
Allow to proof again for 2 hours in a warm place
Preheat the oven to 160° C ( 320° F )
Brush with egg and bake for 25 minutes
Enjoy!
CREAMY GNOCCHI WITH SPINACH AND BACON
- 500g uncooked potato gnocchi
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small garlic
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- Dried parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spinach
- Bacon
- Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley
Cook gnocchi in a large pot of water for 2 minutes or until they begin to float in the surface
Cook bacon and set aside
Add butter and saute garlic
Add the chicken broth and heavy cream
Add dried parsley, salt and pepper
Add cooked gnocchi
Add the bacon and spinach
Stir to combine
Add a splash of lemon at the end
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese
Enjoy!

Amazing! I came across your video a few days ago and did not get it first. Then I figured it out - they remind me of how one can find pleasure in little things every day, minute, hour of our life. Most of us don't live "slow living", have no time to notice how beautiful winter snowy days are or colors of fall, warmth and comfort of a fireplace and shared family meals... You teach your audience exactly that lesson. Keep it up! Great job. And please maybe you consider listing brands of some items that you show in your videos. For instance I would like to know the model of the kettle you use to heat and pour water over your coffee. The one with a long narrow nozzle:)
You are right, the snow has a magical feeling, everything is white and quiet, nature is sleeping while preparing for spring to arrive. Your videos show the importance of every day gestures, things we do and take for granted instead of appreciating each moments. They are a reminder of being grateful for all we have. Cooking and baking bring warmth to a home with the aromas of food. I believe that women should get a salary for staying at home and taking care of all the chores to create an inviting home. Thank you for transmitting peace and beauty to all the viewers.

I buy myself flowers every week to brighten my week and I also have a balcony patio which I plant lots of flowers and plants in the Spring and enjoy my mornings sitting it there having my breakfast, lunch and dinners. Brioche looked amazing. Love all of your recipes..

I was so delighted to find your channel. I've begun buying fresh flowers, especially tulips and miniature daffodils. I love to light candles and settle in with a book or magazine while I have a pot of soup or stew on the stove. Strangely enough, what I'm looking forward to most this year is surgery on my shoulder. It will help with the constant discomfort and difficulty moving it. Looking forward to your next video!

It's always so odd to me to see trees so spaced apart and with nothing between them. I live in a rain forest and you can't walk anywhere except where paths have been cut through it, there's just too much undergrowth.
