If you like some Film Noir, I’ve just watched Ride a Pink Horse and can highly recommend it. It’s a bit different, taking place in a poor, small town in New Mexico during their fiesta. Directed by and starring Robert Montgomery from the Noir novel by Dorothy Hughes. No idea if it’s in the sale.
Am I wrong for being surprised that there's SO much fuss over the CC flash-sales, when the Amazon prices for many (most?) discs are only _slightly_ more than (or the same as!) CC's 50% off? Or are many Amazon prices really not as close as the ones I've checked? Sure, it's good to directly support CC (and get loyalty points), but the excitement over flash-sales made more sense to me when I still mistakenly thought that the 50% off applied to CC's everyday prices, as opposed to the reality, which is only 50% off of their crossed-out SRPs (Standard Retail Prices).

Forgot to watch this video before we put in our flash sale order but my girlfriend and I definitely took advantage of the sale haha. We picked up La Llorona, The Fisher King, Videodrome, Tampopo, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and Good Morning

I'm a newbie to the flash-sales, so I felt dumb when I was about to place my order and realized that it's only 50% off of the SRP, not 50% off the prices their site normally lists (which are already lower than the SRP)!

When I saw my total was considerably higher than expected, I quickly realized my mistake, but worried that if I took the time to selectively trim down my cart, then things might start selling out. So I removed 1 item (out of *many*) and plowed ahead to the Place Order button---I'd spent too long fussing over that wishlist to just decimate it at the last minute!

I ordered Night of the Living Dead 4K (I have Dawn of the Dead 1978 4K, and apparently Day of the Dead 4K is being worked on, so I wanted Night as well), Mildred Pierce 4K (a great movie), La Jetee (to go with the 12 Monkeys Blu Ray I recently bought), and Insomnia (I've seen the Christopher Nolan remake, so I wanted to check out the Swedish original)
I was going to order The Parallax View but I see that it has received a new 4k scan so I'll wait. It may yet get a 4k release. Baron Munchausen an Personal Shopper are a couple of others on my list.

Do you know when and where any good sales of Region B Criterion releases happen? It would be handy to know, given the prolific Criterion sales I know are US-based, therefore region A
I don't collect blu rays, only 4ks. I currently have wall-e, uncut gems, menace 2 society and raging bull from Criterion. I'm considering blow out and dazed and confused which I'm pretty sure I'll like, but I'm not sure what to pick for a 3rd film. I don't wanna get one of those arthouse films that feel pretentious, stuck up and like they're sniffing their own farts so I'm struggling to find a third.
Within the US, how long does it normally take for them to deliver during these flash sales? Do they have a tendency to get a bit backlogged on getting them out?

Don't forget Criterion ship to Canada as well as the USA, so if you have friends in the 'north' it may be an option to ship via Canada.

I just ordered the Three Colors Trilogy 4K set. At 50% off PLUS my $10 off gift for being a Criterion Channel viewer, made it an easy choice.
