Regarding that, 95% of all commercial flights depart facing towards the Nairobi national park in order to reduce risks of crashing into the houses over south c or Nairobi West. Regarding students, any student taking his/her first solo flight ( flying alone without an instructor), will have the airspace cleared for them I.e no departures or arrivals anywhere near that aircraft until they takeoff and come back and land (usually takes less than 5min) in order to reduce risks of collisions.
