9:48 he is oozing wisdom. Reminds me of the Kisumu international airport land eviction 1942 that has never been compensated till date. The court case keeps on being postponed year in year out. The 66 families evicted are yet to be compensated. The case is in the Environmental court in kisumu.

During the golden days of the WRC1 Safari Rally a rally fan was killed by rotor blades of one of the works helicopters but the shocking bit of this incident is that former Spanish WRC ace Carlos Sainz had foreseen it coming and had warned of the dangers of excited spectators coming close and sorrounding the mettalic eagles.

Last year a primary school teacher was decapitated by the tail rotor in Garissa while she approached the helicopter delivering national examination papers.
...and a certain motorsport fan was killed by the rotor blades when he came dangerously close. It happened back in the golden days of the WRC1 Safari Rally.
Can we also get a seismologist to tell us where we are in regard to earthquakes in this country. It really concerns me when buildings collapse on their own, it leaves me wondering what would happen with the slightest earthquake… architects and engineers too would help answer these questions. Good coverage from that young man, and we are yet to see more.

Kenya has the potential to afford all its citizens a dignified standard of living. Good knowledge of Helicopter operation and safety lakini hapo kwa airfield safety and procedure kiasi nadisagree. JKIA and wilson have enough land for take off and landing not withtanding that there are buildings close to the airport. Most major airports are in conjested cities. By the time ndege iko juu ya utawala its normally above 1000ft, enough altitude to initiate a glide and look for space to put it down or return for landing . Good stuff though

Vipi mwaf, the recent accident was mainly as a result of the pilots failing to maintain visual separation with the other aircraft on departure leading to a collision which could be as a result of many factors such as fatigue , high workload , lack of situational awareness etc.
However proximity of the houses to the airport isn't a factor.
Regarding that, 95% of all commercial flights depart facing towards the Nairobi national park in order to reduce risks of crashing into the houses over south c or Nairobi West.
Regarding students, any student taking his/her first solo flight ( flying alone without an instructor), will have the airspace cleared for them I.e no departures or arrivals anywhere near that aircraft until they takeoff and come back and land (usually takes less than 5min) in order to reduce risks of collisions.
About proximity of houses , they are talking about jkia not Wilson. Planes take off from jkia flying above utawala area

@@IkoNini I listened, understood and digested what he said.I also took my time to respond and I was very careful about it.He said that with the knowledge he has , he would not buy property in Utawala because it is next to the airport: reason being, there is a possibility that a big plane could overshoot the run-way and cause some major catastrophe. He related this to the '' Murphy's law.'' To this end , I agreed with him in my initial comment and I qualified my statement by saying that this being a flight path, next to the airport, they should not have allowed the construction of high-rise buildings. This is what KAA should have enforced; again, citing Utawala ,he says,''Watu washa develop na wako na makesi kotini.'' (4:16). I posed the question, which cases that we are not aware of? You ''clearly read what I said.....but you certainly did not understand the contents of my comment. Feb 8th 2024 Nkoroi Primary School Kajiado North,Ongata Rongai. A helicopter lands in the school field to pick up a politician unannounced. The kids rush towards it 🙆🏾♂️. The politician boards it and it leaves,the politician’s driver ndio alibaki akijibu maswali kwa walimu,just sad.

Wilson isn't the problem. When it was started there was nothing around. People encroached on the land surrounding Wilson, so why should it be moved? It is the encroachers who must move!
