    5 months In with this machine best coffee I ever made in my life. I had another inexpensive espresso machine previously. I learned the tricks using that now I am a pro with my barista pro, I absolutely love this machine.. I don't trust other baristas in shop coz I make better coffees than most of them with fine latte art. My beans are local shop imported dark roast Nicaraguan and another lighter blend Columbian. Secret for good extraction for me is grind size 7 with 14.5 seconds grind time. Depending on some beans I use pre infusion works best on my Nicaraguan. And I go manual for 22 second extraction on the Columbian.

      @@gosman949 the portafilter still has a similar volume, it's just deeper. La Spaziale also uses a 53mm basket. While 58mm is the most common there are many machines that use different sizes, it's not set in stone. What matters most I think is the end result in the cup

    I've had this machine for a few weeks now and it's a very good machine. After I dialled in the beans and adjusted the grinder times it pours perfect every time. I passed on the silvia due to the warm up time being 30+ minutes which was a deal breaker for me. were the pro warms up in minute's which comes in real handy in the morning.

    At barista express, the analog pressure dial is very helpful for biginners to adjust the machine. How can you do the same with Barista Pro?

    • @JanoyCresva
      @JanoyCresva 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That gauge on the express is more of a "roundabout" measurement. Not anymore or less accurate than the volume/time measurement this machine gives you. Let's be honest, if you are making coffee in these priced machines, you should know whether or not you are choking out the machine or if the shot is running too fast. A double shot should take 32-37 seconds from all the baristas i've seen use this machine.

      Go with the pro. Its a newer machine then the touch. Pro has the new 3s thermo Jet heating system. The touch does not allow you to control temperature which is a big downside for me. You will get more control on the pro.

      damn ! i just bought the touch, it's been shipped yesterday, havent received it yet...
      i hesitated a lot between those two. And you know what, i read today that the touch suffers from low brewing temp, around 160 degree or so, dammit !
      bought it pretty much because of the automatic froth and my girlfriend wanted those presets. It seems they still need some tweaking though.
      i thinl im gonna return it as soon as it arrives and get the Pro.

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Barista touch had the automatic milk frothing/texturing. This is a nice feature for people who like automation and milk drinks because it does a good job of it. The Pro has great speed and a more hands on milk frothing experience.

    • @GAR413
      @GAR413 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jessybwoy8677 Have you received the machine yet? The touch may be easier to use because of the automation of milk frothing but I still think the pro is a better choice. If the price is much cheaper with what you got then you may want to just keep it.. I own the pro and its not hard to use. You will need to practice using the milk frothing but you get the hang of it quickly. It does heat the milk quite fast so practice using the washing liquid and water method to create micro foam and then move onto milk. Many you tube vids. Hope you get your machine soon..

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on how advanced you want to get. A common ratio for a double espresso is 2 to 1. So if your coffee weight is 18 grams you would extract 36 grams of coffee. The volume this coffee takes up will be greater because of the crema. 2 to 1 is a good place to start, but it can be changed based on preference.

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The in cup temperature of an espresso is about 80 degrees which is not going to steam. It's hard to judge temperature by site. I would estimate that the water for an Americano will take about 30 to 40 seconds to dispense for a 10oz cup. We do cut some of shots for brevity

    • @sarahacker
      @sarahacker 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      2k5b6quattro He had his grind too small and too full therefor not allowing water to pass through easily. Double espressos should pull in 20 seconds total time

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the extraction time is directly related to the fineness of the grind. The tamp has some effect on extraction time but less than the grind. If you want to slow down your extraction grind your coffee finer, you should aim for about 22-30 seconds depending on preference.

    Half of what he says is a lie. It’s not a stepless grinder. It’s not true volumetric. Depending on your grind, dose and tamp pressure you get a wind range of yields. For a 19g dose you can get from 35 to 58g of espresso. How does it decide how much water to put through when it doesn’t know the weight of the dose your using. Also it doesn’t warm up in three seconds. It produced hot water in three seconds like any other cheap on demand water heater. In three seconds your group head, portafilter and basket are at room temperature. If it produces 9 bar why did they remove the pressure gauge so you can see it working.REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A REVIEW THIS IS AN ADD.
