- The ministry of external affairs has lashed out at a Reuters report claiming that Indian artillery shells were being used by Ukraine to fight off Russian forces amid war. The MEA called the report inaccurate and misleading. "India has an impeccable track record of compliance with international obligations on the export of military and dual-use items," it clarified. Reuters claimed that artillery shells sold by Indian arms makers have been diverted by European customers to Ukraine. It said New Delhi didn't intervene & stop the trade despite protests from Russia. People need to understand that these munitions are not directly going from India to Ukraine, But from other European countries that previously bought our ammo's, Even if India objects , those countries will take the risk since Ukraine badly needs those shells. Therefore its technically out of reach for the Indian government, Even if we protest , they will still use those and find another partner in the future.
