All these years of "friendship", effort to keep him around by Anthony and in the end Benedict Kenny turned on him like it never meant a thing. It probably never did to Kenny.
I love anthony, even now, but let's be real, Club Soda was hired by burr and burr didn't want to see him after Anthony said shit about his wife when he was mad as hell about not being invited to the Patrice benefit. Sad situation as I love all 3 people involved. Can't expect Kenny to not do his job especially when his other friend is currently hiring him. Ant kind of let his feelings get the better of him and burnt a bridge. Sucks
All I know from this is thanks to US law a cop was allowed to perform in blackface. That was a tremendous wasted opportunity to delve deeper. But I get it. They were saving kenny. Poor Ant as well the thanks he got the other day.
@Quake Guy yeah, when burr was overseas and did those shows that led up to his special you could see Kenny there in the background of some of those videos burr did.
But seriously, how fucked-up is that? this guy puts his life on the line and makes it his career to be a good guy and keep people safe and this happens to him....
I love the guys. Listen to them everyday. I’m also a major advocate of freedom of speech and think that people should have the right to speak freely about whatever subjects they want. That being said, the guys are wrong here. The right to freedom of speech does not allow you to say anything you want without consequence. If you want to dress in a KKK uniform and March in the streets, it’s your right to do so. But it is also my right to not want to associate with you for doing so. Nobody is arguing that club soda Kenny wasn’t allowed to say what he said. He’s completely allowed to do so. But his employer is allowed to not want to employ him anymore after hearing what he said. I’m pretty sure the guys would be furious if the government stepped in and told them they couldn’t fire someone for whatever reason. And yet, that’s basically what they are advocating for.
I dont agree. People should have rights before corporations. One way to get around freedom of speech is to say that companies have a right to not want to be associated with someone who says something the company doesn't like. Saying you dont have freedom from consequence is ridiculous. If you're going to have your lively hood taken from you then that stops people from speaking their opinion. Consequence is exactly what Freedom of Speech is fighting against.
Alright what about all the people in the room who laughed at his jokes or the people laughing listening to his stand up? Should all of them potentially lose their jobs or get suspended or lose their pension over a joke? Don't equate wearing a kkk uniform with some blue collar jokes. That's so not the same thing I'm beginning to thing your stupid as I continue writing this. He didn't shout fire and get people killed in a stampede, didn't cause a riot, he didn't say anything racial, discriminatory, or whatever. Just some extreme jokes that people did laugh at.
So where does it end? You have freedom of religion but can your boss fire you if you pray before eating? What about wearing a cross on a chain or a hijab at work? That could make many people uncomfortable. He wasn't on the job, his employer's, the taxpayers mind you, were not effected.

…and now Kenny refuses to acknowledge Anthony even exists and has thrown Anthony out of a comedy club a few years ago. Hypocrite!!!!!!
Kenny is a hired gun. He follows orders
It was about a year ago tops
Hey Opie- does this story have legs? I feel like that hasn't been made clear
This story's legs go all the way up.

Black people do get away with it. Hypocritical

Money was different. But at the same time many still trudge along at 36k for full time work even today.

Free speech is good and well, but a giant, monotone delivery, Ed Kemper looking oaf like Kenny really has no business making rape jokes

I wish police departments would be this vigilant when their employees are murdering unarmed civilians.
It's because club soda's "crime" was political. If you're outside the group, the left will come for everything you have without mercy or limits.
