Beautiful work, subbed. I have the OG as well but have been using the 4k more lately for the higher res. This makes me want to pick up the og again
Thank you so much! Appreciate you subscribing to my channel. 😊🙏🏻 Awesome plan-Time to brush off the dust and get that camera rolling! 😉
foarte frumos ! bravo !
Multumesc frumos! 🥰
Multumim! 🙂
Wow, stunning ! What is your camera/lenses ? :)
Thank you! 🙂 Camera: BMPCC-OG, Lens: Sigma Art 18-35 F1.8
Just amazing 😮 do you use an fd filter also in low light?
Thank you so much! 🙂 In low light, there's no need for an ND filter. I keep my ISO at 800 always. The best approach is to plan your filming, even if it seems accidental. I conduct tests for angles, compositions, and lighting beforehand, ensuring I know what adjustments to make on the perfect shooting day. While not always possible, I try my best.
Apologies, you meant the FD filter... No, I don't use either of them.🙂
@@NEOGRAYFILMSthank you very much
how did you shot in DNxHR ?
Shot in Raw/film and exported-uploaded in DNxHR. The reason, TH-cam compression. Thanks for watching! 🙂
can i buy the lut you used in this video its so cool!
Thank you!! Sure! Send me a message on Instagram or Facebook to "Neogray Films" 🙂
Is this Samyang or Sigma Art in this footage? It’s so perfect image
Sigma (18-35) Thank you! 🙂
What's your go-to lens for BM? Have you tried the Lumix 12-35 F2.8?
what lens was used for this short?!
Sigma Art 18-35 f1.8 with 0.71 Viltrox speedbooster+ VidAtlantic insert. Thanks for watching! 🌞
thank you so much, inspiring video you have made :) i bought my Bmpcc-og i few days a go! did you also use a stand and or nd filter( other things?@@NEOGRAYFILMS
This was amazing! Bit of a specific question, but what font is that you're using in this video?
Thank you so much! 🙂 Font: "Shango Bold"
Btw, this is insanely good actually haha. I don't think I've ever watched a sequence like this and actually felt captivated/engaged. Really impressive man, really
@@OskarViking Thank you!! 🥰 You have made my day! 🙂 I appreciate it a lot! Before I forget, let me know if you can't find the font 'Shango Bold'.
I guess the answer is just practice. But do you have any recommendations for improving your filmmaking. I'm making very different types of content. But I'm just starting, and looking to begin my journey and improving as a filmmaker. Your videos just amazes me, and gives a certain impression I can't put my finger on. Again, I'm as much of a beginner as one can be, but I notice SFX makes a big difference, compisition of course. Any guiding tips in general? @@NEOGRAYFILMS
@@NEOGRAYFILMS Awesome, thank you🙌🙌🙏🙏 Subscribed btw!
Your best work yet! Amazing colours and shots. I’m selling my 4K and keeping this camera. I’ve decided to kit it out instead. There’s nothing like it.
Thank you so much! 🥰 Great idea. 🙂 The BMPCC-og camera still entices people with its organic, unique look. Planning to make a feature with the Og.
This is beautiful! I just got a bmpcc og and this is inspiring. How is it 8k? Is it AI upresed or something? I've used Topaz to get 4k from the og already and the results were better than I expected them to be.
Thank you so much! 🙂 My reason for exporting/uploading in high resolution is due to TH-cam compression... I've heard positive feedback about 'Topaz.' I edit and color grade my films in Davinci Resolve, and there are some upscaling options like Super Scale in the timeline settings... I exported/uploaded this 'short film' in DNxHR format, in 8K resolution, that is, 8192x3486 (2.35 aspect ratio). This time, I didn't use Super Scale or AI upscale...
@@NEOGRAYFILMS wow amazing, i have gotten 4 bmpcc og i will sell one and keep 3 for A, B AND C CAM. please make a tutorial on how to upscale to 8k. it will get a lot of traffic because alot of people do not know that og can out to 4k in post. some of us new biz to camera will learn.
@@Eavenuetv It's awesome to have 4 OG's. I have one. 😁 Do you happen to know the price already? Thank you so much! I've already incorporated some crucial export settings in my tutorials plans.
@@NEOGRAYFILMS okay looking forward to your tutorials, so I got my first Og new from the state, Amazon to be precise for 850 dollars and I bought the other 3 in my country in a local market use for less than three hundred dollars each, they were as good as brand new but the Ir cut filters in them were bad, so people won’t buy them, I got them and bought the coated Ir cut filter from AliExpress for all them, I saw a seller that wanted to sell another for less than 400 dollars I am sceptical to buy, I am suspecting Blackmagic will bring back the Bmpcc Og back with a better codec. I have only filmed two test videos with my Bmpcc Og cameras, Planning to make use of them in 2024. I have been buying accessories to support the cameras, I gotten laowa 17mm lens, 7.5mm lens , 7artisan 25mm, two, k&f filters and I like the look of 7artisan 17mm f1.4, a TH-camrs makes a cage I want that too, I gotten 6 Kingston Sd , if I can achieve half your picture with it, I will shoot a narrative, so I haven’t thought of the price I will sell mine yet. Scary The price is going up on eBay lately.
@@NEOGRAYFILMS Ah! I edit and color grade in Resolve too. This helps and sheds some light on things. I'm still learning and this was good intel. Thank you for your reply!
Lens?
Thanks for watching. Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 with Viltrox 0.71 speedbooster and VidAtlantic insert.
Colors and composition are perfect
@@borxoonThank you!! 🙂🙏🏻
Do you use any kind of camera monitor when recording?
Yes, I'm really happy with my Andycine Ultra Bright 4K monitor. It's definitely one of the brightest monitors out there.
@@NEOGRAYFILMS do you think that the feelworld f5 v4 monitor will work with the bmpcc og?
@@affepaffe420 I think yes... Before you spend the money, check out some reviews. Perhaps the best way to get more information is to ask a question in the BMPCC-og Facebook group. Maybe someone there is using the same monitor.
@@NEOGRAYFILMS i just found a guy on reddit that uses the monitor and it works for him. The battery on the monitor can also be connected directly to the monitor and the bmpcc at the same time wich is nice and makes for a compact and ligjtweight rig
@@affepaffe420 That's Great!
Congratulations on making the same exact “cinematic film” every other TH-camr has made.
Wow, thanks a bunch! It means a lot to know you appreciate it! 😉 I strive to never venture into original territory, just sticking to what's already been done. 😂
Hi nice video! Are you using any kind of speedbooster?
Thanks for watching! 🙂 Yes, I use the 0.71 Viltrox speedbooster ( lens: Sigma Art 18-35 f1.8)
@@NEOGRAYFILMS alright, how does the speedbooster help, do you recomend one?
@@affepaffe420Speedboosters enhance the field of view, enabling a wider image. Take, for example, pairing a 16mm lens with a BMPCC-og (16mm x 2.88 crop factor ≈ 46mm). Adding a 0.71 speedbooster results in approximately 32mm (46 x 0.71). While I'm content with Viltrox, many prefer Metabones for its quality, despite being notably more expensive. Ultimately, the choice depends on your preferences and budget. Your welcome 😉
@@NEOGRAYFILMS is it true that a speedbooster also helps with shooting in lowlight?
@@NEOGRAYFILMS also, will the overall image quality be better and sharper?
Amazing shots!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻😊 Can I ask you What is you favorite scene?
0:35, 0:54
😊Thanks!
