This is brilliant! Wish I had this reference when I first went plant-based because I had no clue what I needed-this will save so much time for people!🙌. Love the sheet and I’ll be printing it out to keep in my pantry. Thank you so much for this video-you two are the best!❤️
Tip to never waste tomato paste: put the remainder of an opened can in a ziplock freezer bag and smash it flat. Just break off a frozen chunk whenever you need a tablespoon or two in a recipe.
Have you ever steamed broccoli and just ate the whole thing? AWESOME! My regret at present is no access to a plot to grow my own stuff, living in a big city there are some, but also no balcony. There's a hydroponic contraption I would like to try out but my cat is bound to a: eat stuff and throw up and/or b; topple the thing over.
No nuts/seeds or nut butters shown here - most folks would have those in the pantry, but I think I recall you keep huge bags of nuts in your freezer. Best kept out of sight and out of mind; pb is my kryptonite so I don't even buy it. Thanks for all you two do to motivate, inspire, inform, and provide!
I always have whole walnuts in the fridge. Sometimes I’ll make a mushroom cream sauce with walnuts instead of using cashews. They’re also good for a healthy snack. The cream sauce is 1-1 with water and blended with a couple whole cloves of garlic, the stir into the water sautés mushrooms and toss in the pasta! So good. I usually blend 1/4 cup which is more than enough for a good serving.
Put that extra tomato paste in ice cube trays -- the little cubes hold about 1 tablespoon. Once they are frozen, throw them in a baggie and you're good to go!
Fun video! Something I keep in my pantry (or sometimes fridge) is organic seeds for sprouting. Trying to grow salad greens outside is a nightmare, between rabbits, voracious ground hogs and deer that'll come right up to the windows and look in, so I rely on sprouts to be my powerhouses between trips to othe grocery store. Sent in my first order of three WYW products this morning.
In my pantry....crimson lentils, french green lentils - great for sprouting, black beluga lentils - part of my breakfast bowl with oat groats and quinoa, quinoa-various colours, sprouting seeds-broccoli, radish, peas, buckwheat lettuce, adzuki beans-my absolute favourite bean
For baking, I use whole wheat four, white whole wheat flout, Yeast, baking soda, pure vanilla extract, baking powder, and a few other flours, chia seeds, and ground flax seeds.
I like to make walnut date balls. A couple handfuls of walnuts, ground up in the food processor, and about ten to twelve chopped dates. Process until looks like damp sand but holds together when squeezed together. Roll into walnut size balls and place onto a plate. Place into the freezer for a couple of hours at least. Then place frozen balls into a lidded container and put into freezer. Makes a nice sweet snack when sweet cravings hit. Usually one or two help take care of that. The raisins and apricots I put into middle eastern rice pilaf. Haven't found another use for the apricots yet.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed. I need to start shopping differently so that I have the healthy stuff on hand, and didn't know where to begin. Thanks, guys!
Will/Reb, seriously consider buying a grain mill. Even Vitamix has a container that is meant for grinding grains I don't know how well it will work with beans though.. I have one but since I have a KoMo Duett 200 grain mill I use it for all grains/beans/etc, to get cracked or ground up flours so I never use the Vitamix for the bigger items. The KoMo is worth its weight in gold! I have owned grain mills for 45 years and use them for everything! Been WFPB for 20 years but before that I made all of my own breads from w/w plus ground other grains into flour for a host of recipes. I keep a large container of chickpea/bean/whole wheat flours in my freezer at all times. I found you recently and you are a refresher course with new and novel ideas regularly. Great ideas on using the frozen products that are now available to the consumer. Since I now only cook for one it has become my go to solution to eating healthy and quick especially. Another idea, cook beans in the iPot and freeze 1-2 portions in the freezer. They defrost quickly and they are ready in a moment!l. Keep up the message and thank you for all you do!
Great list! I totally get the starch group with grains and tubers together. Seaweeds also go in the pantry. If you use them, applesauce, dehydrated coconut, capers, jars of peppers (or cans) like hatch and sweet cherry peppers and roasted red peppers although now I'm rattling off this list I have not found those in salt free. Coconut milk goes in a whole different category in my head than regular plant milk because it's only for occasional curry so it's in there with the soup stuff like canned tomatoes. I used to keep a few vegan soups in the pantry just for emergency instant food and newbies may really appreciate having those handy but after a while the salt and oil will be too much
12:16 - OMG. Truer words have never been spoken about that confounded mango. 😬 It’s DANGEROUS having that stuff in the house when you don’t have time to cook!

Love your videos! We recently found a Costco Soy milk surprise! They have a new soymilk - just soybeans and water. We did a taste compare with Westsoy and Trader Joe's. Very comparable and only $12.69 for a case of 12 ($1.06 each)!
Thanks for this great video! Soy milk also has pretty much the best nutritional profile of non-dairy milks - lots of protein and usually fortified with calcium & vitamins D & B. Plus it's best for the planet - much less water to grow than nuts (oats aren't water intensive, but oat milk isn't as nutritious as soy milk).
The tomato paste won’t go bad. Save it in 1 Tbsp servings and freeze it. Also, soy curls are best stored in a cool, dry place because they can go rancid as they have a higher fat content. So like nuts, I store them in the freezer.
Living in Canada i hear a lot about Trader Joe's but for us it's all on-line. The Almond Cow is the company which sells you a contraption to make yr own almond milk and provides recipes for the leavings ... tempted but so far no. Getting older and soy milk whatever the source adds calcium; also present in firm tofu; big fan of that but yes so many additives in so many brands.

I prefer my own homemade veggie stock, because that way I know what is in it. I use veggie cuttings and peels only, nothing else is added except for water. I have yet to find veggie broth that doesn't have sugars, oils and salts added. Most Veggie stocks seem to have at least salt added. I make a huge stock pot of it and divide it up into various size containers and freeze it.
I'm with Reebs about the beans. If nothing else is available, a half can of Eden no salt added beans is perfect. To those new to this way of eating, your body gets used to eating them. Enjoy. Thanks for the rundown of your faves, Reebs, and Dillon.
I LOVE the TJ's organic soy milk too....awesome....great stuff! By the way, Trader Joe's organic frozen YELLOW corn is really awesome...takes away the BPA in canned foods.

I freeze 2 T portions into ice cube tray and then move to a ziplock bag. I most often use just 1-2T at a time.
Ice cube trays and then pop them into a baggie or a jar and of course keep in the freezer. I do the same with pesto, purred fruit and veggie broth.
