can u give me a detailed explanation of each expansion and its effect on the gameplay? (specially that legend of unicorn exp, it seems i cant find any reviews from it) that would really help me choose what expansion/s should i buy. thanks
I'll have to review each expansion to see if there is a theme outside of the type of card/characters. Rainbow Apocalypse = 1/2 cute nice card and 1/2 dark 4 horses of apocalypse cards Dragons = dragon themed cards Legends = medieval fantasy - d&d or lord or the rings style - themed cards NSFW = adult/sex themed cards Other than those broad themes, it'm not sure if they have common effects or game play variations. But I'll take a look. I may end up doing new videos or update/remakes of existing with this information. Thanks for the suggestion.
STEAL = Take a card from another players Stable (or play area). in this case, you would have to Discard 2 cards from your hand, then you could take a Unicorn from another players play area and move it to yours
I'm just getting into the game and I have a few questions that came to mind. (1. Is it worth double sleeving with a not see through card back? (2. How many cards are in a deck and what's a good ratio for different card types? (3. Is it possible to play a competitive 1v1 version of this game where both players have their own deck?
1) I dont think its needed, theres way less shuffling than compared to a TCG like Magic or Pokemon. I myself just use have upgraded to the official sleeves. 2) the Travel Edition has 56 cards (since it doesn't include babies). This would be the smallest. A typical base game + expansion would be 189 cards (135 + 54). for the most part, you could mix everything then just have a few "decks" to draw from. maybe split around the table. only issue there would be card that look for other cards, since they could be in any deck, like Narhwal searchers. 2b) not really sure on the ratio. I'd have to look at all the sets to figure it out but a guess would be at least 10 basic unicorns, about 15-20 Magic, 20-30 upgrade/downgrades (split more toward ups), 15 instants. then 30-35 or so Magical Unicorns. usually only need 1 copy of each Magical. I'd never go more than 2 copies of any up/downgrade. 1 of each non-Neigh instant, if any. 3) I have never thought about a 1v1, but Its something I'll have to think about. I'll have to try to try it with my Contol/Chaos decks since they would have different cards but be evenly match. final note.. none of this is offical. just my thoughts. Personally, I just have every expansion mixed together, then split the deck in half (one for each side of the table). Others in the community either do that, or just add 1 or 2 expansions at a time, in case you don't feel like playing with a certain type (like NSFW expansion). There is no official rules as how to and since most cards don't rely on specific cards, just card types, mixing many expansions doesn't hurt the balance of the game. The few exceptions to this are some of the cards in the Rainbow Apocalypse Expansion that look for exact cards, but that's why it also added multiples, to make them easier to find. Or cards that search for Narwhals, the more you add, the more options you'll have when looking for one.
I'd say mix your expansion pack(s) into the deck with your regular cards and play with them all together. Because the expansion adds to the deck more so than is suitable to be played by itself

Thanks for the information. I don't do research for unboxing videos, I just go with what either I know or what the general thought is. yes, wizards is more akin to a job type and not defined by gender. its just more of a common thought.
