Hey thanks. Oh I would never ride in the snow , I’m a dry weather rider only 😂 my bikes are just for fun, the car can deal with winter ! I worked out the mpg to be about 70mpg, which is actually not that brilliant for a 50cc but still doesn’t break the bank
They have nailed the ratios in the gearbox. I'm seriously impressed with how this tiny air cooled 4t deals with the big frame/tyres of the Hero. Dare I say you could lose a couple of teeth on the rear sprocket and let that gearbox figure out the rest. Great bike 👍
Totally agree ! The ratios are bang on for the engine , 4th will take you to 30 so can hold a hill at higher revs then when you get to flatter ground you can get into 5th.
Hi Rory, the bike supposed to be de restricted as the electrical block with the coloured wires is disconnected under the seat but it still restricts at 30? Is there more that needs to be done as I think you've done yours ? Any advice would be most appreciated 👍
@@rsf6309 Yes, theres also a pink wire under the tank which needs to be disconnected - it sends the speed to the ECU. If you slide the tank backwards you'll see a black plastic wrap and lots of multiplugs in there, I pulled the pink wire out of the multiplug so it can go back in if needed - it connects to a grey wire if I remember correctly. I might do a video on it at some point if I can bring myself to take it apart again lol
@@nitrorory useless dealer and over a thousand pounds spent trying to fix it at another dealer. It's three years old and he has given up on it been in the garage for two years. Wish we knew. £1500 and over a year in the dealer never sorted it. Would never run properly. New cdi, stator, coil, injection unit, throttle body, and on and on. Been sitting in the dealers for two years now. Son has just lost interest in it.
hi i really want to get this bike as im turning 16 soon but whats the reliability like as i dont want to break down on the road 😂 and whats the acceleration/ torque when restricted as ill keep it restricted so i dont get a ban from riding or anything 😂
I had no reliability problems. I’ve heard they don’t like the rain , it can kill the coil and engine will cut out. The acceleration when restricted is exactly the same - derestriction just lets it keep going over 30mph.
It’s going well! Been good riding weather here recently , dry and not cold. I think they do get a bit better with mileage actually. I’ve got a quick tip to improve performance I’m going to post in a video very soon

Thx for the video
@@nitrorory yes sure... I haved call this morning a second dealer, and he say the same answer... Too much problems, electric, motor, and they have stopped selling
That's a nice looking bike. Would be good to see a Super Soco TS1200 or TC1500 on the channel at some point. i believe they're 50cc equivelent electric bikes. Would be a good comparison to petrol bikes.
Hi Chris. Yeah I quite like the super socos but I think if I get an electric bike at the moment my favourite is the lexmoto cypher. They go really well when derestricted , as in 45mph UP hill. It’s only really the range that lets them down a bit, can expect only 20 miles if riding it quickly apparently.
Hello nitro! Im trying to derestrict mine right now, But I’m having a bit of trouble. Is there any way you can send me any picture or anything just to maybe help a bit? Don’t worry if you don’t have time. Good day!
Google riding reviews forum bullit hero 50 derestrict , that’s where I got the instructions. One bit of wiring harness to unclip under seat , and one wire in a multiplug under tank to remove - it’s one in a connector that goes from pink to grey
@@bullitxxelias5485 yes, you can cut the pink wire under the tank and place an on off switch to bridge the cut gap in the wire. Then you can just flick that switch if you need to go from derestrict to restrict.
Nice vid, bike should come in handy for you when you get the snow!! What would say the mpg is.
