True love, enduring love few ever find. My heart is truly full for them because I can feel true joy for them. A love like theirs may never be mine to have but by their example I know it exists. I was born into a highly dysfunctional alcoholic family and was an extremely angry young man (I totally understand the criminal mentality, although I never crossed over to the dark side). I married a very sweet unsuspecting girl who was raised in a loving Christian home. I put her through an emotional meat grinder. She realized early in our marriage that if she didn't model the unconditional love of Christ to me, that there was a seriously high probability that nobody else would. We celebrate our 47th anniversary this November. I love Jesus and my wife with all of my heart. :) Anyone can have what we have, simply replace yourself with Jesus.

What a great tune. I think it's wonderful for them that they have it documented as they were falling in love. I'm aware that she was married to someone else at the time. Ironic that the song fits her situation... you think you're in your darkest hour and the lights were coming on in the house of love. Who are we to judge? That's between Amy, Vince and the creator/God/higher power, whatever you wish to call it.

This is an amazing video to watch. I believe they were both still married to other people and would be for a few years after this was done. However, I'd swear just from watching their interaction and body language, their eyes as they look at each other ... They were in love or falling already. Yes, I agree….I noticed it w/the two of them at that time, & along with Trisha & Garth too. It was VERY OBVIOUS in both cases. People think that it isn’t something that others notice, but NOT TRUE. Honestly, love can’t be stopped (& no point in trying) between two people when it’s that strong. It just “is what it is!”

I'm not sure I've ever seen this version of the video before. The one that was constantly played on VH1 back when it was new was that one that had scenes from a movie, I think it was "Speechless." I could swear there was another version that had shots of a hillside. Maybe that was a different song.

This song was obviously a premonition about these two. (As seen in the video), when Amy & Vince recorded it, "the lights were certainly coming on in the house of love". And then, "he was out of sight for years, but when something that strong had a hold on her, the odds were 99 - 1, it had a hold on him, too!" And the writers who made a "bet that he'd come back to her" probably made a lot of money! - 'cause the rest is history!
