  • Treatment methods aim to reduce myopia by slowing the growth of the eye in childhood. Main methods include: various glasses and contact lenses, orthokeratology lenses, Atropine drops and sunlight. They have a wide range of effectiveness. How are they used in practice? What are their side effects?

    Of course, I would like to gets my refractive STATE to change, from -0.5 Diopters, or 20/50, to +0.5 Diopters.
    Or practically from 20/50, to 20/20.
    This change takes about one year to accomplish - if you are prepared to commit to personally wearing of a +2 Diopter lens, for all close work.
    Close work must be done at 20 inches, to be truly effective.
    This is Engineering-Science, and is effective it the person takes over control, and makes his own refractive measurements.
    I certainly have done it.
    You should chose to help your own children to do this.

    Doctor, what's wrong with my eyes? I'm 30years old. I have 25.8 mm, 25.9 axial lengths and -1.75dpt and -1.5dpt. I have of start pvd (with floaters) and peripheral retina degeneration. Have I hight myopia or low myopia? And how it's happend that i don't have myopia with -5dpt?
