- I actually never played with someone who was really good at Redstone. I think it's because Redstone is the hardest thing to learn in Minecraft. Like, I don't even know how to properly use a comparator.

Funny thing is, with calibrated sculk sensors now, some sort of special dance could be working.
My guy made a whole brain in minecraft and called it a 'simple working calculator' and then on top of all that he said it wasn't much.
Because it is, depending on how he made the calculator (likely binary) all of those straight lines are just to move information and data around and aren’t much special. It is also likely that he used common arithmetic builds, known by many. The most challenging part is typically how you input the user interface into the accual computational part.

Seeing that calculator reminded me of some Beta builds. Calculators aren't even the most amazing things now, literal MC in MC creations have been done. Redstone can do a lot, but I just have been spoilt with mods like Redpower and I am not able to implement my designs so easily lel.
Only OG repember the real calculatord on reestone using only torches and wires in early beta, fully functional and looking like this too.

This song is so nostalgic! I remembered about when i used to play minecraft after i bought it in a local store and i got stuck in a hole and i discovered creative mode after that. It was 1.12.2 and it was considered a new version at the time, now it is considered old. I saw lots of updates in minecraft and i am glad i didn't miss any of it! Good times.

The fact that this all actually looks simple to me scares me
As a decent redstoner myself with years of experience building calculators, that actually is quite the simple calculator. By the looks of the 7-segment display, it can only add up to 18+18 or 36, which would only require a 6-bit binary system. It only looks complicated because he chose to build it the basic way instead of incorporating BCD decoders in order to make much larger calculations in a fraction of the space

BTW is that display made with some mod? IDK how to make it in Minecraft
@@nomars4827 lol thank you! you can actually do it in vanilla Minecraft and once you understand the concepts behind why it works, it becomes easy. Just look up “redstone 7 segment display” on TH-cam and you’ll find hundreds of tutorials
