Redstone is basically the core of what a real computer does and uses. A bit, a 0 or 1 signal, thats what redstone basically is and since that is the core of every computer and software, you can actually build computers and other technology in minecraft using redstone.
Just 5 seconds in, the giant cat made from blocks moving around using video imput is one of the most adorable and incredible things I have ever seen. That would be amazing to just see moving around in a Minecraft world.
Imagine a co-op minigame where the goal is to traverse an obstacle course but your friend has to make the pathway by moving in front of their camera so you can move through the game

They manually removed the unmovable blocks (Obsidian, chests/spawners). The main goal was to farm terracotta.
