Sounds like he’s starting to remember what it’s like not to be used by other people like Hollywood does. Starting to remember what it’s like to have family who actually love him.

      I don’t think he’s ever had that.
He’s Jewish he’s not Christian yet.
They don’t have families like Christians do.
You are looking at him through the lens of your own faith. Judaism is very very different from Christianity.

Wow! I am moved. Essentially what this man is saying is that getting to eat dinner like a friend of God’s is better than all the world’s riches. It’s so beautiful… he encountered a group of people who didn’t care about his status and allowed him to reencounter his humanity and God at the same time. That is so impactful and convicting for me. ❤️‍🔥

Hi Bishop , I know you probably are unable to read all of the comments, but if you do can you tell Mr LaBeouf that this interview was a blessing to me and tell him thank you!! I am older, but came back to the Catholic Church a year ago after being away for over for over 40 years. I went through some rough times and did some things I am not proud of. It was good to here someone who is winning the struggle! I have always felt badly for people that are celebrities in Hollywood. Every desire and sin you could want in spades. On the surface it looks good, but you don’t have to dig deep to discover the mistrust, lack of true friends and the lies. It is awesome to see someone in work their way to real peace and joy!!

I had the same thought when I saw this video post. I felt distraught about my age-mates/peers at large and prayed for them almost in defeat, wondering if this will always be a lonely narrow road with no one to look to who actually appreciates the enormous beauty in kind, just knowing there are educated normal modern people who choose the faith and experience conversion after an incredibly human and holy encounter as a young or youngish adult and convert as catechumen other than my patron saint (Augustine) and the Bishop Barron/Fr. Mike community. 5 years Catholic now since my 20’s and I’m increasingly feeling like a unicorn among peers. Which I’m totally ok with, just sad that so little people in real life see the true beauty with the same level of enthusiasm and urgency as I did. I learned that it’s not up to me, but I forget how great God is when we pray. It was so unexpectedly uplifting, just to remember God can catapult anyone into a deep dive that transforms our intellect and ego into faith, wisdom, and charity. Jesus you amaze me

He's older than me, and has made more money then I probably will in a lifetime, not to mention his skill as an actor, but seeing his reaction to Bishop Barron talking about how Christ talked to sinners and him describing how things clicked, it's so cute! His excitement is so endearing. Seeing the humility he has been capable of in certain projects he's worked on has given me hope for him and I'm delighted to see it confirmed in my lifetime. I'm confident his witness will help some of my generation. If nothing else, it's at least encouraging.

In my opinion, Shia was suffering from severe PTSD after witnessing traumatic things as a child. Hollywood only further compounded these issues, and he spiraled out of control. At no point did anyone try to help him, and he was always looked at as a disgusting villain. But I always felt sorry for him, because it all looked like a cry for help.
It makes me happy that he's found faith, and is learning to love and be loved. I hope he continues on his path of recovery and finds peace. Religion isn't an instant cure-all to everything. Life will have its ups and downs. But Church and religion can give you the foundation and tools to deal with those dark moments. And I just hope Shia is surrounded by a community of people who will continue to support him.
He has a lot to offer this world. He's incredibly talented and gifted at reaching people through his words.

We shouldnt pray to mary that isn’t biblical

The Bible says in 1st Timothy 2:5 that “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” So, because the Bible says that Jesus Christ is our mediator, that means we should pray in Jesus name, otherwise the verse would say Mary is our mediator, or Paul, or peter, etc. but because God tells us that Jesus is our mediator for humanity, and is between God and man, that means if you want that prayer heard, you ought to pray it in Jesus name. Hope this helped!

Catholics don’t pray to Mary through the rosary, we ask for her intercession in our prayers to God. Like the wedding feast at Cana, her intercession is what led to Jesus performing the miracle.

For Anyone confused about the Rosary, I encourage you to listen to Father Alar’s explanation of the Rosary. Father Chris also explains why the above Bible reference is being interpreted incorrectly by Protestants.
Pray the Rosary for peace in our world. Not enough people are praying it 🙏🏻

Oh my gosh’ like you wouldn’t believe! How hard it is to shut the voice up in my head like Shia explains it here. How difficult it is.🙄🤦🏽‍♀️
It’s much harder when you’re surrounded by the those who don’t understand.
    This resonates. Thanks Shia.

I am so glad for you, Shia! I went to confession last week & my priest gave me my penance; "Say the rosary. Do you know how to say the rosary?" I flashed back to saying the rosary when I was little & thought "Of course I know how to say the rosary." But I have prayed a rosary everyday since then & it is different. Thanks for sharing!

I am a mother of 10 grown kids and part of it is unconditional love..nothing my kids can do will make me ever turn my back on them..no person..nor rumors...I am so happy to Shia continue to grow and I know all of the things that have happened is because God is bringing him closer to him...and wants nothing from him but his unconditional love as well...so happy he and his mom made up...he is so talented...we all make mistakes...true repentance is learning from those mistakes and turning your back to them...it sounds like he is well on his way to becoming the man I know he can be..the father and husband his wife and child deserve...and the right real friends will find their way into his life...Good luck friend and Godspeed..

Could not fathom why….until now. Keep going Shia, there will be bumps but this is what you were born for.

You know ever since I saw Shia in Transformers I felt like he was different(in a good way). He had something in him, a light that shined brighter than all those around him in Hollywood. I know now it was the spirit of God. In the bible it says that those who have the spirit of God in them can see the spirit of God in others. Shia has it in spades

Thank you so much Bishop Barron. This is it right here. Never ever ever think you do not have a right to God's mercy. With contrition, the greater the sinner, the greater the claim on God's mercy one has according to St. Faustina. Every single one of us no matter how dire the situation looks, God's mercy can totally transform you and transfigure you. He'll break up your sinful ways and change you. Everything, absolutely everything, every single aspect of your being and life can be transformed to be the absolute best by opening yourself up to His grace.

I've fell into deep prayer recently. I almost became unconscious in prayer, and I was battling for conscious prayer. I began to sort of dispel all the attacks and I was conscious once again in this state. I've found that through this time of prayer I had it was about seeing the beauty of life through the eyes of a restored soul.
Shia LaBouf starts off saying he was sort of tricked into it but in a good way, as to "see". This is what happened to me in this prayer. It's really about seeing the quality of life through a healed form with the help of God.
I'm so harmonized Shia has sought out God and came to this point. It's great to hear about these transformative testimonies. God is waiting for each one eagerly and He's with open arms, ready to accept and transform our lives.
