The rare trunk ac option with a evaporator and fan mounted below the rear package tray. What an amazing car for 1963. I really missed out on this one.

The last year of full design control by Virgil M. Exner Sr. and the last Forward Look Imperial. The only styling contribution to this design was the tail lights, designed by Elwood Engel, to replace the "gunsight pods" on previous Imperials since 1955. This car has excellent restoration potential for a museum collection due to its LBJ connection and previously owned by a U.S. Naval officer.

Funny how it looks like the car has rear A/C based on what's in the trunk. I was hoping he would say for sure. What is really strange is this Imperial left the factory without A/C in the front. What we see is either dealer installed or aftermarket.under dash A/C. Usually you would.see.in dash A/C and maybe rear A/C, but not rear and no in dash A/C. The only logical explanation I can think about is that it was chauffeur driven and the only person who had A/C was the rear passenger.

Not my favorite president by any stretch of the imagination.
