Good for you for getting an SSD for your PC! For the external hard drives, the culprit is usually because it was an HDD (which has spinning parts inside that slow down or fail over time). If you’d be looking into external drives in the future- always go for SSD’s regardless of brand. The Samsung T5 or the newer T7 are highly reviewed and recommend by professionals. They’re twice as expensive but small and reliable. I’ve also had several HDD’s that failed on me before (different brands from Seagate to Toshiba) and I learned upon research that HDD’s are simply old tech are just not reliable for heavy or longterm use. It’s a physical limitation because of their moving parts. Now that I’ve been using SSD, I’ve kept them for years without fail. So not to be a Debbie Downer, but I’d be wary of those Lacie ones as well. Please proceed with caution 🙏🏻 It definitely hurts to lose so much files or data you’ve worked hard on.

Nicely put vlogs. Already subbed. Sorry for your files lost. I almost surely knew that bringing your faulty HDD to the repair shop will never work. I learned it the hard way as i also lost mine to a WD external HDD too. Also brought mine to a technician but to no avail. To be fair though, i still have another WD external HDD which still works like a charm 12+ years now.

I have a LaCie hard drive and I find it so hard to import a lot of my iPhone photos smoothly
hmm i just airdrop them from my iphone to my macbook then i copy the files to my lacie drive 😬
