you were totally right saying that to that mom
That's awesome that you spoke to that boy who was going to tag the rock! Way to speak up!
Years ago I stopped a women with children, who ate lunch at the park in Reno Then left all there McDonald's Bags and drinks. She got in the car and I knocked on the window of her car and told her nicely, she needed to clean up the mess .She went back and cleaned it up!
I truly love how you are so passionate about keeping the world clean and litter free. My town organizes a community clean up and groups will go around and pick up trash. It really irritates me they do all that work and the non caring people toss bottles and cans all over. Ughhhh 🤬
As a Mom of many kids thank you for sharing that wisdom with that mom and her kid! We travel out west a couple times a year and rv and I am always anxious about our kids doing something that affects others time outdoors and nature… for instance “crack the crust” which is a huge Moab saying, we learned and repeat 😂 Moab is one of our favorite places ( love it so much broke my ankle there lol 😂) but honestly thank you for helping… you obviously know so very much how about the areas you stay in and around and while one of the reasons myself , hubby and my kids enjoy your content! So sorry about that mama’s attitude, it’s one thing to offer advice when someone’s just mad at people having kids there which honestly, I thankfully haven’t experienced lol …it’s quite another when someone is willing to educate and support you and your kid by teaching and sharing why and how to respect outdoor spaces.
Rant over lol! Have a blessed day!
Not writing on things that you do not own should NOT be a new or foreign concept! Good job stepping in, and I'm glad that things did not escalate further. 🤦♂
$8.00 (& a free water tank fill) after seven days w/no shower? I would have paid $20.00!
Speaking of that parent's attitude, I ran into a similar situation down at the mall in D.C. where there were a few kids were throwing rocks at a squirrel. I waited for a few heartbeats to see if any of the nearby adults were going to say something, but they didn't. I was pretty far away so I admit that my shout of "HEY! DON'T DO THAT!" was a tad on the loud side, but the adults looked at me like _I_ was the one doing something inappropriate. The kids stopped, tho, so goal achieved!
I remember once my sister "parented" someone elses kid, because their parent wasn't doing anything to stop them from being obnoxious (and they were well within the age where they would know better, etc).
When the lady said "don't parent my kid!!!" and my sister goes "I wouldn't have to, if you did"
Fangs and Family. Been there. I just show up to Family Reunions with a Base Ball Bat. And a Glove and a Soft Ball. I am the Military Medic so purdy sure we can get that fixed. =)
I wore my Happy Camper shirt today for my cat Lily's vet appointment for good luck! We were rewarded by seeing 2 cute small dogs and the office's big laidback orange cat, Sunny napping in his bed on the reception desk! Love how Camper takes over the driver's seat when you aren't driving!
Yay!!!! We are so close to launching our second piece on limited merch and I’m sooooo excited about it! I think it will be done in September!
So cute!!! Me too :-)

@@NikkiDelventhal You need a man badly 😅😮
@@NikkiDelventhal Last time you had sex?
@@NikkiDelventhalsomeone should lecture you on how you should pick up your dog shit just cause you’re out on in nature that doesn’t mean you’re except from picking up your dog shit. Pick up your dog shit
I love so much that you said something to the kid about the rock. Thank you for being you and being brave enough to speak up! I’m always so grateful for every single episode. 💜
Sandal! I’m so thankful for you, your kindness & that we met this year! And that I know you’d do the same ;-) - big hugs girly!!! U make me want to be back in my prius!!!!
I commend Nikki on calling out vandalism as she sees it happening, not staying silent. The mother is part of the problem; who really cares if she’s offended?
@@NikkiDelventhal indeed i would! Thank you for leading by example.
You were so right to say something to the child and you did it calmly and politely, that mom was out of line to confront you, hopefully the child will remember the lesson, so sorry you had to deal with a rude obtuse person
Just remember Nikki we are always here so if you need TIME for YOUR self......TAKE IT!!!!!!
We get it!!!!!!
Seeing how great Camper and Rodney get along makes me happy for all three of you. Look forward to seeing you all each week. God bless, and safe travels.
As a mom, thank you for speaking up. I believe it takes a village to raise a child, and sometimes, I miss things. I would want someone to speak up so my kid learns to do better. And thanks for sharing your journey.
Leave No Trace is so important! As someone who was so incredibly privileged to grow up in SE Alaska, I can say that it really does make a difference! Education is key! Thank you for spreading the message and reminding all of us to do the same!
Your videos are just so sweet, I love Camper and Rodney. What a great addition to your life. Thank you for helping the animal shelters and thank you for the wonderful videos.
I subscribed to your channel a few months ago and have gone back and watched a lot of your old videos along with your recent videos. I really enjoy viewing your channel and I love how you educate us on the places you visit as well as showing us the beautiful scenery.
As a dog lover too, it is great to see how much you love your dogs and they love you. As a parent of one daughter myself, I worry about you be alone for much of your time on the road but you have a great head on your shoulders and it appears you take a lot of safety precautions.
Please stay safe and I’ll be checking every Friday to see your latest adventure.
At one place in the UP, somebody left their pack and a mess of water bottles and snack wrappers. I checked the area for who it might have belonged to, and nobody was around. I picked up the mess and also took the pack as my pay for having to clean things up. It gave me plenty of water for the trip, sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks. It also had a bunch of the bullfrog game cartridges in it that one of my coworkers kids could use. The pack has now become my vehicle bug out survival kit for if I have to hoof it for help.
I would have told that kid, "If you carve your name in that rock, I'm going to carve my name on you!" Yeah, I'm dark like that, but it does get the point across!
Awesome video as always Nikki, Camper and R.V. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Thank you for saying something to that kid ! It is so depressing to see what was once a beautiful natural area and then see it marked and disgraced by graffiti. I personally do not want to see that . Hopefully this kid learned something.
Keep up the great videos with you and the boys - they make my day ❤
I'm sorry to say the brat kid probably didn't learn anything with having a mother like that, it's a sad world sometimes.
You must be a Karen
Graffiti is part of our culture, ok on rr cars and bridges but it is all bad, wonder if you see it in China. Out BH.
You must be an illiterate troll.

Back in the day (1980), I drove just shy of 1000 miles from Chicago to Denver in 24 hrs. That's when the speed limit was 55mph on average. You can do it Nikki! You go girl!!
In 1979 I drove from Columbus Ms to Denver in 3 days when I got outta the Military!!! Had never been out here...Been here ever since
Hi, Nikki. You and cousin Sarah are two of me and my beautiful girlfriend's favorite content providers. Keep up the good work!! Responding to us makes us love you even more!!!!
A few years ago, I found out I was able to move but only had 14 days to pack, find a house, reserve a truck. I drove over 5,000 miles in 7 days. The two days I didn't drive, I loaded and unloaded a 26-foot Ryder Truck. I was exhausted after that week, but had to unpack the boxes for 2 weeks after that.
Good for you for calling out that kid and his parent. That is awful that she would allow that.
Parents not disciplining their kids is one of the biggest problems I run into on the road.
Bruh there are more important things calling a kid out who's not hurting anyone or anything and if you are triggered by people doing graffiti which is an art form than you are a Karen
@@Justinwulf0027 Dude you are SO CLUELESS.
What was the kid writing with?? Spray paint?? I’m so curious like if it was a crayon would it not just get rinsed off?? I have no idea how much rain Utah gets though
@@RPRosen-ki2fk clueless about what
I'm always amazed. I travel so much I recognize most roads and camping places you are visiting except the beautiful one you started out in.
We have to educate so we can persevere our beautiful nature!
Hope that mom understands the importance of teaching our kids from right and wrong! Positive ways!!
1. That mom doesn't care and probably does not practice the pack it in and pack it out. 2. Thank you for saying something; it cheered me up. It's so frustrating that the decreased level of mental capacity is the reason places get shut down. Take care.
Glad that you told the mom about not painting on the walls. Come-on, that is not ok, specially if you are in a beautiful and natural place as that one. Good job. Thank you for sharing your journeys. It was awesome. Safe travels Nikki.
Thank you for calling out that kid. Leave no trace and respect for the natural world.
Thank you for also buying our products, organicgirl salads. We see you purchase them regularly. What's your opinion on them?
Can't wait for next week. Cheers!
I appreciate you for having the courage to talk to that kid. Mothers tend to be mama bears for the wrong reasons. And I hope the kid learned something from you 💚
As a former OTR Truck driver 1,000 miles in 3 days is so very easy even with the current log book rules its even legal to be able to run 1,000 in 3 days. You can even do it in 2 with time to spare.
There is a big service campaign for sprinter diesel trucks due to cheating scandal. Make sure to check to see if it applies to yours.
great way to white knight her.
Being good stewards of our land falls on all of us. The mom was in the wrong for sure! Such beautiful scenery! I have never been to Colorado or Utah! Just gorgeous!
Good on you for respectfully talking to the boy. I hope someday he looks back on the situation and recognizes which adult was behaving appropriately in that moment. It's always so hard to see people trashing the outdoors, which I see constantly as a truck driver. It just kills me!
Long drives are incredibly exhausting! Good job knocking that out. I think the lack of movement/ blood flow is what tires me the most, along with having to focus while driving a large vehicle with people seeming to fight me all the time. I really hit a wall today, on the tail end of my 70-hour workweek!! Sometimes, you just need to pull into a rest area and close your eyes for 15 minutes, and/ or walk around ... both of those things make a world of difference!!
It took me a long time to develop my endurance as a driver. The most I've driven in one day was around 690 miles, in a truck that maxed out at 70mph. These days, my truck maxes out at 66 and I cover around 500 miles on my longer driving days. It definitely leaves my brain and body feeling fried!!😵💫😵💫😵💫
Great video as always!! Hope the van will be A-okay, ASAP!❤
As a hunter myself, have to have conversation all the time about doing right in nature, makes people so mad sometimes but there’s a code of ethics in nature, which is how you preserve it, it’s not just a take an animal life thing, you should value it.
Thanks for being a GOOD HUNTER!!!!! Appreciate you for that.
And Hunters… pick up your Shotgun shells. Pick up your Litter and somebody else’s.
@@stevemurray2737 yup😉
@@FreedomRock44 same 😁
@@ET74019 Obviously if you are a hunter the “value” of life has certainly become devalued. Nature sorts itself out always if unfettered by human interference.
Interesting to see the self anointed lover of nature Nikki supporting hunting. #Grifter
Good for you for saying something. Kids need to learn how to act and be respectful to all things. Love it❤❤❤
Someone like you who covers a lot of ground and has the opportunity to help others realize what’s right and what’s illegal is a good thing.
You wouldn’t be successful doing this life, if you weren’t considerate and brave.
Thanks🌻
Love the scenery and good job calling out that kids mom
The mom and kid are the kind of people we have to tell every 4th of July weekend to not trash the shores of Tahoe. I know you're apolitical so I'll leave my opinion about how I feel about them out of this. Another great video!
You can't change trailer trash. Great you spoke up. Good on you. You did the right thing
Thanks
Thank YOU!
@@NikkiDelventhal No thank YOU Camper and Rodney V ❤️👏🙌💐🙏🐶🐶❤️
I just completed a road trip with my son. 580 miles some days. It's brutal back to back. My favorite and coolest part was the trek down hwy 93 and hwy 6 in Nevada. The sunsets and rainstorms are spectacular. Thank you for calling out that kid and his Karen of a mother. Unacceptable. Hopefully the kid learned a valuable lesson (mom too). Kids tend to listen to other adults more than their parents. I can't believe how disrespectful people can be to our beautiful natural areas and other human beings.
Highway 93 is very nice. Get off the interstate.
@@TeddyRumble indeed
My dad and I did a 1200 mile trip from western Washington to Frutia Colorado in 72 hours back in May! It was our first big rosdtrip and it was the most fun we've ever had
I think your Dad will agree, back in "our day" the Mother would have immediately corrected the child. Ah, the good old days, sorry you had to experience that. Can hardly wait for pt. 2.
11:01 - Holy hell, as a parent, my issues were never with the kids, it was with their entitled parents and I've had more than one exchange almost exactly like this with having to school adults on how to be a decent human being. What's with people? When they pull the "Don't tell me how to parent my kid." my response was usually along the lines that if they were doing their job, I wouldn't have to.
Hi Nikki. Saw the tears in your eyes in the preview for tomorrow's video. Take the compass and put it in your closed right hand and It will help you navigate your way "to the top" in what we call the journey of life. See you tomorrow!!!!!! Bestie KEN
Look at you a whole episode without forgetting your keys, good job.
Rodney is a new addition since i last seen a vid. Glad camper got a fur buddy!
ALLWAYS A PLEASURE TO SEE YOUR VIDEOS SO REAL, AND VERY COZY WHEN YOU AND THE 2 ADORABLE DOGS TURNS IN FOR THE NIGHT LOVE FROM DENMARK
Colorado is such a beautiful state to enjoy the outdoors. It pains me that some would be fine mucking it up for others, and as a matter of fact, for themselves if they choose to visit again. The kid may not have known better, but the mom's wrong-and-strong behavior sets a bad example for him. Thank you for being a good steward of the environment, Nikki.
In my 20's I routinely made the upstate NY to South Florida drive in a straight shot,1,400 ish miles in 22-24 hours with restroom and eating breaks. Those days are long gone. I cant recall a time when I didnt smell anti freeze while off roading in any vehicle. The rubbing sounds may be a rock that got kicked up into one of the calipers or rims and is stuck.
Sounds familiar, I used to run TX to PA. 1310 MIles, 22 1/2 hrs.
Enjoyed this video and are so glad you are never afraid to stand up for anyone defacing our beautiful earth.
Good for you calling out that kid. It’s because of parents like that that kids today are screwed up.
Another great video. Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints. That’s how I was taught and I always try to help others realise why this makes sense. Keep up the great work ❤
Alot of national park campgrounds have Jr Park Ranger badges for kids to earn. I bring my kids to the park rangers office on site and they give each kid a workbook with information on the area, no trace ethics, about the wild life; some good and what ones to look out for; preservation methods, safety tricks etc. The kids have to do the whole book and then when they complete it bring it back to the park rangers office. The rangers will sign off on their hard work and give them an official Jr park ranger patch (they're all very cool, different for each place and nice quality too!) My kids have been collecting them, and are so proud of their patches. Some state parks don't really advertise that they do this, but it's a nationwide project going on to get kids interested in protecting nature. Dropping this here for my fellow adventurers around kids 👍👍✌️
I wuv...Nikki-kins, Kamper--kins and baby-bop❤! I love you all so much! Thanks for providing a great experience. ❤😂
So nice to look over and see ur copilot and their nose art. Thanks for the content.
I knew the van troubles were going to be bad. See you next week!
Good on you for pointing out the legality of defacing public areas. I am a camp host in a national park and graffiti and trash are a REAL PROBLEM. Keep up the god work. I wish that mom would realize that she is doing her kid no favors by allowing that behavior. That land belongs to we, us, everyone. And frankly I am very tired of the disrespect people show for our public lands.
I just loved the spectacular sunset you got when you arrived in Nevada!! It was beautiful! Thank you Nikki. 👍 Your preview of the next portion of this adventure looks like you had some troubles with the van? At least you got it fixed!! Happy trails to the 3 of you guys! Stay safe my friend! 👍🤗🦮🚐💕
Next week is a dooooozy and so much fun! Haha can’t wait to share (or live now on Patreon hehe)
You, Camper and Rodney Have a wonderful magnificent
weekend and take care out there thank you.🇺🇲🐕🦺💗🦮🇺🇲
Wow you handled that really well, good job for speaking up and defending nature! I hope she was able to reflect on it after and understand.
Thank you for being YOU.... There are soooo many people who have that "brain switch" turned off. Love going through Moab and stopping at the tiny organic market just off the main drag. We would drive from the Seattle area to Florida and back every year. Going across the top ...Glacier..then Yellowstone...to Boston and down the East coast and back through the middle and then do the West coast across to Sedona. Looking forward to an Arkansas to Tennesse run in a month or so. You Inspire us to keep those wheels turning. Thanks again for taking us along for the ride. P.S. any Happy Camper shirts coming up soon??? I was late to the dance on that one...
That’s a lot driving for sure !
I’m older now and 200-300 is all I can do anymore!
You did drive through some beautiful country !
Well done !!
It's going on my end I'll be living in a new RV very soon. Another amazing video thanks for sharing.
I was skiing in Bulgaria last year and a bunch of English kids started pushing into the queue, which being 40 mins long was no joke.
After it had happened a few times, as an Englishmen I couldn't let it slide and sent the kids to the back of the queue.
One kid (10 year old) sat down on the spot and cried, the others went to the back.
There was quite a silence after that but a general acceptance of a wrong being righted.
People should be able to disagree and for it not to be a big thing.
I did spend the rest of the holiday worrying about getting chased by an angry father or two, but there was no need as it was fine.
Just thought I'd share that story as I have enjoyed so many of yours. Hello from England.
Ever thought about a road trip over here?
Salt lake city Utah nice I remember seeing the salt flats it's very cool it looks like snow ❤😊
Great video and thanks for the Words to that boy, hopefully it will stick with him forever ☺️💛🐾🐾💛💛
that sunset entering nevada was beautiful!
Hi Nikki, I just wanted to tell you that I always get inspired to travel in USA like the way you do and let me tell you that you’re awesome. love from India❤️
Great watch and cheers to always standing up for right and wrong 👊🏿
I have camped in every US state, and several other countries, and 3 days sounds rather leisurely for cross country travel as it allows for a good breakfast, sandwich for lunch, and a good grilled dinner and nights sleep. I prefer to travel 6 hours per day, but like everyone, do what I have to do for the situation... 😎
I love your PMA (positive mental attitude) no matter what happens
Love made up terms, why make stuff into 3 letter terms, she is positive, she is great, that's it... No need to "stamp it"
that term is over 40 years old, sorry it bothers you for you to pick it out of all the other comments
If you need to go home for a while, we'll understand. Maybe do a couple of months of day trips around your hometown, just to keep in touch? Thanks, Nikki.
Always look forward to getting back to Colorado, what a beautiful place to visit, Bon Voyage!
I love your videos. thank you for showing places I may never be able to see. You and your dogs are awesome. One day I plan on taking some trips to places you have shown.
Fun relaxing video. I watch wile working out. Good vibes for sure.
Nikki be extra safe when your dogs enter ponds and lakes. Some of them may have very toxic levels for dogs and they could die the same day after exposure to toxins. Even some algae can be very toxic. Stay safe.❤❤
Thanks for coming to Colorado. We’ve lived here like forever.
I just saw your Nevada commercial dancing on top of the sprinter!! Very nice, Fun!!😄
Camper likes to look out ahead to see the horizon, "Where we gonna go Momma Bear?"
Rodney puts his paws up on the dash board and stretches, and stays arms length close enough to get some snacks. My dogs used to do that too, they both lay comfortable for them, and I bend like a pretzel to accommodate. But we slept through the night. Dogs make us better people.💜🐕🐕💜 Take Care Nikki , I traveled alot in the Air Force enlisted during 14 years, Arizona, Death Valley California, Miami, Sicily, England, Egypt, & Arabia. I miss going places...But it was fun...
Sadly if the mum reacts like that, then the kids don't have much of a chance if that's who is raising them. Well done for speaking up!
As a mom of 3 it truly amazes me how many parents do not parent their kids .
You should go under and look to see the fluid dripping not the top and put cardboard under to see what it is it works .
Love the thumbnail of you sunbathing in front of the van, girl! 😂😂😂
Nikki, I have watched, and always enjoyed, your content since back in the Prius days and have alway liked your style and approach to life. That being said, it seems like you are doing a figure eight around the western states. The fact that I recognize the coffee stand is an indication that you have been to Moab too often for your content. How about mixing it up, head into Canada and Alaska. I made that trip last summer in my van and there are a million places to see and amazing hikes and activities all over the north country. I think your viewers would love to see the incredible terrain and cultures that are available to those willing to reach out for it. From inside my van the Wanderer (currently in Maine on the way to Canada)
Awesome trip, worth the subscription, you rock!!
I've stopped several people from marking, drawing, graffiti spraying on places where it's illegal. People have gradually become insanely aggressive when they are on the spot. I'm thankfully not easy to get scared.
I was just above Sedona at "The Edge of the World" with my wife and kids last week. Went to start my GX470 when it was time to leave and nothing! After messing with the battery connections it started. OMG! Seriously almost had a heart attack! Two hours down a dirt road would have been a very expensive tow.
Anyways, keep up to awesome content! If your ever in Sedona you should check it out. It's got to be the best spot in AZ.
To Nicki, camper and rodney . You make my day. If i was alot younger i would be doing what your doing. The only thing was my husband and i converted a school bus. Which i would not have sold it.
I’m just a part time van camper. I generally limit myself to 300-350 miles a day, unless heading home, I might break 400. In a nice car I’ve done 450-600 mile days! I hate seeing graffiti in natural areas. Although in the Carolinas there are a few areas where whole rock faces are covered. I guess once a few did it, everyone else thought it was OK there. When is it not a salad kind of day @ 13:00 ? I dread your next video if you had major problems. As always, stay safe.
Great video sweetie 👍 have fun, be careful on your adventures
I'm so glad you didn't break down in the middle of the Utah desert. Not a good place for vehicle problems. Of course, I guess we'll see what happens next!
Love your videos Nikki D. Thanks for always posting such great content... Pet those little doggies for me. Love em both.
I love that RV park! the other Sun Outdoors parks in town are great too. Literally every time I go to Moab I'm baffled by home many people are there, doesn't matter what season it is.
Nikki, your voice just like Meryl streep, awesome. Have a nice jpurney!
Nikki,Camper, and Rodney, y'all rock! ❤ Peace
The RV lots at Sayre Oklahoma are $7 per night. Plus it's in a park with shade trees and a lot of extra stuff!
Hi Nikki, i'm Gary from New Zealand, i've only just subscribed to your channel in the last couple of weeks and i'm just loving it. I love how you are so passionate about the environment and the way you show us how beautiful the U.S is, keep safe and keep doing what you do, I can't wait for next week.
I 100% would've told her "I wouldn't have to parent your kid if you were already doing it". I've already said that while working retail. Btw I'm a mom of 2
I’m getting accustomed to making coffee before watching your videos! I like little routines sometimes. 😂 I’m sorry you had to parent the parent, and I really hope that kid learned something smart from you and not to play the outrage card from the mother. “It takes a village to raise a child” is a saying for a reason! 🤣 I pray your van troubles are few and far between and don’t cause any damage to you, your boys, or your home! Lots of miles behind you, a lifetime of adventure to go! Safe travels! 💚
I love this! Coffee together! Haha! Man oh man, nothing can get my gears grinding more than not respecting nature and lnt ethics haha! Thankn you!!!! Xoxo
Its that entire takes a village bs that creates brats like that.
