    It's like ford doesn't want anyone to ever remove that headlight assembly. Very informative video👍

      You can do this from the fender well. This is how I ALWAYS do mine

      Remove one bolt on the air box and take it out or move it out of the way and you’ll have full access from up top.

    Also you can get to the back of the headlights just by pulling the inner fender away it’s a lot easier than removing the headlight

      Matt my man, you are right again! We did it the way we did in this video so we could really show people the details of what they're looking at!

      I know I’m 5 years late but just remove one bolt from the air box and move it out of the way and you’ll have full access from up top.

    Getting ready to do this to my 2019 Ford F-150 that came with Halogen Bulbs.
    Diode Dynamics:
    HP24 Switchback LEDs w/ Resistors
    SL1 Low Beam LEDs w/ Anti- Flicker Module
    SLF Fog Light LEDs
    HP36 Cargo LEDs
    HP11 Backup LEDs
    HP5 License Plate LEDs

    You dont need the resistors. I use Forscan to turn off flasher warning.

      What module is that located in? I ordered led switchbacks and don't wanna do resistors.

    You are right they don't the vehicle companies want to add more stuff to each and every vehicle with the "aftermarket stuff" in their factory so they can charge more.

    Great video! My question is if I already put load resistors on rear turn signal led lights, do I still need to put resistors on front turn signal lights? Thanks!

    I jackbup the truck, pull the tire, pull back the wheel well thing and poof , done in 10 minutes without pulling plastic (and risk breaking plastic pins and clips)

    Hey headlight revolution great job man.. I have a question. I already have installed the front led turn signals lights with the resistors on my 2018 ford f150. But I have this situation: The front turn signals lights works perfectly when the truck is working with the battery, I mean the switch is only in ignition position. But when I turn on the truck (start the engine), the front turn signal lights still works but with flickering. It's weird because the lights works properly again if I shut off (stop the engine) the truck. Could this cause by a ground issue? Could it happening 'cause I do not have attached the resistors to the metal chassis of the truck? I hope that you can help me with this situation. Thanks a lot!

    Although LED upgrades are nice. My concern is are they DOT approved ? Not worth the money if they aren’t...

    For you owners of 2016 FX4 the factory fender flares need to be removed, no big deal, I used a set of plastic pry bars to get them off. There is a video of how to remove them but really not very clear and not the easiest way to remove them. And on this video at about 2:45 the plastic support under the headlight has some sort of vent that clips in to the support. Easy to unclip with long screw driver. Of course I snapped the little clip on the top of the headlight "fuck" looks to be just an index point. Other than that is was a sweaty afternoon in the garage on a humid July day in Virginia

    I just bought a 2018. Do you sell lighting packages. If so how much for the front of the truck including bulbs and any other resistors that are needed. And a price on the bulbs for the back of the truck including everything needed.
    I have been watching you Chanel for months knowing I had to upgrade my lights when my truck arrived. Great Chanel!!

    Will the gtr canbus switchbacks fit in the f150 so I wouldn’t have to install the resistor

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They should fit the f150 just fine but we haven't tested them in every vehicle out there. Depending on what year F150 you have they may work better than some.

    How much do you guys charge to do this to a truck ?

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you asking how much we charge for a full lighting upgrade or how much it costs for us to actually take your truck and we do the lighting upgrades? Because we do not take vehicles in and do the lighting upgrades, so we do apologize!

  • @mattrdahl

    You don’t need the resistor for this truck I have led switchback leds the bulbs flash normal just the interior flashes fast, not worth cutting into the factory harness

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matt, you're right. If you don't mind the fast blink alert on the inside of your truck, skip the resistors! Thanks for watching.

    • @cjs033
      @cjs033 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that mine does exactly that. Flashes normal at the rear, but hyper flashing inside the cabin. Would a Novita EP-27 flash relay fix that issue?

    Unfortunately, soldering wires in a vehicle harness such as this is inappropriate. Soldering of wires should only be to printed circuit boards. Solder makes the wire fracture prone, and who knows what type of flux residue is left up in the strands of the wire. In the electronics world, low activity flux is required for wire tinning for a reason.
    The proper method of wire termination in this instance is with properly crimped terminals, and if you're ambitious, contact grease on the wire. The crimps should be shielded with a sealant of some sort (butyl, etc), and then covered with tape or heat shrink. The 3M heat shrinkable butt splice connectors work well too, if you know how to crimp them properly.
    If you have ever dissected a wire harness in any vehicle, your will only find crimped connections. This is true of Ford and Chevy, but also Boeing and Lockheed Martin........

    Don't use the resister. Get a led flasher, and you only need one, costs about $10.00.

    • @HeadlightRevolution
      @HeadlightRevolution  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wayne Sheets unfortunately on these trucks, like most modern vehicles, there is no replaceable flasher module. The blinking function is controlled by the BCM and resistors are the only option.
