- So after setting off and sailing to our 1st destination onboard the MSC Virtuosa We are really excited for our first stop in Hamburg, Germany for the Christmas markets, it is our 1st time visiting Germany and this must be the best time of year to visit.
Hamburg has got so many markets dotted around the city that you can go eat and drink to your hearts content, we dont think they could all be done in one day but its a good reason to come back. We show you what kind of food is on offer and what all the stalls are selling to give you a good idea if you are planning a visit this year or anytime in the future.

Just wanted to say thanks for your descriptions and breakdowns of the processes and how everything works! Cruising for the first time (solo!) in a couple weeks on MSC Virtuosa and something as simple as knowing where to find a toilet in Hamburg (and how the payment for them works) is really really helpful and reassuring to this anxiety-ridden idiot 😂 so thanks!!!

This is an absolutely picture perfect Christmas Market. We loved your tour and the food! Never been to Hamburg but we'd love the non vegan bratwurst (though the vegan looked good too) and anything fried with sugar! Thanks for bringing us along.
Haha those cinnamon potatoes were 🤮. They were cooked lovely just didn't suit our taste buds with the cinnamon, hope you're both ok and well

We didn't have internet, and never have yet so we wouldn't be the best people to do a video. We get data when we are off the ship, the break away from the Internet on the ship is nice

We just brought 2 matching ones as a one off somewhere as we had some cheap ones at home that had chipped and were old lol then next thing we were buying them everywhere we went, different than fridge magnets I suppose 🤣
They are afraid you’ll copy their stuff. A lot of artists won’t let you take pictures. I think if you just do it further away for a general idea it might be ok. That Santa in the sky was amazing.

Hi we just got straight off the ship and there was a few coaches waiting, not sure how often they are but am guessing they would be quite regular . There's always an MSC worker about so if you miss one you could ask them how long till the next bus arrives

Yes the ones we went to did contact less. But we always take a mix of card and cash just incase the machines are down

We didn't have to wait long. But its one of those things you can't judge
Another fab video you two. If the market wasn't there, do you think the cost of the shuttle bus is still worth taking a trip into Hamburg? Just thinking that maybes 34 Euros is a bit expensive to go for a walk 🤣🤣
That's a tough one cus it's nice to have a walkround but like you say that would cost €34, unless you had a ship day and stayed onboard, its a tough one we wouldn't know what to to do either, but then again we would of payed get off just to go get a Starbucks Mug for the collection 🤣

What dates did you do this cruise? Looking to book the euribia one that does the same route on 24th Nov but wondering how many markets will be open.
Hi we googled the Christmas markets and it tells you the opening dates. Think we went the 25th and they had just opened but i would still check the website incase the dates differ each year
I am tempted to do this cruise (going on my first ever at the end of March). Can I ask, did you take cash to the Market? I am concerned about foreign exchange costs using a credit card.
We used our post office travel money card so no extra costs. But i think they expected cash aswell
Hi guys just a quick one regarding driving from Staffordshire to Southampton using the west quey carpark would you say leaving at 6am is ideal. Its our first time trying to drive on the day and park up for the week. Any advice will be most welcome 😊
Ye that should be fine. We left at 6am on a sunday last time because there were 4 ships in and it was the boat show that weekend and we got down there just after 9.30am

Can you get off the ship anytime during the day at Hamburg and Is there a set time you catch your shuttle bus back to the ship? Or can you get back after a few hours xxx
Yes you can get off when you want to. And the shuttles back to the ship are all day aswell. They will probably be every 20/30 mins
