    Part 2: Finding a random wood drill in the forest.

    • @BlueTroll
      @BlueTroll 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      rock to dent it, then burn a hole the rest of the way

    • @1984nighthawk450
      @1984nighthawk450 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlueTroll you can also friction burn a hole in it. Basically its a stick with a point on one end and flat on the other, the flat end is the one that burns through and the pointed one is used with another piece of wood to hold it straight. You make a small bow for making fires and use that on the piece of wood to literally friction burn into the wood to your desired depth

    • @BlueTroll
      @BlueTroll 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@1984nighthawk450 bows are terrible. Don't use them. It's easier to make and use a piston firestarter than a bow

      Find a drill, a saw, and an axe. Spend three months in a gym to push a trunk. Like an escape games app, looking for stuff in a location!!

We used the same idea when I was a Youngin, ahh let me think back, maybe 50+ years back..ouch now I got one heck of a headache..to much thinking I think..anyway, we didn't have rope, or a bit like you used, we used railroad spikes..the raft lasted about 5 years, we found the RR Spikes, but very little of the logs..lol..That's another idea for the Memory Banks..Thanks as always Billy..Take care and quit being such an animal, your gonna hurt something, Like Ossie said !!

I have two six inch rods, two bolts, and four screws holding my lumbar spine together. The surgery was done twenty-two years ago and now arthritis has set in. Be careful! Sincerely, Ossie

    Honestly... It's easier to make a rope out of grass, or make cordage out of wood to use as a rope. Way more convenient compare to doing all that chopping and work.

    • @Johnny-dp5mu
      @Johnny-dp5mu 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      his design is stronger and less likely to fail since the grass ropes would be subject to sheering failure from objects under the water.
