It is important to verify the legitimacy of any software that you download onto your pc, so definitely don't install random software just because your favourite fortnite youtubers/pros recommend it to you.

Gearup booster is basically just a VPN service. Pros don't mind scamming their fans, and they also won't tell their fans that when they purchase software like this, the server is usually oversold with about 100+ other people connected to the same server they're connected to when using programs like Gearup. Sooner or later, these programs are going to come to an end, especially with cloud gaming on the rise from services like GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud, and Shadow PC.

yeah man they reached out to try and sponsor me but i declined. software like that does not work, there is a reason why nobody actually uses it. they wanted me to read from a script that made it not seem like an advertisement and only offered me 1 dollar per download. i hate scam programs like that that trick kids into thinking they can essentially download less ping. good video man

@@lecctron i tried a ping booster back in the day called noping tunnel and it messed up the internet settings on my pc. have yet to download another one, and likely never will. they simply do not work and everything about their sponsorships is sketchy. none of the pro players who are said to be using the program actually use it.

gear up booster only works if you have bad routing to the server, for instance I get 92ms without gear up to nac and 57 with it, so you can’t just say it doesn’t work, it’s just situational, which is why companies like that offer a free trial
I agree, i am in Italy, when i play EAFC, i got 7-35 , but with gearup, i boost italy, i have always 7-10, very stable. it really depends on the location and the game.
I agree, i am using it, it really depends on your location and internet condition, it can readuce my fornite ping from 65-70 to 40-55 more or less, it effect more espercially during the peak hours.

its used to lower ping when you are playing on different regions. for example - my ping on asia is around 150+ without gearup booster (i live in eu and get 25 ping in creative and around 30-40 in normal games) and with gearup it lowers it to 70-100. makes a big difference. the only issue i see with gearup is that its misadvertised.
Very intriguing and yes its definitely misadvertised. I also feel like they would get more customers if they said that too bc cross region gameplay is so bad in this game
yeah,every time I play apex with my friends who live in Korea,i got 120+,but once i use gearup,it can be about 50 or 40,depends on where you are
Some of the game servers are really bad, I can't even get into them, that's why I use gearup, at least I can get into the game
you know what, I was in Russia,everytime I play rainbow six I got 200+ ,but gearup helps me reduce it to around 65, it works for me some times, I can't even open the ubisoft shop without a booster cause ubi has stopped the shop service in Russia

This kind of programs obviously cannot bring your ping from 30 to 0, but they definitely can help in certain situations, and what they do from a networking perspective makes sense.
You should have optimized the program specifically for your internet connection, and not have left all on auto, and then closed all the google tabs you left opened in the background when testing

Yea for me it works sometimes but other times it makes my ping spike to like 100 temporarily trying to find another server route I’m pretty sure that’s wat it’s doin
I don't know about gear up booster, but I'm pretty sure these types of things are meant for like 50+ ping players and will ultimately hurt lower than 30 ping players. Exit lag specifically states this, and I personally see a major drop in ping using their software. in game without exit lag i will get around 55-65 ping, and with it on my ping is around 30-40
I found that GearUp only works when you far away from the server, I played on the European server in Russia (Yekaterinburg) and l got 120+, but with Gearup the lt could be reduced to 70, which means that some remote places are quite useful
I always thought something was weird about it. My ping was spiking all the time when I had it downloaded. Once I uninstalled it my ping was a lot better, and all over the place. It’s weird

You are right. The Internet booster depends on your actual location and the location of the server. It will only be effective when the distance is far away，like I'm in Russia and want to play a game with a server in the UK
also things like adding a program that magically makes your pc faster but its just running more apps which doesnt do anything
It worked for me when I got it about a month ago, I don't know if they changed anything recently on how they connect, I used to get 30-40 ping and with gear up I got 20-30. So I would say something changed with the way it works, or I just got lucky. Hope I helped!

a flaw in your experiment is that exitlag doesn’t work in the lobby for some reason, i’ll get like 40 in the lobby but 20 in game, exitlag and gearup are also heavily impacted if you have fiber internet or not

I would recommend exit lag. It’s an alternative to gear up and also has fps boost settings that are great. It won’t take you to 0 ping but it will improve it. I’m about 65 on nac but with exit lag I’m about 45. Have had it for over a year and highly recommend.
How do you set up restore points and what are they used for. Had my pc for 4 years and have like 10+ games but never dabbled in 3rd party software like gearup but was considering a crosshair program but dont want it jacking up my pc. So how do the restores eork

Exitlag and gear up helps with packets or atleast thats the most noticible thing when u have already under 30 ping but when you are playing on 60 pung it definetely makes it better

*NOTE* Gear up or any regular vpn can only improve ping by improving your routing to the epic games datacenters and aws servers if your isp doesn't do that very well. I use Nord Vpn for this reason and it only helps with my battle royale ping.
I think it's better to be used on higher ping and not 30ish. the reason it could work is how you link the routing. you could actually test it for other region and give us some number if they can do it. the whole point is routing is different and if they really have a good link they can lower it but for higher ping honestly

what gear up does, does actually lower your ping but it mostly wont help u at all. all its doing is routing u to another server that routes to the server your trying to connect to which kinda only helps if your connecting to a server very far away e.g. steam does this bc im from eu and if i connect to a us server in a game and open steam overlay it tells me that it is routing me to that server from another server
Can you try exitlag next time because its more popular than some random ping booster and i know that many pros actually uses it. Also when i tried it myself it didnt make any differences and idk if i did something wrong and just want to compare to your benchmarks
it works for me, its only because on central i get 100 because i live in vancouver. now i get around 50 ping with it, so it works if you have high ping on the server. I only got it so i can compete on decent ping
it helps you if your isp throttles your internet it basicly limits your internet when in high load and causes packet loss but if it connects to their servers it will encrypt the data and your isp cant do anything about it, its basicly a VPN but there server is designed for gaming instead of security
Ok ok, I’m not saying your wrong but, my ping without gear up is 30 but with it is 15-20 in ranked and 0 in creative

this is exactly the conclusion i came to. I used it and realized that I had literally higher ping when I used it.
GearUp booster is very situational for me I kept lagging out and when I wasn’t I sat around 30-40 ping while using the booster I rarely went above 20 ping and wouldn’t lag out anymore Id still get lag spikes though. I believe it only works in more severe situations like mine.
It is different for different people depending on where your internet is located
i never even tried gearup because it didn’t work at all for me, i’ve been using exitlag for several months now and i have noticed a major difference in delay and ping, ofc it’s not the same as being on 20 ping, the 20 ping on central that exitlag gives me is a whole lot better than the 70 i get without it
make a video testing those tweaking utlities, for eample adamx tweaking utility, etc

On asia we have maybe the worst servers, and easterday when I downloaded gearup it actually helped me move from 80 with 5% packet loss to 20 with no loss as usually when servers are not bad. Now I just wonder is there is no malware
Okay your right but wrong at the same time. It works really well when your super far away from the server. Like from canada to dallas is normally 100 but with exitlag it goes to 60 which is playable
i used the free trial once, went from 40 ping to 100
Btw I paid for this for 1 month but it automatically turns on auto renewal so I paid for another 3 - 4 months without knowing, and it actually makes my ping worse
What you want it to do is not what it does. I use it for cod for targeting exclusively game servers that I know will give me the least packet loss/burst. It makes the game go from barely playable to almost everylobby not lagging for me. Also it makes playing outside of servers very close to you playable and less server desync and lag. Also, if you already have pretty good ping, it most likely won't help in a noticeable manner.
Exitlag and network tweaks dropped my ping even lower so i dont think this justifies gearup
I'm actually in Russia, when I play rainbow six, I have 100+ lags， but gearup helps me to reduce it to around 65. At least it still works for me, did you guys know that Ubisoft has stopped the shop service Russia? I can't even open the shop when I'm not using gearup!!!!
it depend on where you live i think and the wifi router you have because in game i usually play 50-60 ping and with exit lag( i know yall talking about gear up booster) but with exit lag it lower my ping to 25-35
I got gear up because I noticed my ping was like 30ms higher on average this past week, and gear up connected me to the optimal dallas server, and I got 0 in creative again, but I think the game is just having problems getting me to the right server now
bro creative has been like 60 ping and ranked has been 25ish. when I used gear up i did get lower ping in creative. idk why

If the server your playing on is really far away it can significantly drop your ping

I personally go from around 70 ping with it off to about 40 or 50 with it on.
Its pretty much the same with every ping software i tried except for exitlag. If u have above 30 ping or u want to play on other servers then getting one of these is useful, otherwise its not worth it

Gear up isn’t supposed to make you get 0 ping, but if you get a higher ping then like 30 then it lowers your ping using routing and stuff but I can see why people who already get 25 ping say it doesn’t do anything, it’s not for you and it’s for people who get really high ping

i have exitlag both of these work to an extent but it only changes if you have bad internet like i have spacex starlink💀 which is ass and i used to have like consistent 5 packet loss with spikes up to 30-40 packet loss and exitlag made the spikes better by a lot it def made my ping more stable but the debate between which is better depends on where you live
when will people understand that only thing u can do about ping is moving closer to the server.. there is no stupid optimization or better router etc.

I have used a similar program before, exitlag and noping, with exit lag the first time, it did lower but was very little, so was not that worth it, noping was also like gear up, didnt make difference at all and sometimes worse
it’s basically useless. you CAN go to around 0 ping in creative if you’re on 20-30 in br but you should do the method yourself instead of spending $10 / m or whatever it is.
hi, im using gearup rn i live in the philippines and i used to be from 90 ping on asia now im 40-50 ping on fortnite after using gearup, i also tried other stuff like roblox where i used to get 110 ping in japan now i get 70 ping, i think it could just be something else with you because mine works
im pretty sure this only affects your connection to the servers but it doesnt boost your wifi speed
Gear Up DOES work, I don’t think they’re lying but I feel like they aren’t properly saying how it works, the only person to properly advertise it has been tickle. It’s mainly good if you have extremely bad routing, or you want to play on a different region. I tried it and went from 90 ping on central to getting 30 consistently.
I actually used to use gear up. They removed the NAW servers and Im in NAW, so I used Gear Up for lower ping. Not using it I averaged 100 ping per game, with it I went down to 20-30 ping

Well, for anyone curious on how this probably works:
It's basically a glorified VPN/(changes some routing table stuff), but without any normal VPN benefits and some "optimisations"(who knows what they do else?).
This means it can totally work for you if your ISP has bad routing(= your ISP chooses an inefficient way to the game server).
=does it work? Yesn't. It depends.
Is it worth it if your ISP has shit routing?
No, because you can just buy an actual VPN+ get the benefits of a VPN that respects your privacy and is trusted AND might EVEN BE CHEAPER. (to be clear on why= With a VPN, you might get better routing because the traffic may be routed in a different way after reaching the VPN server which is closer to you)

they are advertising it as a shortcut to the game servers, which is not how the internet works at all. all traffic goes through your internet provider, u cant cut them out because they give your IP address to actually connect to the server. this product acts like a VPN without the Private Network part of it and just adds latency. Sure is believable though to the average person, good video big dawg.

i live in dubai (me server) and i get 3-20 ping depending on the day
byt on games like roblox i get 100+ ping because theres no middle east server

Works for me I get 15-0 ping in br and 0 in most maps except zone wars with gear up. It just depends where your from.
Ping boosters are pretty much trying to reduce hops outside your network to reduce ping

For better ping in fortnite Epic has some recommendations on their website , which helps to have a more stable and lower a bit your ping , but other than that that’s it
it worked for me. I live in philippines where if u don't have any ping reduction you get 60-100 depends on the time of the day but when i used it and connected to japan (where the server is for fornite now becaue they removed sea servers rip) i get 20-30 in creative and 40-60 in pubs consistently compared to without it, so i can say it works.

your setup and the tweaks you do aren't the issues if you have 360hz and a 13900k (naming your gpu also is important but I would assume its newer than 3000 series nvidia /6000 series amd series due to the 13900k)

I was getting 160 ping and I went down to 60, but I noticed that it was useless because I just connected to my friend's servers and now I have 0 pign LMFAO
in my case it actually lowered by ping from 50 to like 30-36 but I didn’t feel like I had lowered ping it felt the same

It works for me, it lowered my ping in creative and in-game! Also, I think you're supposed to put it on your actual region and not Central unless you play Central. The feeling of it also feels better so maybe it's not to show a difference, maybe it's the feeling of it, that's what I felt and I heard from deyy and said the same thing and he was not sponsored!

i use gearup, it doesnt lower ping for players that already have 30ish ping, i have very high ping 90 in creative and very high packet loss, but with gear up it lowers to 50-60 and very low packet loss, so it's made for players like me

Im from south america (Colombia) and the free trial worked for me, lowered my ping from 100 to 50 in na east servers, but it didn't work in central servers
i saw this i tried it with my friend and i usually have like 10-12 ping and when i tried it with the gearup i had 24 in game and creative so i do not recommend it
