I've spent so many hours in Satisfactory making sure all my production lines were so cleanly in-line with each other, all my vehicles were running orderly and everything was not only efficient but also aesthetically appealing that I never even stopped to consider the possibility of a Satisfactory speedrun. Definitely gonna go check out some of the other package deliveries now too so thanks a lot Epiphane, Link and Xenadir for showing off the run, was cool to see another side to satisfactory.
I don't get why they would pick "send first package with the space elevator" as the end point, as that's basically where the game is only just starting properly. >.>
There are categories for each space elevator package, Staff and runner may have chosen this category as a good showcase of mechanical skill and gameplay without a large timeblock since Epiphane's 2Package PB is almost an hour and his 3package PB is about 8 hours. :) I do agree though, after the first package is where the game really opens up in complexity and exploration and becomes what we all know it to be
This run was simply awesome. In this amount of time I would have MAYBE just now figured out where I wanted to start my factory lol. Excellent runner and couch.
Some of the best commentary I've seen in a GDQ run. I almost thought the dono announcer was on the couch at one point because I got mixed up lol. Charisma and banter absolutely unmatched lol
Shout out to my friends Kevin and Matt who carried me on this game while I drove around aimlessly in a golf cart, built sushi bars for lizard doggo, or random obstacle courses.
I'm lazy with my factories so I usually just just build one thing and have it's production output split rather then building multiple things like how the game wants me to. Example: 1 Iron ore Miner will have two outputs: 1 for Iron Ingots, and 1 for Steel Ingots. Yes It makes everything a bit slow but it minimizes the amount of buildings I have to make.
Glad to see Satisfactory here this year, as I enjoy this beer. Was actually thinking about how cool it'd be to see right before I saw the VOD come up XD Also first. Also gogo! to that lizard doggo there XD
First I guess This is one of my favorite video games ever, but I have no idea how you would Speedrun it at any significant speed, so this should be interesting

I loved the trios commentary on this one, as a FICSIT employee myself I only wish one day to be as efficient and hard-working.

I see they run the release before they patched the workbench smelting,back when you could just hold enter,new releases you have to hold mouse click.
