Hey! I'm the bladesmith who made the blank in the video. Jeff is still kicking, and he provides great guidance, but I'm doing production for him now. Super cool to see this build. I hope the knife serves you well.
@@jacobstout4552 Thank you for the blade and the update. I apologize, didn't know. I'll take his name off the title and make sure to let people know on the next build. I love those knives and I'm happy to hear you'll continue on with what Jeff White started. Great blade. Happy New Year. Drew
@MountaincraftOutdoors no worries! Leave his name on. It's still his design and his brand. I'm happy to working with him to keep bringing people knives they love.
Great project Drew! Nothing like a Jeff White blank and making a kick ass Frontier Mountain Man knife! Really cool how the handle came out with Grits’ suggestion 👍🏻. Nice oak handle. The blade looks to be about 4-5” long. Nice ridges for thumb placement too. Oh yeah that bear grease & bees wax would be nice on that handle. Damn right that would be a worthy knife for any frontier person!! Yes! A scalper!! 👍🏻❤️ Sure did enjoy your project Drew! Sheath next? A frontier/Indian style sheath? Hope you & Grits had a great New Years Day! Take care & see ya on the next one! 👍🏻💪🏻🇺🇸☘️
I’m pretty much seeing you don’t need to buy blades from any other makers(except HFS) Great job brother. Look forward to seeing it in person ~ I’ll bring the cigars & duck jerky👊🏻
@@BRoweofKY Hahaha, nice. Appreciate you Brian. That pack from the other video is the Tarahumara from Hill people gear. I just picked up an umlindi from them.
That was very cool! I also sell knives on Etsy. Love seeing it done without the use of tens of thousands of dollars in equipment like you normally see nowadays. Knife looks really good 👍🏼
I like it. Have you ever thought of using tobacco to give it a darker look? I dip snuff and for certain I know a can of Copenhagen or Skoal will definitely stain just about anything. lol
Awesome work Drew! David Neal here. Happy New Year to you. Knife Came up real nice. I have started to make some videos and posted them so would love it if you checked them out. Cheers Dave 🇺🇸 🇳🇿

@@frankdibiase3372 Thank you Frank, you still like that Jeff white knife you got off me? It's been awhile but you did didn't you?
@@MountaincraftOutdoors I love it! It’s the sharpest knife I own and it’s a real chopper!
Cool to see Mr. White is still offering knives. I have a few from about 10 year’s ago. The Camp King HD is still a favorite of mine.
@@dlrmon1 I always wanted one of those, looked like a pretty awesome blade.

You could engrave initials in the butt of the handle.
