This is a cooperative board game that is known for its immersive gameplay and also how challenging it is to win. This game comes with many scenarios that all revolve around an island. This game includes an interesting worker placement mechanism as well as some push your luck, resource management and some very difficult decision making that might come back to haunt the players. There's the new "treasure chest" expansion available in a very fair price, which is actually a box that includes the new version wooden tokens, all the extra scenarios, characters etc. You can look it up at portal game website (shop.portalgames.pl/collection/strona-glowna/robinson-crusoe-treasure-chest). There's also a lovely resin tokens kit.
Very helpful video, thanks for that.... but i think that the second time you reach the Morale phase you shouldn't take 2 determination points AND 1 heart, I checked the rulebook and i find that you can choose one OR the other, not both.
(i am not 100% sure about that, because this game is HUGE, i might skipped something)

For solo you get both I think
21:15 you are missing the two discovery tokens from the tile that Friday discovered
I think you played it wrong, on morale phase it says that player chooses to either get 2 determination tokens or heal 1 wound
This is the game in which playing safe doesn't pay off. You have to risk it, if you're unlucky you loose early, but if you play it self 9/10 cases you'll loose anyway. You'll run out of time.

Yes. You place them on the terrain symbol over the "equipment" card to indicate they are available. It isnt till you build it that it becomes available to you as an item. Thanks for watching!

I owe this game and I hate it; it's just a lazy product, where everything depends on rolling your dices. Sure, first scenario is doable but the second one limits your chances especially in solo mode. What I really dislike about it is just how long does it take to set this thing up. Too many icons, tokens, it's sooo easy to make a mistake and forget about something. Mechanics does not really exist here, it's made with low effort by someone who has no idea about boardgames but sure know a lot about computer games. And that's what bothers me the most, player here is kind of a game engine, who needs to add graphics to the game, who needs to pay attention to so many details in order to make it work. Playing game is an addition to all that. It was my very first boardgame I bought and playing with my girlfriend I enjoyed it. Now I know a bit more about boardgames in general and I see how bad Robinson Crusoe is. People say it's hard but I disagree. It's difficult because it's very tight, lazy, random game in which nothing depends on your skills. And one more thing - even winning does not go with true satisfaction. It just happened, because you rolled your dices well and you were lucky when you picked your event cards. That's all. There's no real strategy here.
I am sorry you had such bad experiences playing this game. Its definitely very luck based but I guess its all about how you look at it. I look at this game as just a straight up Ameritrash and it works for me that way. But at the end of the day, no game is for everyone. Thanks for watching!
