As a child my family went through a really difficult time when a group of neighbors basically targeted our family. One neighbor refused to be a part of it and remained friendly towards us. I remember she came over with this bread but referred to it as friendship bread and told us she knew what it felt like to be an outsider. I'll never forget that small act of kindness and what it meant for us. Love your videos.
When your boys are grown and gone you can have a perfectly clean kitchen and lots of happy memories from these messy days.
I'm not Jewish, but I found a Jewish cookbook at the library today. I just wanted to see what kind of recipes were in it. I also found Keto cookbooks, two Amish and a Mexican cookbook.

I ADORE challah bread. 3-5 years old is the most magical age for a trip to Disneyland.
I use to do three strand but I found instructions for six. I find when you do it with six it looks more like the ones you get from the store. Enjoy your vacation, have fun & be safe.

I've tried many challah recipes and yours is the one I keep coming back to! My Mom grew up eating her Bubbe's challah and says yours is the closest!

I love hearing Zach's little noises in the background of these lately. He's getting more verbal. Thank God you live in the D.C. area which is overcrowded with vehicles. Otherwise, you might lose Max to L.A. which is incredibly overburdened with the vehicles he so loves. Have a safe journey. You look quite organized for the trip. After the 4th trimester or first 3 months prior to the 4-month developmental leap and sleep regression they are no longer infants. Just babies. How old is he now? Challah is like Yorkshire pudding and so many other bread-like recipes in that all sorts of things influence how it turns out. Then there's the recipe and baking method of the baker that make it their own. It makes it funny when some think there is a classic recipe for anything - since when? Never, anywhere on earth. LOL. Wraps and carriers to wear babies are such lifesavers for them and us. Corey as Spiderman? So cute. The extra egg may have helped offset the baking at the higher heat. I figured it would taste just fine. Enjoy your trip.

Shabbat Shalom! (I'm not Jewish so I hope I didn't break any rule there) Don't you dare pick up that camera at while your visiting with your family! Be present with them and enjoy your special time! I bet the boys will love Disney! Maybe a traveling with little ones video you know like tips and tricks, things that work, things that don't work, things you'd do differently would be a fun idea when you back home and settled in. I know it's likely that most of your subscribers are Jewish, however. I really enjoy the learning aspect so I'm wondering if you might be willing to sometimes take a minute to explain what certain words mean or what an item would be used for. An example is tzedaka. I ended up googling it but I don't think it's possible to get the real meaning or purpose from a Google definition. So I'm not just being a total whiner I really do enjoy your videos. I'm from utah and it wasn't until I went to college that I met a Jewish person. I was in my 30's so think about how narrow my world view was!

You could use a fat head dough recipe and try to roll it out in 3 pieces and braid it.
