    Happy to see someone review it who actually used the important features I.e. the compressor and jumper cables. I think I am going to pick one up later today. Great video.

    Just a heads up, after 3 my little flip down power connector broke. Somewhat easy fix. You can take out all the screws, disconnect the battery, and just take a regular power cord, cut it, solder the wires to the existing wires inside. There's a black and white white.
    I used a home TV style cord, cut it, tied a knot so it stays in, used heat shrink on both connections with heat. shrink over the both connections. I also burned a tiny hole in the ABS frame over the air hose box, and put a zip tie to keep the little black / white power wire to keep all of it from wiggling about.

    Thank you for your video with good information. I just bought a refurbished Schumacher SJ1427 model and used the tire inflator hose to fill air in my spare tire of my passenger car, which already had 37 PSI (it needs to be filled up to 60 PSI). While connecting the hose to the tire nipple, instead of filling air, it let out existing air from the tire and reduced the pressure to 31 PSI. The unit was fully charged for several hours until the green charging indicator LED turned off. Do you know what am I doing wrong or why it is letting out the air?

    You can also charge this with a 2.5W solar panel. It’s extremely reliable n I’ve had our for almost 3yrs, we have this unit just sitting in the games room which we charge every other month n its never let us down. What a lot of people do not understand is this is not a constant power source, its a temporary power source.

      In another TH-cam video on a different Schumacher model the author pointed out that while charging the unit, even if the green LED light is lit and the display shows 100%, keep charging until the Green LED light turns off. I did that and after several hours (overnight charging) the green light turned off.

    The down side is the inverter. I think the 200 watts it proclaims are surge watts. I like 12 volt side no issues with that. I plugged a 220 watt inverter into the 12V side and it works great! For the money I would buy it again! I paid 139.00 at Lowes 2 weeks ago.

    What is the max tools you could run from the AC outlets? I have this unit and can't imagine it would run anything significant.

    • @WrenchedOutGarage
      @WrenchedOutGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brad I’m not sure, there are two outlets on the front and the internal 120v converter. I wouldn’t think that it’s capable of running anything to heavy.

    So I guess to charge it. What I need a orange extension cord?

    • @sweetmemories4448
      @sweetmemories4448 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a Power Station (different brand), which had a builtin regular cord that looked like an extension cord of a table lamp for recharging the unit. If you use an orange extension cord to connect the unit to wall outlet (110V AC outlet) for charging the Schumacher, that will be actually great.

    Informative video but does it have enough power in the 110’s for a shop vac.?

    • @operationhotshotinc.6887
      @operationhotshotinc.6887 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will probably not work for an shop vac because it requires higher Amperage to get the motor going… it will power like a 110 light, maybe a small fan, small tv, air bed, things that are 110volts but low amperage.
      Anything with a motor with high demand will not start with this. Easily charge for laptops, other smaller batteries 🔋 pump tires, etc.
      And of course good for jump starting your car which is its main purpose…

    Do you think I could run my pellet smoker off of this while camping? this is what the smokers uses.. "For the first 3 minutes of use it draws about 280 watts. Once the igniter shuts off it uses about 25 watts for the induction fan that runs continuously and another 30 watts for the auger motor that runs intermittently.
