I replaced mine a year ago on my 2015 Dynamic. I put it on the lift, dropped the exhaust and driveshaft and accessed it from the rear. I still pulled out the passenger side wheel well liner to get to some things but for the most part it wasn't that bad. Like you said the one bolt on the down pipe was the only difficult thing. Unfortunately I now have a oil leak coming from the area where the CHRA is clamped to the exhaust manifold. From what I read that usually means 1) PVC issue or 2) blocked oil return line. I have no reason to believe I have either issue so I guess I will get a new Melett cartridge and replace it. I think I will do it from the right wheel well like you did and split the turbo so I can leave the manifold in place and just pull out the cartridge and compressor housing. Should be much easier since I don't have to deal with that one bolt.
Morning could tell me where i could find thermostat this part fitted? in the car engine bay? left, right, middle? between fan and engine? or right between gearbox and engine? or left side where is alternator belt. or from downside ? have a nice day
hello. I have 2016 and having hard time finding one for it. ebay got the ones that are all wrong. where did you get yours unless you paid over $1500 for it i don't have any luck for less. or if someone can fix the turbo fans jammed. thanks either way.

James I have a Land Rover Discovery which also needs a new turbo, they look similar in some aspects do you know if the discovery turbo can be done in the fairly same fashion?? Thanx
I'm not sure about other models- I do know that one particular model the entire body has to be lifted off of the frame for a turbo replacement. This was the first and hopefully the last rover I ever had to work on lol
