I watched all the original episodes more than once, yup bonus to being older 😎👍 I will be doing booktrek and looking forward to some new reads. Have also watched Next generation twice and Voyager once. I have a magazine to read this month and 2 novels over the summer. My favourite series- the original Star Trek 💕 So many great characters and you never forget your first.
My "first" was TNG and it's my favorite of the bunch. Very happy to have you take part in the event, and I'm looking forward to your review of Probe (Bonanno). That ST:TOS novel sounds great! :)
I'm a fan of the Original Star Trek series and the early Star Trek movies. Right now, I'm reading The Entropy Effect by Vonda N. McIntyre, which was the first original story in the Star Trek series not based on the TV episodes. She also wrote the novelization for a bunch of the movies, including Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Great stuff. I love your Star Trek uniform, Fred. 😊
Thanks Pat! I too enjoyed the early Star Trek movies, but when I say early I mean the TOS movies - I wasn't a fan of the TNG movies. Looking forward to this event and seeing everyone's videos :)
@@ReadbyFred Right, TOS. I don't think I ever saw any of the TNG movies. I really only ever followed the originals....This is going to be a fun event, for sure!
I love your Star Trek passion, Fred! That’s great that you’re enjoying your Star Trek books so far. Right now I’m re-watching the Original Series for fun, and enjoying the cheesiness of it. I love the old sets and simplicity. They are very “of their time”, though, I must say 😆. Growing up, my favorite series was The Next Generation. I’m still hoping to read a Star Trek book but I’m not sure which one yet:) 🖖
Thanks Farrah. I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying the original series. I'm hoping you can join in on the fun too; I was surprised how good some of the novels are. :)
Nice video Fred! I won't be particpating in BookTrek but I think it's a cool reading event. I think it's great they did a Star Trek remake with all the early 90s cast. Peace to you my friend.
I am doing BookTrek. The Original Series was the only one on when I was growing up. Next Generation started when I was an adult. Voyager is my favorite series. It makes me happy that you also like it. It doesn't seem to get a lot of love.
Hooray! Great to have you join Stuart! I wasn't big on the Kazon storyline and was happy to see Voyager leave Kazon space. My favorite episodes were Dragon's Teeth and Prey :)
Read my first Star Trek book last week. Star Trek 1 by James Blish. Short stories of the first series. Also started rewatching the original series on Netflix 😊. I will not watch the cartoon 😂 but I loved all the series with real people 😊
My favourite series up till now has been Star Trek: TOS, but I'm now expanding my love for a lot of the other series during this year's BookTrek2024. Here is my TBR for the three months. Not sure how far I'll get through it...since it is 75 books long (if not more...since I keep adding books to my TBR). I'll add it in a comment.

75 books?! Wow! This is awesome, so glad to have you joining in on the event :) From your list below I have Avatar on my eReader and will probably read both books 1 and 2 this summer as well. Let me know what you think of the DS9 novels - I found the ones I read (The Siege and The Tempest) really represented the characters from the show.
@@ReadbyFred - I enjoyed Avatar, Book Two, better than Book One...but honestly, it is just one book divided into two books (unfortunately). I am really enjoying the DS9 novels, for they represent the characters SO well. I believe that THAT is because of how the DS9 TV show focused so much on character development, and put them through the "ringer"...so we KNOW them better than most of the other series. These are ALL Post-Nemesis, so this is moving forward (all after the TV series), so they are not together like we knew them, but as we see them in different situations, it IS them. The main one that I've enjoyed getting to know better is Ezri Dax, since we just were introduced to her, when the show ended (sadly). Having a lot of fun. I eventually was able to read 22 Star Trek novels in June. Not sure if that will be an high, middle or low number for each month...since I am such a Mood Reader. For perspective, I usually read about 28 books a month, but in June I read 44. So, we are in uncharted waters...at the moment. Really glad to be doing this with others. The Summer of the Wrath of Book Trek (whatever...the name is TOO much, but we'll go with it). Talk to you, later.
Ok, I may do this if I have 3 months. But I have not picked an sort of book to do it. I think I always liked the Original Series best but my goodness TNG had some great seasons. Parts of Voyager I liked. DS9 was ok. I have not watched any of the newest show.
