- Mark O'Connor is a flexible master of the violin, or fiddle - depending on the music, earning awards playing classical, jazz, and bluegrass. It's this last style that dominates on his latest album, Coming Home, which finds Mark joined by his musical family: wife Maggie on violin and singing, son Forrest on mandolin and singing, and Forrest's wife Kate Lee also playing violin and singing.
It was a down-home departure from the usual KNKX jazz session, and our studio audience embraced this country-fied swing - the family's unique blend of bluegrass, progressive jazz, indie-folk and good ol' Americana is impossible to resist.

It is such a classic, beloved by so many musicians, that it's almost certainly available somewhere, in tablature form if not on regular sheet music.

This is of course stellar musicianship but it has to be said that Mark O'Connor is one of the most unendurably self-important pricks of all time. Pretty good chance he is on the spectrum. Google is your friend.
the second break, taken by the guitar , is a million notes, but you have no idea what the hell tune he is playing . none of those million notes is a part of the melody of jerusalem ridge. as monroe , who wrote the tune, would say - that break aint no part of nothin. awful
It's normal and acceptable to play a break like that if you feel like it.
I hope that after I'm dead no one will claim to know what I would say.
I could definitely hear the song in his break. Just because you're not capable of comprehending higher music expression doesn't mean it's somehow bad. That guitar player was fantastic. When you open your mouth to criticize it you reveal your ignorance.
