Totally awesome.. You're my mentor and for a year now I've been doing Revit through your help. Stay blessed and I hope to learn more. There is no learning of Revit without Balkan. He's fundamentally sound and humble in his teachings
@salman yusuf well all I'm trying to say is you'd have to take his lessons to successfully get Revit basics learnt. Sorry about my euphoric statement. But seriously mate, Balkan is good and he gives enough solutions to Revit. He's really localised Revit that even a dull fellow will understand
The way I do down pipes is using a wall based plumbing family using a sweep. Then set instance based overhang and height dimensions with it. It works great and is much faster than doing it this way. The other benefit is if the wall moves the down pipe will move with it instead of having to move each one manually or worse forgetting to move one.
I just did this and that's perfect. Thanks a lot! For anyone else... make the downspout profile family first, load it into the new downspout family, throw some Ref Planes (in side elev) in there and lock the sweep ends to each RP
Im going to try this because turns out i have no families whatsoever and i cant find a decent elbow anywhere online. BIM libraries online are dreadful if you want the most basic things smh, seems like the space is dominated by companies and products pushing their stock, rather than by architectural components
Thanks for the Revit tutorial. Fun fact: for at least seven years there has been a gutter object in ArchiCAD. Just there. In the library. Waiting to be used. Already parametric and everything. Crazy.😉
HI BALKAN THIS IS FREDY REYES I JUST HAVE A QUESTION HOW CAN I DO TO INSTAL A DOWNSPOT IPE BUT IT TURN IN A CORNER 90 DEGRES WALL FROM A SECOND FLOOR TO GROUND?
This is great, I was able to follow most of it, except I need gutters on all four sides for my roof. I am lost at 9:43. I have Both Imperial Library and Metric, but when I open it, I only have Route Analysis, Structural Precast and "Are you looking for content...?" Not sure where to find the extensive list you are referencing. Thanks!
hey man, thanks for the video so far..you have been doing an amazing work..but can I get a link to download the pipes..I don't see them in my family or library
@Balkan Architect . How do I place it on other gutters all around the building? Your clipboard method only works for caps on the same gutter run (I assume due to drawing on that plain?). So do I have to draw a new cap on every end of gutter
Thanks for the tutorial . I learn a lot from you . I have a question is circular blow up of a 3d view possible in revit ? Can you make a tutorial about it if possible ?
Nice vid man! But can u show me how it looks like when switch to floor plan view coz i need it for my Building Utility plate. Btw I'm only 2nd year in college haha
Zdravo. Hvala
@Balkan Architect 11:59 I so wished you had shown us where to change the material because I have been looking for ages and can not for the life of me find it :(
Why not just use the architect>roof>downpipe option instead of systems>piping for downpipes ? seem a lot easier without that wierd displacement on the gutter plane thing which will prob show up as a problem somewhere else !
I was also stuck on this. I found that if you click on your gutter cap and 'edit in place' (top bar) and selecting the cap again, you then will see under the Properties Tab to your left- materials and finishes needs to be toggled to 'by category'. You can then exit model in place and reselect the cap and then again on the Properties (to your left) you 'edit type' and go to the ( ... ) in the materials bar and match that to whatever your gutters are mine are PVC Piping :)
looked at your template and the only reason i could not buy is because i need US imperial. let us know when you have the US Imperial set up for my purchase please.
The 30 USD membership says 1 on 1 tutoring. But is it once a month or once a week or once a day? Also, does 15 USD membership give access to all of your courses?
Balkan Architect hey! I saw this video but my question about the 30$ membership on patreon is still not clear. It says 1 on 1 training but what is the frequency of that? Thanks😃
Thanks for the videos you do. They are helpful but I just wished you explained why you do what you do when going through the steps. You do a lot of clicks but you don't explain I find.
Just don't understand this option in Revit. In the real world you want to specify actual gutter parts and could in theory have the software work out exactly what you need but here you are making work arounds to make an end cap rather than the software inserting a proper end cap component and generating a schedule of the required components!
Totally awesome..

fenomenal
Another great video. You're the best!
Best tutorials, thanks so much!
thank you sir!
Why don't you use a pipe connector to connect the pipe to the gutter ?
NO PUDE HACERLO, NO SE POR QUE NO ME SALIO LA OPCION DE ESCOGER LA CANALETA 150X150 mm
How do I find a generic elbow? My families dont even have a pipes folder??
Gutter DS Video very nice working 😊
Thanks
Excellent
WHERE DO I FIND THE CAP WE JUST MADE SO I CAN PLACE IN OTHER GUTTERS
Man, you've grown a beard a lot! Last time I watched a tutorial from you, you're clearly shaved.
THANK YOU!!!!

how do you make hole in the gutter with pipe
?
I cannot find the "model in place" option in Revit 2023.
Very good Mr Balkan Architect. Is there a way of editing the elbow joints on the gutter so that they are a smooth finish rather than being ridged?
Nice vid man! But can u show me how it looks like when switch to floor plan view coz i need it for my Building Utility plate. Btw I'm only 2nd year in college haha
what if i wanted the downpipe to be a rectangle ?

Is Revit 2020 still cannot make detail model of roof tiles?
Please my pipe is only showing line...no 3d

Where do you see that? I don't see a "downpipe" option anywhere
Hi. Is it possible match gutter material with downpipe material? Cheers

Hi, the Imperial version is going to be out in less then a week 😉
What about the beard ?

you can get all his courses for 24 USD a month
Alberto Elizondo where? The Patreon website says 15USD
th-cam.com/video/4cu8RcZcMHY/w-d-xo.html
This will explain everything 🙂

talk more slowly. You're flying through everything I can barely keep up.
