Small tip: use hide/override by category, not by element. It's easier to manage views, especially when your project is quite big. And also you could use different filters and view templates to gain even more control.
Thank you very much for this information!! I have been using Revit for 3-4 years for my academics, and I always wished to be able to create exploded views in Revit, but coudlt understand how to. I always refer to your videos and particularly this information has been really very useful! It added a great impact and higher clarity to my design explanations!
Its funny cuz i always see your videos for help me in my work, in these case i already did what you are showing now, its like "damn im doing a great Job, he is doing something that im used to do a long time ago :P" continue with your videos helps me a lot in my Job. Great Job
I generally do the same workflow but overriding color of the floor. I like how the colored floor looks with white furniture on top. never considered doing it with ceiling. interesting thank you.
Decent work but it looks like "work around" solution, not system. You can do it much better using DISPLACE tool (from MODIFY tab / VIEW panel) in my opinion. You can displace selected elements, in one view (it doesn't affect other views), you have full control of the displace distance and you can displace elements in different directions (X/Y/Z), view can be axonometry or perspective, etc. Colouring of elements is easy - override graphics by category or by some parameter (i.e. by level etc). Less work, more control, less views to create. Easier IMO. Regards.
Hair, Sir, while i am adding Floor Boxes in First Floor Floor, & i make section on it to drop from table to Floor Level, but it is not showing in the Plan View Why??? please explain to me..
@@balkanarchitect ah ok makes sense in that case, we advise against using Walls over multiple levels :) (easier for quantity takeoff if everything is modeled seperated by level)
great - for years I have been wanting to have offset plans 2D iso , BUT then join all stairwells and elevators and lifts , to enable visualisation of people / goods flow in commercial and industrial buildings - Is this possible ? and if so where could I find tutorial /. documentation of how to do this ?
Yeah so go into the blue file (top left) and in the options button right menu, go to graphics, and you’ll be able to change the color of many different things such as the background, selection, pre-selection, etc.

@@nadeem006 by category or you can think about use some dedicated parameter. It's much better - more systematic, nor some "work around".

Как сделать подрезку 3д вида так чтобы архитектурная модель подрезалась, а инженерная нет?

Why not use the built-in displace elements tool? Seems a lot easier?
It's possible, but if you have a wall going from level 1 to level 5, you can't separate it into multiple elements.

How can i see a property line fom DWG in Revit in my sections.
As a vertical line
Make them 3D pipes / or as railing ?
Use a model line or detail line. Keyboard shortcut ML or DL. Should be able to place in section view
