  • My favorite moments are when something clicks for an infielder, and you that light bulb go on. This tip is a BIG one that I've seen create instant change in many kid's fielding.
Last fall, I was working with an infielder who was extremely athletic, but looked choppy and was fumbling balls.
Ever worse, he was missing a lot of ground balls he shouldn't have missed.
    But here's the good news...
After we changed this ONE THING, he went from fumbling balls...
...to attracting attention for all the RIGHT reasons.
The change was immediate, and it was obvious to everyone who was watching.
All we did was change his fielding sequence, and I'm going to tell you exactly what that means in this video.
PLUS I'm also going to give you a fielding drill that you can do at home (well, it's more like 3 infield drills, arranged in a sequence that grows in intensity).
I hep you enjoy this video!
    Stay safe and healthy,
    Doug

Nice, he is a good dude. I played with him when I was over with the Yankees.

We worked out today with a group of five, good young ballplayers and what Doug described, is exactly what we saw, late gloves. This drill I feel, will be huge in eliminating this problem which seems to be typical with most infielders.

This is exactly the way I have been teaching this for 20 years. Don't flip the glove, Rest, ready. First two steps same as last two steps. Soft hands, quiet glove. Imagine a piece of pizza on your glove hand. The pizza should slide slowly off your hand.

I love that analogy. "The pizza should slide slowly off your hand". Very good stuff
