If you like this one, check out the even longer Nurburgring Nordschleife video, if you haven't already! th-cam.com/video/t0I95RSQdwc/w-d-xo.html
Le Mans Ultimate night footage gave me goosebumps. It reminded me of how I used to drive at night during road trips with my friends.
Wow, Le Mans Ultimate paid a lot of attention to detail. This comparison was a great overview! Must have cost a lot of time.
I think my Nordschleife one took a bit longer. More to come in the future!
LMU is a fantastic sim, even with its issues i manage to feel convinced it’s the real thing every now and again, which is what im aiming for in the hobby
Great Video.
But things to consider in future videos, elevation changes and road surfaces, kerbs, sausages etc.
Not to mention the very important VR support. Car tuning ability. On and offline play. Career mode. Variety of cars and tracks, although this may not apply here since it's based on a single track. But why not add variations of the track? AMS2 for instance features a short version of the track and you can even "sunday drive" the area surrounding the track, a la GTA5 style. Not that useful but fun to have variations of this amazing circuit. Also weather effects, another major requirements for modern games. So yeah, this is a nice quick comparison but far from complete.
Brilliant review, thanks for putting the time in. Engine sound is very important, might be worth a mention ? Spa next obviously 😂
Spa isn't on the list currently, as like Monaco, it's in over 70 games (at least, maybe over 100!). I try to pick a similar car in each game, so Nurburgring uses a Corvette and this uses a prototype. But some games only have bikes, for instance 😂
@@VirtuaIceMan Fair enough, I have sporadically played race games since 2000, (always with a steering wheel and Pedals). F1 , Grand Turismo , Assetto Corsa , etc with and against various friends. The 4 “favourite” circuits have always seemed to be LeMans, Spa, Suzuka and The (old) Nurburgring. Fast and flowing seems to be the common denominator. I’m sure you would get a different list in the USA ! 😉
Great video!
A real shame that this was limited to just pc games, always thought that LeMans looked great in Gran Turismo 4. Especially after i got a HDMI adapter for my ps2
Very enjoyable video thanks
The Dreamcast Version of LeMans 24h actually is technically different than the PS2 and PC version and should have taken its' own spot on the list. I remember it fondly in comparison.
Yeah, Melbourne House did good work with that game. Torus, who ported it to PS2 (and I assume PC, as the intro video actually says PS2 port by Torus) messed it up.
This is a PC games comparison though, hence no Dreamcast, PS2, arcade games, etc.
brilliant. played the Infogrames release to death
great video
S397 has greatest tracks in the industry imo, sadly their sims has other issues
I feel like it's worth nothing that in terms of the quality of the laser scan, I find iracing second to none - I was surprised how much "extra" i was able to feel in the road when I moved to iracing 5 months ago from AMS2 and AC/ACC. Little hills and cambers and the character in the road. Zandvoort is a great example of this
Amazing video, but I'm also now very interested in the "Mad Car for PC" gameplay lol
Looks positively bonkers
It's based on some mobile games and it's massively unfinished, with no players in lobby so you can only drive about alone, usually.
It was free on Epic Games store but seems to be a small price now instead.
I would recommend playing the mobile verison ir the f1 game which is way more popular
Conclusion: Race Driver Grid is...brown😂
I remember more games featuring this track, but you had a sample size for the video.
I don't believe there are on PC. Some Gran Turismo games have it, there were arcade games like WEC Le Mans and Sega Le Mans. And many games have the Bugatti motorbike track in.
@@VirtuaIceManthere's definitely lemans as downloads for gt legends...
@@cashybai I didn't include mods at this video would go on forever 😁
Assuming Assetto Corsa doesn't get a mention because it's not included as a track from the developer and requires a mod?
Yeah, otherwise I could include many, many, many more games 😂
It not a pc issue, motorsport really does just lack road textures overall
I am only running a 4790K with 8GB RAM, 2070 SUPER and the game's installed on a standard HDD not SSD 😂 I've seen videos where scenery pops in and out o HDD, but I managed to get it running okay for this video (alone!)
Nice infomercial for LMU
Shame I'm not being paid! But it is the newest and best looking version of the track. Not talking about gameplay or features here
Yo madcar gt
Only thing missing is Gran Turismo 7 and ACC
It's a PC comparison, as that's my platform of choice. I do have a PS2 with GT1-4 but don't really want to get into emulating the later GT games or buying a PS5 😂
ACC doesn't have Le Mans
I hate to say this but you need to re-do this but lose the "bumper cam" view. NO ONE drives from that view. Personally I would prefer the in-car view, regardless of what car it is. I'm also not a fan of "hover view" which is also very gamerboyish. Sorry to be negative as I see you put a ton of work into it and did a really nice job comparing them all. Having other cars on track would also be nice.
It's a comparison of the tracks alone, hence no cars in the shot. Some games have a higher front view but bumper cam is common in most games.
That's not to say I DON'T have some plans to compare certain cars or racing series across multiple games though...
Great French impression.
