AU fan here - I hated to lose Walker White and Hank Brown but don't blame them for leaving - The fact they didn't get to play this year with the way Thorne played I'm sure they felt that with Jackson Arnold being only a redshirt Sophomore and Duece Knight coming in with all his hype that they wouldn't be given a fair chance - Personally I don't know we improved our QB room - Knight is a great prospect but is still somewhat raw and Arnold obviously has a great upside but does have some question marks - Hank Brown will become a star at Iowa I believe and I wish Walker the best

Deuce Knight was brought in to be the QB of the future. WW seemed like a good kid but Deuce has a bigger upside. Don’t blame WW for leaving. He wasn’t going to see the field and was gonna be a backup his whole career. I’m sure he will do well at Baylor. Hope he does well.

Walker saw the writing on the wall and knew he would not be given the job he felt he deserved being the only Qb left..
I can’t speak for other AU fans, but I think WW is a quality person who will not only be a good player but will do what he can to get quality players in to play with him. I am sorry to see him go but I wish him nothing but the best. BTW AU opens against Baylor next year don’t they?
If I'm a recruit and a team keeps bringing in transfers to play ahead of me then I'm DECOMMITTING. You play your transfers and I'll go where I'm wanted.

When I saw Nate Bennett in person at McLane stadium come in for Robertson, he looked like the skinniest QB I’ve seen since Novosad. He looks small and weak, not ready for P4 or B12 football. I think he could be great by the time he’s a junior/senior with more time in the weight room and more experience with the offense.

The two scholarship quarterbacks other than Robertson are Nate Bennett and Edward Griffin, neither of whom had any other P4 offers other than Baylor. We would be really foolish not to take the former number five quarterback recruit in the 2024 class.
@joshj7012 looked good in the spring and practice though, plus he has a good mindset for the position. I'd rather have a 3+year starter who committed to you and won't dip at the first call from some other school

HF doesn't develop QBs, he values experience first and foremost. So, Knight better be able to hit the ground running.
