  • It's time to finish the front cliff wall on my On18 Bandit Canyon Railway layout, and that means figuring a clever way to hide the sound system speakers in plain sight! My solution is a run-down old adobe shack on one side and an abandoned mine tunnel on the other. Follow along for tips and techniques on modeling these classic Old West structures.
    Thanks for watching, amigos!

    Always inspirational. Your work encourages the rest of us to move beyond the Tabletop Central RR.

    Looks brilliant Dave. Such an inventive way of hiding the speakers.
    No one looking at it would realise where the sound is coming from, and the added bonus of excuse to add another structure. Clever man.

    Nice job, Dave. Looking forward to the next installment…. ‘The gunfight’…. I liked the added bonus of black cloth to hide what’s behind the fronts…….

      Dave,have you thought of adding a mountain ram with dynamite???…It could tell a story about the shack…. Just a thought???

    It’s always so satisfying to watch your scale buildings come together! I can’t wait to see you eventually tackle Ravenswood Manor… maybe for a lead up to Halloween like you did with Gruesome Gulch if we’re lucky 👀

    Been following your videos for quite a while and you do exquisite work. Not a critic just a suggestion- try a black dry erase marker for a truer black instead of sharpie. It gives a no blue tint. I am amazed at your skills and ability to get so much done in short time frame.

    That’s looking awesome, Dave! This is taking shape rather quickly. How much time did it take to build what we saw in this episode?

    Down here in the Netherlands in a shop, I saw the Panpastels, you like to use. I also noticed that their more expensive then other weathering powders. So my question is: what makes them special and your favorite? Nu

      @ThunderMesaStudio  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question! They are more color rich than chalks and the binder that they are mixed with helps them stay right where you put them without blowing away.
