So true, we also walked away from a deposit in Siem Reap as we found a place we fell in love with. We lived in HoiAn for a year and miss Vietnam so much, Covid has locked us out for over a year.

I recommend the same one i just moved into... An Thuong... its where most foreigners are. You can go to Son Tra if you want to be a bit away in a more quiet area...

Cool that you could cancel without a big penalty! In the US, a lot of leases say you have to pay off the rest of the rent if you leave before the period of the lease. Even here in Spain there can be penalties if you leave before 6 months. (Most leases are more than a year here.)

It's behind the Monarchy building... Yes. They play soccer a LOT here so you can come here with your group or find random people to play with. I pay $.90 for the day to play basketball. Shouldnt be too much for soccer
I feel the same way you feel about where you live. I cannot live in a place where you just see the other building next to you. It may cost me more but it's worth not feeling all closed in. That's something that Vietnamese do not prioritize. When I look at a lot of the listings to see what the market is like, I see pictures of washing machines or beds or dining table but not what the scenery is like out the windows.

You can kiss it goodbye and of course all the other clutter you have, unless you sell it cheaply. This is the truth!

Try hoping 3 top night clubs a nite, fine dining at best restaurant instead of mediocre food, go to fine spa. That’s just entertainment. Y’all don’t even know that there are resort in Danang that’s $5,000 a night too. Now if you really want to party n spend money, go Saigon. You live in your bubble n there’s way more out there y’all haven’t seen or tried

We chose 7 or 8 for ourselves but final choice was 8, for the rooftop pool and 2 large TVs. We guessed 8 or 10, so we were both wrong. What's the buildings name of apartment 8 please. Loosing $200 is nothing compared to living across the street from a “dog pound”. I’m sure you wouldn’t have chosen that apt had you known that. I can’t imagine trying to teach class while dogs are barking. In other words, the management company did you a favor. Congrats!
