There was a quiet girl in my class this year who, never ever raised her hand or spoke, half of the class didn’t know what her voice sounded like, then one day another student was being screamed at by this really bad teacher and during his lecture she said “If you continue to act like this you’ll end up working as a garbage man.”

Ice Wing me most of school life. my family says I have a killer death glare and whenever people were loud I would just look at them and would quietly stare most of the time they would shut up ..my sister attributes my death glare as the reason no one messed with me in school even tho I blatantly ignored people and refused to speak to people I didn’t like... in high school a few guys tried ask why I never talked to anyone I would shut it down by saying I don’t like people / don’t like anyone in class they were always flabbergasted and if they pushed for more I would say they treat their friends horribly why would I want to speak to them they usually left me alone after that since I had implied I thought they were a bad person ... I have gotten better at not glaring not if you say something stupid ie a bad / offensive joke the glare comes out I can feel it on my face

I was in Spanish class and I was talking with my friend and all of a sudden we hear screaming and shouting. We both look up and see the quiet kid stomping on somebody that had been making fun of her. Everybody just looked at her in shock as they were both sent to the office. I knew it would happen one day.

There was this quiet guy in our class back then. I remember there was once a group project we had and he was assigned to keep the class from goofing around. when i was in 6th grade, in my history class, we were learning about the Aztecs i think, and we were watching a slideshow thing. anyway, one of the pictures was a mask of some sort, and it looked strange, so the class douche, we'll call him ben, he goes "oh, ew thats so friggin ugly" then my friend goes "oh, so like you?" then without missing a beat i sit up and say "no, dont be an idiot. it looks better than him". still proud to this day

I’ve always been that quiet kid everyone forgets about in class. One time not long before class was over, I really needed to pee. I asked if I could go, and my teacher said “tie a knot in it, we’re almost done.” As soon as she said that, I quietly sang “you do the loopty loop and pull.” (It’s part of a song from a spongebob in case you aren’t aware.) I didn’t think anyone would hear it... I was wrong. I still have people that were there remind me about that. It was about eight years ago.

I was the 'quiet kid' in middle school. I was always drawing in class and never talked to anybody. Once this kid in my English class who constantly talks (literally constantly) was looking over my shoulder at the drawing I was working on and he grabbed a pen and scribbled on it. I was devastated considering I had been working on that drawing for the past 2 hours and was really enjoying how it was looking. I yelled at him until he cried and walked out of the room. The whole class was silent. I didn't even get in trouble.

I basically never talked in my psychology class and the teacher would almost never call on me. One day we're going over the hierarchy of needs and she starts talking about esteem. She says how its "pretty much how you rate yourself on a scale of 1-10" and I just quietly said "zero". Except it wasn't quiet and everyone in class heard and was laughing while looking around trying to figure out who talked. That was literally the only thing I ever said that semester.

On middle school my classroom was "The Quiet Kid classroom" there was 3 quiet kids, 1 quiet teacher and this teacher only talked by the whiteboard, because she was too shy and quiet, and one day the fast kid came late to class and the teacher started drawing a stickman screaming and wrote next to it "sit down and never come late again, or else something not funny will happen with you, everyone in class except the 3 quiet kids got scared and some ran to the bathroom scared.
I remember like you know how there is always the one silent kid on the baseball team that’s always really good though. So we made a group chat for our allstar team and out of the ordinary he said “if you can make a girl laugh and giggle you can make her ass clap and jiggle” we all started dying laughing. We were honestly all so surprised because we had never seen that side of him.

There was this very pretty, sweet mute girl two years above me who was so helpful and caring at all times, in my highschool that I couldn't help admire, it may be possible I could have been crushing on her slightly without realising it too. She was pretty enough to be in with the it girls of her class but due to her muteness and keeping herself to herselfness it was very unlikely it would ever happenan as they were always flaunting there looks and gossiping loudly after all they were the popular type and mostly stuck up too. Unless your aware of this girl being there from the start you probably wouldn't even notice other wise. The day she had started she was late and came in during an assembly of all the years together. The head teacher asked her to introduce herself but she just smiled shyly walked to the back of the hall and sat down in amongst the crowd, in the end the teacher introduced her instead by stating her name. (I'll just call her V) Well anyways over time I don't know what it was but I couldn't help watching V whenever I saw her around, my mates noticed an teased me slightly. Though back then I swore I wasn't crushing on her. I noticed many student's tried to befriend her an get her to speak but she would just smile shyly. As the years when on her class would often join our class, for the older years to help us younger years with certain projects. Both my class and obviously her own class, including teachers eventually became used to her silentness. At lunch, break and somtimes dureing our class, she was often teased by some the other student's mind mostly the popular type boys an girls. Though she simply brushed it off all the time and calmly smiling would walk away or completly ignore them like it was no big deal. One day in the middle of the cafeteria were I like many others just happened to be, she was being bullied by a group of idiots and to everybodys suprise she spoke. It started with one the boy's simply teasing her about being mute and then the popular girls found it funny to get involved. This clearly pissed her off.
Boy1: aww look it is, was born with a voice but don't know how to use it, girl.

After that she simply wlked out of the cafeteria without giving them a chance to reply, she when back to being silent again like it never happened.
I remember being with my mates not far away from the scene so had a good view tbh of the whole thing. I felt slightly awkward myself mind because she looked over at me a few times and smiled randomly, I'd smiled back but felt slightly shy myself, even more so as she locked eye's with me as she said "I am in fact aware of of things" before turning back to the girls she was arguing with. I felt as though she she was some what aware of me slightly crushing on her too. Though back then I wasn't even properly aware of my own feelings or that I possibly actually was. I just can't believe how everyone after that day in the cafeteria had stoped bulling her and left her alone or at least to her face anyways as there were a few sly comments behind her back going around still but it cleary hadn't gotten to her.

She’s basically me. I’ve had dozens of people try talking to me but I get awkward and they quickly get bored and leave. Honestly, I personally find myself prettier than the popular girls, it’s a shame I’m not an extravert. I’ve had multiple people of both genders confess to me this year but of course I’ve rejected them all. Really, I’m a very nice person, but I can have a bit of an attitude and am very sarcastic like every other quiet kid. And it’s not that I don’t have friends, I have at least 100 back in my home state, including 5 here, but I don’t really talk to the four I have at school that much. I just choose not to socialize because I don’t want to be disrespectful and I want to make sure i don’t fall behind on my work. Once you get me talking you can’t get me to shut up. If I had an outgoing personality, I could have a boyfriend already. I really would. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to say something that gets everyone quiet. I’ve had some moments but nothing like what you said. I just find it funny that us quiet kids tend to be more attractive than the others who brag about their looks.

I did that once. Didn't feel like telling the kids next to me I had an appointment with the careers advisor.
I was the quite kid after moving and starting a new school in grade 7 i didnt really talk to anyone even the teachers. Same in grade 8. But around the end of grade 9. We had a teacher who was having us talk about how we see life and our pov of stuff. A few people went before me then the teacher askes me.
Another student says "he won't answer" how do you know? "He hasnt tallked in the 2 years ive known him. The teacher says ok then and goes to walk past me i put my arm out to stop him and he looks at me after a few seconds. I say how do you know me if none of you tried talking to me. Everyone looks shocked then one replied ok so tell us about yourself. So i say you have known each other 9 years ive known you 2 i know each one of you better than anyone else in this room. And I bet none of you can tell me my middle name. A few people ask me questions about themselfs that most other people couldn't answer after about 15 minutes. I say if anyone can tell me my middle name before we graduate ill give you $20 in grade 12 i still didnt talk very much and still nobody knew my middle name. We had a new kid in the class she was a smart person not afraid to say whats on her mind but still quite 2 weeks before grad she comes upto me and says i hear other people are trying to find out your middle name for $20 has anyone got it yet? No she then tells me my middle name and im shocked. I ask her how she knew. She looks at me and smiles quite people always know more.
She was the only person to find out. And the only one who took the time to get to know me.

A couple of months ago we got a new kid in our unit. Super quiet kid so we dont really know him too well. We were out doing clean sweep last week (basically mowing grass and edging curbs before All American Week starts). The quiet kid found an ant hill in his edging path and just starts beating and stabbing it with his E-tool. I ask, "whatcha doing there guy?"
He looks up at me with a straight face and says,
"I am their god"
And then continues to destroy the ant hill. Now that's the kinda killer the infantry needs lol

I was the quiet kid during my teen years due other factors like natural shyness, family problems, insecurity etc but never wanted to kill anyone lol and now looking back i think that most of my colleagues thought i was a psycho. I needed therapy and never cared about it, thought it was ok to be like this, to never want to talk to anyone or at most only short sentences

When I was in 5th grade, I was known as the quiet kid. On the first or second day of school my class is being really loud, and after 10 minutes of sitting there silently I scream at the top of my lungs "WOULD YOU GUYS SHUT UP?!" And burst into a mental breakdown. I got bullied ever since that day and I'm so glad I'm at a better school with actual friends.

I am the “quiet kid” in class, but I think I somehow shocked everyone, we were reading a book (I can’t remember the name but it’s the one where the brother of the main character gets shot, and in an elevator he meets ghosts of his family),
So my teacher asked “what would you do if someone killed someone in your family?”
So I responded “I’d hunt that person down..and kill them!” (Which was in the rules of the book, but we didn’t come across that yet) so everyone just stared at me shocked (somehow-) and when we reached the rules and “when someone kills your family you get revenge.” Came up everyone laughed because of the fact I said it earlier, then said “Amanda read this book!” (Which granted I did, but everyone in my core did so yeah 😂)

i was the quiet kid and i told a choir kid who liked to practice in class to stfu just loud enough for half the class to hear. She tried to confront me, but i was almost completely stoned faced (i was blushing harder than a fire truck because she was a friend of a friend) and didnt get in trouble. Funniest part is i didnt remember until a friend from that class said somethin a few years ago then when i remembered and blushed from embarassment she said "yea, you were just a bit redder..... like that"

That kid who wanted to know the time, I feel that on a personal level. I have a phobia of things touching my arms/hands, which sucks because I used to wear tons of bracelets, rings, watches, hairties, etc. all the time but ever since I developed this phobia I had to stop doing that. I mainly use my phone as a watch, but when I can't access it I have no way of telling the time. If I asked someone what time it was and their response was "time to get a watch" I would be genuinely pissed off.
Bonus: the phobia makes me have to wear gloves if I am washing dishes, gardening, woodworking, etc. with no exceptions, so every time I do one of those activities I have to find the appropriate gloves from whichever cabinet they are hidden in, even for something as small as repotting a plant. It's not fun.
Being a quiet kid, anytime I snap people freak out like "Ooh she mad." The thing is, I am always mad around them. It is kinda cool though because you get people to stop easily

My current best friend is one of the quiet kids in class. I remember one kid sat in her seat during lunch, and she asked him to move. He refused, and she got a bit louder, telling him to move again. He refused again and said "make me."

I was the quiet kid in my high school. I only spoke with my two best friends but they were in a different classroom so none of my classmates had heard my voice 'til one day, all my generation went to the chapel (It was a Catholic school) and I got to sit next to my friends.
