If we were controlling exports to Japan shouldn't the US take some sort of hit to it's MPP? That might make it a little bit less of a no-brainer.

US exports to Japan may have been inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. It was when the British and Netherlands followed suit that things really hurt Japan, especially regarding oil and rubber.

The US actually supplies Japan with 80% of its oil before the war. So there should be some cost as things are cut off. I just have an objection to cost free options. Why even have it as an option. Just implement it. :)

@@johnbarr1546 80%? I guess your right I just fact checked you haha.
Well US MMP income is poor as it is. All the mines are at 0 atm. Maybe the dev factored the embargo costs also, or the USA just sells or stockpiles oil. Another thing that's baked in and not evident now, is that while the Embargo against Japan is voted for, it isn't enacted for sometime. In addition, there is a random factor of when it actually goes into effect. US Mobilization has to hit 63% plus the earliest the actual embargo effects Japan is April 1941 on. If Mobilization is below 63%, then no RNG rolls occur. This I did not know, and I contact Lothos the mod dev to discuss what actually is happening, and when will the embargo actually fires. When it does, maybe the costs of it to the USA occurs.

@@BalthazorsStrategicArcana at the end of e.e. cummings poem Told Him he talks about a solider dying when he is hit in the head by a "nipponized piece of the sixth avenue el" which is a reference to the fact that we sold a LOT of scrap metal to Japan in the 1930s. There are several embargos that we hit the Japanese with before the war. Thanks for checking with Lothos, this is such an interesting game

Just wondering if the reason the Axis has been putting diplo into Greece and (if I remember correctly) Turkey is to emolliate the possible response to hiding the Italian navy in the Aegean. To viewers who come later :- This is not a spoiler. I'm writing this 5 hours after OCB released this episode. I don't watch both sides because it spoils my fun in following the game.

Well, at this time (of this recording of this episode), I wasn't sure what the Axis aims were concerning Greece. That will become evident later but I won't say at this time.....
