Now THIS is cool! The Ferrari F355 beautiful, sweet-sounding, and amazing to drive, especially with the gated 6-speed manual transmission - and this example has converted into a race car to participate in all-out competition driving. Not only does this F355 boast a roll cage, racing seats, an on-board fire suppression system, and a lot more racing upgrades, but it also adds several carbon fiber parts to keep its weight in check - and it adds a red and yellow livery that's sure to turn heads. This car looks like it'll be a blast on the race track - and it's offered by a well-respected seller with no reserve, so someone is taking home this Ferrari race car at the end of the auction!

These videos really exemplify Zack's experience and screen presence. I'd happy watch a regular series of Zack walking through design and history of unique cars. Amazing vehicle, and great presentation of it.
You think after all of these years that he has been making automotive content that he would’ve made his own channel by now. He is putting this money in to other people’s pockets while he has the connections to do this stuff independently now. I completely agree that I would love to see a series, similar to what you described, from him, but not under another person’s channel.
Been listening to Zach for almost 10 years , on TSP. He’s a car guy, he’s hilarious , and he isn’t full of himself. I’ve enjoyed watching him grow as a professional along with Matt.
He deserves more praise🤘🏼
Agree with everything here. Love Matt and TST, but I’m Team Zack all the way! I hear he does stand-up comedy from time to time; would love to see that!!!
Love the addition of Zack. Will watch any of these going forward.
Imagine jamming your finger in the dash mid turn! 😅😂
More Zack on Cars and Bids. This is good content
11:25 omg that steering wheel is so janky. Why does it wiggle and why does it touch the instrument cluster? wtf? That’s really bad
I used to watch speedvision. No one believes me. But this 355 is rad regardless. Very unique.
That emotion that Zack just involuntarily experienced is what separates cars like a 355 from nearly all other cars in its class. I have had these overwhelmingly positive emotional episodes while behind the wheel of a gated F355 and it alwaya reminds me of why we dream about special cars. They really can be transformative on that level and I find that fascinating. Well done Zack giving an honest reaction.
Helmet with roll bars please even if daddy Doug will be paying your hospital bills. Please Zack!
Didn't look like his belts were all that tight either. He probably had to have a little slack just to be able to reach the wheel. No helmet is so you can see the presenter and the video becomes much more engaging, but yeah, if something had happened on that drive his IQ would have dropped to 20.
@@toyoracer33they have plenty of open face helmets other presenters use
Wee woo wee woo the safety police is here. Idk about you but I feel safer already with this guy telling people what to do.
@@demonstructie I mean if you want a concussion you're more than welcome. Just don't bitch about the ambulance bill
@@toyoracer33 We (me and then the techs) cranked the belts as tight as they would go. My organs were squished at the beginning but maybe I sweat out a few pounds.
I like the casual '04 Shelby Cobra Concept at 18:34. Lol.
Was that the car from “XXX: State of The Union”??
The last classically shaped&proportioned 2dr sleek sexy coupe Ferrari ever made Imo!
I distinctly remember playing the 355 challenge in arcades as a kid. 😎👍🏻
There steering wheel issues are just appalling. In combination with this cars potential and the work that's been put in it, it just makes me wanna scream with frustration. Zack, you are a great presenter, keep it up.
I can't believe how terrible that steering wheel position is! Almost unusable as a track car.
The wheel thing is so odd and has tonhave been some adjustment some previous owner made. Thats a wild thing to have to try to work around. Good job Zach.
Steering wheel machined spacer
How many Alanis’s does it hold? 😐
Nice G-Shock!
it was a ferrari 355 at some point. Its been ship of theseus'd
Love Zack’s subject matter expertise, presentation style and dry humor.
In fact, the first 355 produced for Europe has much more than 400hp because they are less restricted, have different injection, etc. Amazing machine!
No they don’t. I owned a 355 and went to the factory. They confirmed all variants of Ferrari engines around the world were given identical engines starting with the 348. The 1995 355 is undoubtedly the best of them though as it was the only year with OBD1 system and used two mass air sensors and made about 5-10hp more, and are easier to work on than the OBD2 cars.
Im so glad Zack gets to drive the fun shit now
Putting the transponder in the back is silly.. imagine winning by a nose only to see you lost on the scoring because the other guy has the transponder in the front like a normal person
Excellent piece!
As others have said, you’re a phenomenal presenter, Zack. Great work.
That wheel right against the dash seems wildly unsafe.
Freakin love 90's Ferrari builds, some of the prettiest cars ever made.
Always reminded of the scene in GoldenEye between Bond's DB5 and the GTS through the canyons 🤓
Zach is a great addition
I wondered where Lightning McQueen had got to! 😂
I miss the Speedvision Challenge races.
The V8 noise sounds great on that car!
More zack please.
Why aren’t you wearing a helmet? You and Matt have talked before about the unsafe practice of harness/roll cage and no helmet. Glad you didn’t crash!
We were driving at about 60% of ability. I did 3 or 4 laps and came in, so a helmet didn't seem necessary.
I owned a 95 355 for a while. Ferrari actually said this engine was meant to red line at 10k rpm but plans changed. Neat cars but my gosh are they maintenance intensive
No sequential gearbox? Maybe before they became popular on a race car?
Ummmm the 355 had an option called the F1 transmission. im sure it was a 24,000$+option an carbon ceramic brakes were almost 2x$ that cheap 1st option. 42,000/48,000$ for frikn Brakes.
Need more Zach
TheSmokingBids
Very well done
This or the crazy yellow s2000?
You ALWaYs want the transponder in FRONt of the car. Makes no sense and is dumb to have it in the rear. Nice video though.
The issues with the steering wheel are a deal breaker. wtf
14:37
Be weird if they stole the wheels and left the tires.
u
Insane sound but the ergonomics look atrocious. I almost bought a 355 Challange a few years ago.
Beautiful car. Terrible livery. That yellow striping is just bad.
There was a bug that raced across in front of you that you never noticed. That bug was pickin'um up and put'um down (-;
why isn't he wearing a helmet or a Hans device since its got harnesses.. what a weird trackday where safety is tossed aside.
Was it actually a track day or was he just driving on a track?
@@bwofficial1776 Private track session, not a track day. I was the only car out there. 2 of the 4 laps were at 30mph for car to car filming.
Yau
Zach gives with jokes about tv channels and he takes away by NOT fisting the Ferrari. Come on... it wouldn't be weird!
Stopped watching smoking tire because this guy gave me bad vibes… Hope he’s not a regular guest here. I’ve loved your content for 10+ years but would immediately stop watching bc of this guy. :/
Huh? He’s nothing but a green flag. This dudes never said anything remotely controversial
What are you smoking? Zack is more entertaining than most.
Well, he is. So, you should immediately stop watching. Or just watch the videos you want to, and not complain about the videos you don't want to. Allow others to be entertained.
@@gregoryscott7088 I’ll see you over at Hoovie’s ;)
Three five five. Get it right. Please tell me you at least pronounce Porsche properly.
What a dweeb. It's "three fifty-five" or "three five five".
Enzo isn't going to come back and correct you.
Booo! Boo this man!
Do you have a Porsche nine one one?
Maybe he has a five five zero?
Zack is an impeccable presenter, he truely conveys the emotion of these cars and why we love them
The best!!
God DAMN this thing is so cool. Great vid Zack!
I'm the bug crawling by at 4:21
did you make an account just to comment that?
I love Zacks sidequest on this channel. Getting Zack to do videos for the auction cars is amazing, and a solid move. We love Doug but Zack brings his own passion and style to these reviews. Any more guest auction car reveiw videos up your sleeves?
Someone needs to install a extension/quick release to that steeringwheel.
That steering wheel situation is plain stupid. Who thought it wasn't?
18:30 - Shelby Cobra Concept casually rolls around in background. 😮
I know it'll be tough but start your own channel Zack. I know you're busy but start slow. It'll grow.
6:58 I see you Diablo SV 👀
@@Karan1984 I knew I had it wrong... Thanks for correcting me
And a Ford GT on the left.
@@RedLP5000S Oh I didn't even notice that 😂
They put 300k into the car but couldn’t move the steering wheel? And it raced? Crazy
Why would they do that with the steering wheel?
Usually in race cars you adjust the seating position by mounting seat in different location and adding spacers and changing the wheel itself to your liking.
Something seems broken. That can’t be right. The dash must be loose and have moved out of place
the ‘gymnast ring’ is a Japanese subway grab handle
FILIPPO GET A QVALE MANGUSTA!!!
nah the initial pull out with those sounds got my oants wet im actually emotional
15:12 sound like a typical Turo guest
Talks about a 348, shares photos of a 512, says 94 was the last 348, yet I own a 95. Now I question the rest of the video facts
I’m shocked that they allowed you on track without a helmet. That thing sounds AWESOME!
Great video. Great car. But Good LORD! Why in the ever-loving F*&% is the wheel so close to the dash cowl?!
300k and can’t move the steering wheel or seat. I get it’s a race car but still driver comfort makes you go faster and safer?
how much revenue does tst miss out on by you doing this? this cant be good for business....
Fuck that wheel position
Doors off a 348 minus the strakes.
The steering wheel makes you drive like a taxi driver.
Looks like a happy meal toy
Ehh ... looks a little slow.
Gran bella preparazione 👏
That time some of your favorite things come together….Zack, Curated, Ferrari, Cars And Bids and…I think Ed Bolian walked by towards the end of the video.
Needs a concave steering wheel, or at least trim the cluster shroud. Wtf 😂
aye zach theres sumthing behind u
Zack da goat
No way Daddy Doug poached Zach from Matt Farrah! lol still love the video!!! Keep up the killer content guys!
His reviews are all modified cars being sold on C&B. They’re awesome!
I have dual visitation rights.
Great explanation… disappointing driving demonstration
👍👍🤘
Zack is great when he isn’t talking politics.
Two points: your grandfatherly slow upshifts were painful. Secondly, I would fabricate a spacer to the steering column to bring the steering wheel closer, not a big job.
Gated shifters are hard to slam gears. Especially when you’re not used to them, even more so when it’s someone else’s car for sale.
He wasn't racing and the car wasn't his. His shifts were fine.
I had been in the car for three minutes and didn't want to money shift a built engine. Better to warm up to a car safely than be a hero and light my savings account on fire.
When you upshift that slowly, you put a lot of pressure on the gearbox and its components. It's amusing to hear the excuses in the answers below. You are the reason why they have automatic transmissions.
@@karloanttila False. If it has straight cut gears, you’ll need to be deliberate and they tend to prefer quicker & firmer shifts.
A normal synco gearbox could careless if you’re taking time to shift. Slamming gears actually puts more stress on things., and as stated in my previous post. Most gated cars don’t like super fast shifts. I’ve owned and driven a fair share over the years, also was an engineer with a major OEM for a decade.
But looking at your posts here, you’re just a troll or a child.
