- Here I have my new Monte Carlo. Took delivery 2 weeks ago and am loving it
Has the 1.2 TSI 105hp engine and is very fast for a 1.2!
Bought it to replace my Peugeot 106 where a walk around of that can
Hi there thanks for the comment :) i belive that you may be a bit confused... i have the 1.2 tsi that outputs 105 hp or 77kw which is the equivilent power in different units. Over here they also sell an 86 bhp version which i assume is what you meant however im not sure how they get the extra power out of it. They might place a restrictor on the i take, turbo etc but im not sure...a google search might throw up some results :)
fair enough then mate. i do think the black would show up dirt a lot more also possibly stone chips etc. i did consider going for red for a long time and actually placed my order with that colour until i saw a monte at a motor show in white and decided that i had to have it in that colour. i think it looks really good as long as you keep it clean. the other alternative is grey (if you dont mind spending that extra £500) which i think also looks really good.
Very nice car. I drove the 1.9tdi a while back and it was very comfortable. I'm trying to get my hands on a race blue Vrs model with dark chrome rims.
Changed my mind I think I'm going to save myself £495 and go for the red which looks brilliant, I would choose White because it also looks great but a family member has a White ford c max titanium and it never looks clean just shows off the dirt more but red will fade over time with out regular polishing :( but really looking forward to placing my order soon :D
What a nice car you have there, I'm looking into getting one my self!
nice car, looks great!
thx 4 walkaround and have fun with it!
cheers mate. its a cracking motor! enjoy!!
thanks dude :) loving it, soo much better than my old car :P
@Somebow Dee With the 1.2 Tsi you can remap it to 140bhp and it becomes a warm/hot hatch :)
i might try to... want to get a couple of go pros for xmas :)
should have a test drive vid of it up in a few hours :)
i've got it on finance... £210 a month for 3 years with an initial deposit of £3000. if i had bought the car outright it would have cost £13000 ish :)
fully comp with a years no claims came to £890 on elephant
Are you gonna do a test drive vid of it?
where is the crash test?!?!?
nice vid, i have the same car with 86hp. best car for this price! enjoy it... :-)
Hello..best colour combo you have also..just a question in the UK it seems you have a 105 kw model with the bigger 17 inch wheels vs the 77kw 16 inch wheels here in Aussie.
Do you know if the engine is the same with a boosted ECU or intake or is it a bigger turbo etc ?
The engine is the same 1.2 just wondering what they do to crank the extra factor power out of it.
I'm getting one of these in black in september and saying goodbye to my much loved 2002 octavia vrs which I have to say will be a very sad parting. Had the old girl for 7 years now and I have to say it's going to be a shock going from 180bhp to 105bhp. Any problems, pros or cons with the car? Anything you suggest I get when I spec it up?
Cool
How much is the insurance can I ask?
And was the car itself pricey?
Hi. Are the lights at the bottom daylight lamps or fogs? I have just purchased a black late 2013 monte Carlo and will be collecting it tomorrow.
they are both, there are 2 bulbs in there. the DRLs can be disabled via a switch under the steering wheel
+Andrew Southam Thanks for the info. I have the car now, but didn't know about the disable DLR option.
hey have you done any engine modifications to this thing? im thinking of buying one but it looks like a bit of a slug in terms for performance when you look at the statistics.
@scastle90 180 on an octavia vrs, you get it remapped?
haha maybe at a later date ;)
