The people of Mohammad (saw) time and the 4 generations thereafter,
      the rightly guided, meaning:
      * the 10 000 companions/disciples of Mohammad (saw), the Sahabas,
      * the Tabie-een, scholars who were taught by the Sahabas
      * and the Tabie'een - Tabie'een - those who were taught by the Tabie'een...
were ALL Quran only...as they could relate to the life and example of Mohammad (saw) and his practices...but when they died out and Islam started to expand to Non-Arabian lands -that gap of 250 yrs, Muslims like Bukhari, Muslim, Abu-Dawood and many other, made it their life duty to collect EVERYTHING they could find on Mohammad (saw)...
These collections of Statements, Testimonies, Reports (meaning of the word hadith) were made by all kinds of people, from Muslims, Jews, Xtians and even from enemies of Islam were classified, numbered and graded by scholars using the Isnad method.
      THIS METHOD
is the best to get to the truth and sources, as each of the narrators in that chain is investigated if they were truthful in everything or otherwise....also different reports (hadiths) on the same topic are compared...it takes a Muslim scholar today 3-4 yrs at University to learn the Science of Hadiths.
YES - tons of hadiths are fabricated and some are listed as "Mawḍū' also included in Hadith books and studied - as other information therein is correct but the 'crux' or the vital part is made-up and not true.
      IN REALITY
this amounts to 0,01% of all hadiths as the other 99.99% is accepted by Muslims as it is according to Quranic teaching and Elaborate and compliment the Quran.

To the honorable Muslim reading this, do you confess today to the Creator of the Universe that..
      1. Adam was made from Clay?
      2. That life was breathed into him by the Word-"Be"?
      3. Do you confess that Qabil tried to atone for his works with his Labour/his own Works from the field; that was insufficient?
      4. Do you confess to The Creator that Habil used an innocent, spotless lamb that God provided to atone for his sin?
      5. Is this Qurbani/Udhiyah?
      6. Do you admit that all those that got into Nuhs Ark were saved?
      7. That those who thought a global flood would be impossible, were not saved?
      8. Do you accept that God asked Ibrahim to bind his son?
      9. Is that proof that Ibrahim loved his God?
      10. Is Isa the "Kalimatullah" as mentioned in Qur'an 3:45 and 4:171? (Translation "Word of God")
When you speak, your words are you, they hold all the authority of your body and mind but are completely different medium. The Word of God became flesh in to Jesus Christ, who died on the Cross as the Lamb of God, the Qurbani/Udhiyah/Sacrifice for all mankind.
I know what you are going to say, "God can not be a man". But you admit that God can enter creation, as he did when he spoke to Musa as a burning bush. If God can be talking fire, he can become a talking piece of clay. *Checkmate*
I have done exactly as Qur'an 5:47 instructs me. I judged Islam to be false.

Your mention of brigands raise a thought.
There are aspects of the Koran that would be very useful for a tribe of brigands to believe.
A tribe of brigands would need every fighter it could get. All the offers of slave girls and come to think of it 72 virgins on death would be very useful in getting uneducated teenage boys to fight. All the hatred of other religions would further incite them to fight. But they'd take a lot of casualties, fighting all the time. So they'd need the women to produce as many replacements as possible. hence girls would be married at puberty, or to be on the safe side a bit before. but who to? with the young men away fighting and so many dead there wouldn't be enough men to go round. Answer- the women have to share husbands. This can be spun to the teenagers as them getting four wives- which they will if they survive the fighting, and after having spent half their "adult" life as single warriors.

There's something I don't understand. Muslims have every right to defend their beliefs on channels like this one, especially if they do it with integrity.
What genuinely confuses me is when certain ones completely ignore the actual content of the video and instead begin spamming the comments section with completely unrelated information.
Not only does this diminish the credibility of other Muslims by making them look like trolls that lack any legitimate defense of the religion, but it literally inflates engagement with the video, causing the algorithm to spread and promote it even more.
Maybe they don't realize they're actually helping to boost the popularity of channels and content they don't agree with, but it's always baffled me.
It's the TH-cam equivalent of free advertising.

    • @SolaGratia.
      @SolaGratia. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@Todd Beamer Hmm. That's really interesting. I don't think I've heard any Muslims making that claim, but I guess it's possible. Christianity has different sects with various rules and expectations and I often wonder if the same applies to the followers of Islam.
I was thinking that maybe it's cathartic for some of them to be sort of a nuisance to channels like this, or at the very least to cast a shadow of doubt on certain Christian beliefs, but I can't be sure. It just seems incredibly counterproductive. Especially when you factor in monetization, which gives that type of spamming the added benefit of putting money into the pockets of their detractors.

This video doesn't deserve an intellectual response.
Two clowns behind their laptop use in every video different criteria.
Their criteria is that they set criteria that will always lead to a rejection.
Once they will make an objective video of their methodology and criteria we will respond.

    • @SolaGratia.
      @SolaGratia. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Todd Beamer The more I think on it, your comment makes a lot of sense and fills in a few blanks for me. I've had a lot of Muslims reply to comments I've made on videos like this, but I can hardly think of a single one who addressed their grievances with whatever I said in "an intellectual" manner. They usually just insult or call me a liar and then hurl totally unrelated accusations about Christianity my way and attempt to goad me into defending those instead. Fascinating.
It's still not helping the cause of Islam, though. Because in addition to boosting the spread of these videos, the fact that they don't provide a viable argument for what's said here will only ensure that any Muslims harboring doubts about the religion will find zero rebuttals to the tough questions, thereby causing them to have even greater doubts and bringing them one step closer to leaving the faith.

    • @oneone3763
      @oneone3763 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

There is nothing to learn in these video's. They are low level propaganda video's.
Only people with desires like you come to these channels to 'learn'.

      @SolaGratia. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Todd Beamer Yes, I'm well aware of the jihad part. That adds up completely. What doesn't is basically what my original comment is about. In their attempt to prevent criticism of Islam from being disseminated, they're achieving the very opposite here, because the algorithm doesn't differentiate between positive or negative engagement. All engagement is good engagement on TH-cam.
Oh well. They have every right to do it either way, but thanks for explaining that for me. 🙏🏻

I have worked my way through this series and I have found it to be very interesting. I am not religious - I was not born with that gene - so I do not place any single religion on a pedestal; all are subject to profound criticism from my point of view - though I would like to stress that I try not to be dismissive of people who have faith in a higher power simply because they are people of faith and are therefore in some way intellectually inferior. To me, seeking solace and a sense of belonging seems to be a very human thing to do. It’s what usually comes after that leaves me cold.
So I’ve worked my way through these talks and everything I have heard seems to correlate and expand upon points I first encountered when reading Tom Holland’s “In the Shadow of the Sword”. The complete absence of external, independent historical evidence for the existence of Mohammad seems incredible. Particularly when considering that this was taking place in a far more recent period of history when compared to the Old or New Testaments. I understand that different regions progress at different rates, and have different traditions regarding the dissemination of information; but this utter absence of external corroborating evidence is truly unusual. As is the traditional narrative of an origin for which there is no archaeological support, but there are multiple far more likely explanations. It really does set Islam apart.
That is not to say that the Old and New Testaments are without fault. It is very hard to find any hard historical facts to support anything in the Old Testament preceding the enslavement of the Jews in Babylon. And the historicity of the New Testament’s version of events almost entirely begins and ends with the execution of Jesus. But Islam’s rejection of rational explanations for which there are credible ancient and modern explanations in favour of less likely and intellectually inconsistent arguments seems to be deeply problematic. When coupled with an iteration of god for whom there is no absolute right or wrong, only the (interpreted) will of god; and a strong tendency to look backwards when challenged, this becomes legitimately concerning. Particularly when followers may be looking back on a past that did not exist. What sort of guidance will that provide?
Though I cannot help but think that not matter how reasonably these challenges are articulated, nothing will change when the challenges to orthodoxy come from outsiders. The questions will have to come from within Islam for anything to change. Hopefully for the better of all.

One such tradition goes like this, I copy from Sean W Anthony here, Muhammad says: "I will be the first to exit the grave when they are resurrected; I will be their leader once they arrive; I will address them as they hearken; I will be their mediator when they are imprisoned; and I will bring good-tidings when they are struck dumb with fear. Look I love your work, but I respectfully disagree. Muhammad was real; he was a prophet; he was the object of this letter, but I think his religion was very different than Islam. I think later Muslims simply built Islam on the foundations of the real Muhammad, who was a heretical Christian (promoting a different Christos to come). Just as the Quran is a later compilation, the traditional Muhammad (the one we know today) was compiled over time until they had invented the "tradition."
It's as if someone built a religion around David Koresh decades later. There was a real Koresh, but they'd invent a new one to better fit their needs. That's what they did here.
In Christianity, the earliest texts support the basics of Christianity.
Here, the earliest texts prove it was a completely different religion that only later became Islam.

@@Billy-Mandalay Sorry I was unclear: I agree w/ their general critique of the standard narrative; I disagree w/ their claims on this particular document. I think the real Muhammad was a heretical Christian brigand who probably conquered/dominated a significant portion of the Arab world; later, Muslims built upon him - and other myths w/ new ones thrown in - to create the standard narrative. So, I think the standard narrative is false, but I think it has more factual basis than they do.
He was a self-proclaimed "prophet"; he was a monotheist; he did conquer various things (what & when & how may be unclear), but the prophet of Islam didn't exist - it's more of a "based on a true story" kind of thing.
Unlike Christianity, Islam begins w/ one story & gets another decades later. Christian, of course, can trace their basic beliefs back to Christ's resurrection, and there's literally no contrary evidence (no evidence we ever told a different story).

Plus did he not have a Christian monk as a close elder sort of mentor ? He too would have spoken Aramaic, no ? So other arguments seem fine but not the Aramaic one, your thoughts ??? Jay Smith Embarrassing mistakes on the bogus history of Dome of the rock
1). First big Mistakes forgetting the Crusader
Abdul Malik bin Marwan was the fifth caliph of the Umayyads dynasty. Jay Smit praised him as “the great Arab reformer", because Abdul Malik created Muhammad and Islam out of nothing, totally from thin air .... Hahaha.
He created Muhammad by ordering people to write the name Muhammad on the dome of the rock. Once Muhammad was created by Abdul Malik, then suddenly Quran miraculously come into existence complete 114 chapters...hahaha.
Abdul Malik then ordered people to write some inscription from Quranic verses he just created on various wals of some of the rock. On the south wall, people wrote these verses
In the name of God, the Merciful the Compassionate. There is no god but God. He is One. He has no associate. Unto Him belongeth sovereignity and unto Him belongeth praise. He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He has Power over all things. Muhammad is the servant of God and His Messenger.
Note : You can check all inscriptions on dome on the rock on Islamic awareness website.
    The problem is
When creating his bogus Islamic history, Jay Smith Ph.D.seems to forget that, when the Crusaders conquered Jerusalem in 1099, after bloody massacre of jew and Muslims. The crusader then gave the Dome of the Rock to the Augustinians, who turned it into a church named The Templum Domini.
    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Templum_Domini
This Church became an important symbol of Jerusalem, depicted on coins minted under the Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Jay Smith PhD then create a bogus story that Abdul Malik has ordered people to write down some inscriptions on the wall of dome of the rock ambulatory. That inscription includes an explicit rejection of the divinity of Christ,
People of the Book, do not go to excess in your religion, and do not say anything about God except the truth: the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was nothing more than a messenger of God, His word, directed to Mary, a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not speak of a ‘Trinity’- stop, that is better for you- God is only one God, He is far above having a son, everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him and He is the best one to trust.
Do you think is it possible the writings against Christianity were left untouched by the crusaders for hundreds of years inside the church Templum Domini, and survive to the preset day?. That's impossible....hahaha. Please read the story of crusader conquest of Jerusalem
I don't believe Arab Christians at that time didn't understand the verses that contradicted the divinity of Jesus. Judging from the story of Jewish and Muslim massacre during Jerusalem conquest, it is impossible the writings against Christianity were left untouched inside the church Templum Domini located at the center in area ruled by crusaders.
After nearly a hundred years under Crusader rule, on October 2, 1187, Muslim army under Saladin, reconquered Jerusalem. Saladin turned the dome of the rock into a Muslim shrine.
Many of the Mameluke, Abbasid and Ottoman sultans who ruled after Saladin, made many changes to the dome of the rock.
Therefore, The Dome of the Rock was built by the Umayyad caliph Abdul al-Malik but the famous inscription on the dome ambulatory was made by Abbasid caliph Al-Ma'mun (r. 813-833) during whose reign renovations took place. Al-Mamun name is written along with the inscriptions of famous Qur'anic verses, all written in the Kufic script.
The biggest change was made by the 16th-century Ottoman sultan Suleyman the Magnificent, who decorated it with Quranic Inscriptions in Tuluth Arabic Script and Turkish faience tiles.
2). St John of Damascus called Muslims “Saracens” and Mohammed a “false prophet”
The biggest earliest critique of Islam is John of Damascus or St. John of Damascus, (Eastern and Western feast day December 4). He was born c. 675, Damascus and died December 4, 749, near Jerusalem. He life during Abdul Malik reign and quite close from the time of prophet death in 632 AD.
Jhon of Damascus is a Christian saint who well known as the first Christian polemicist. How it is possible this Christian Saint criticized Islam if Mohammad doesn’t exist.
In his book The Fountain of Wisdom, in the second part he wrote Concerning Heresy (Perì eréseon) - the last chapter of this part (Chapter 101) deals with the Heresy of the Ishmaelite. He explicitly wrote About Muhammad and Islam, like this
    a) Agarenes, Ishmaelites and Saracens,
There is also the superstition of the Ishmaelites which to this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the Antichrist. They are descended from Ishmael, [who] was born to Abraham of Agar, and for this reason they are called both Agarenes and Ishmaelites. They are also called Saracens, which is derived from Sarras kenoi, or destitute of Sara, because of what Agar said to the angel: ‘Sara hath sent me away destitute.’ [99]
    b) called Muhammad was a False Prophet who
Life During The Time of Heraclius
These used to be idolaters and worshiped the morning star and Aphrodite, whom in their own language they called Khabár, which means great. [100] And so down to the time of Heraclius they were very great idolaters. From that time to the present a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst. This man, after having chanced upon the Old and New Testaments and likewise, it seems, having conversed with an Arian monk, [101] devised his own heresy.
    c) He tell very famous story about Muhammad propagated by Christian polemicist
As has been related, this Mohammed wrote many ridiculous books, to each one of which he set a title. For example, there is the book On Woman, [109] in which he plainly makes legal provision for taking four wives and, if it be possible, a thousand concubines-as many as one can maintain, besides the four wives. He also made it legal to put away whichever wife one might wish, and, should one so wish, to take to oneself another in the same way.
Mohammed had a friend named Zeid. This man had a beautiful wife with whom Mohammed fell in love. Once, when they were sitting together, Mohammed said: ‘Oh, by the way, God has commanded me to take your wife.’ The other answered: ‘You are an apostle. Do as God has told you and take my wife.’ Rather-to tell the story over from the beginning-he said to him: ‘God has given me the command that you put away your wife.’ And he put her away. Then several days later: ‘Now,’ he said, ‘God has commanded me to take her.’ Then, after he had taken her and committed adultery with her, he made this law: ‘Let him who will put away his wife. And if, after having put her away, he should return to her, let another marry her. For it is not lawful to take her unless she have been married by another. Furthermore, if a brother puts away his wife, let his brother marry her, should he so wish.’ [110] In the same book he gives such precepts as this: ‘Work the land which God hath given thee and beautify it. And do this, and do it in such a manner” [111]-not to repeat all the obscene things that he did.
    Sorthodoxinfo.com/general/stjohn_islam.aspx
On Catholics Ensyclopedia you can find a short paragraph on Jhon of Damascus about Islam and Muhammad.
The second part, "Concerning Heresy", is little more than a copy of a similar work by Epiphanius, brought up to date by John Damascene. The author indeed expressly disclaims originality except in the chapters devoted to Islamism, Iconoclasm, and Aposchitae. To the list of eighty heresies that constitute the "Panarion" of Epiphanius, he added twenty heresies that had sprung up since his time. In treating of Islamism he vigorously assails the immoral practices of Mohammed and the corrupt teachings inserted in the Koran to legalize the delinquencies of the prophet
    www.newadvent.org/cathen/08459b.htm
    Conclusion
So, St John of Damascus called Muslims “Saracens”, “Ishmaelites” and “Agarenes”, except that the “Saracens” designation might have been used earlier. All those names were pejorative. he also called Muhammad by name five times and he also called Mohammed a false prophet. He vigorously assails the immoral practices of Mohammed and the corrupt teachings inserted in the Koran to legalize the delinquencies of the prophet
How could a Christian Saint, who live a few decades after prophet death, vigorously assails Islam and Muhammad, but Muhammad didn’t exist.... ha ha ha.
3). Third fatal mistakes listen to this expert
Watch this videos showing Jay Smith panel of dubious expert when working
    th-cam.com/video/B29OqXQqEds/w-d-xo.html
So it is murrad who proposed Muhammad is Yesus... Hahaha.
I have advice them, You guys had better check the healthiness of your mind to the nearest dentist or veterinarian .... Hahaha
Jay Smith PhD listens to the opinions of this strange dubious expert. That’s why so many mad videos he produced ... hehehe.
Jays put a big lie that Muhammad is Jesus and therefore, St. Jhon of Damascus attack this Muhammad who are Jesus himself
A Christian Saint attack Jesus ... how stupid
So Jay Smith big lies has been perfectly debunked ... hahaha.

I think you are going too fast. The location is not relevant. The description is seen through the eyes of a christian who thinks in terms of the second coming. He can quite easily be projecting his own beliefs onto the reports he has heard which are obviously sketchy. Maybe reports of Mohammeds death had not reached him either. Yes it is plausible that the Arabs were led by an arab christian monotheist. There seems to have been some kind of revelation that was subsequently polluted abd overlaid with vicious trash manufactured as occasion demanded. Well you prove that x did not exist at the same time you must prove its alternative that then who was x instead? Because you couldn't prove that y was existed instead, then the argument remained unsolved that who was muhammad then?
If there is any doubt that muhammad was not a real name for the founder of islam it is easy to prove that Musailama the false prophet that is shown as sarcastically in the eyes of the world in the islamic history and hadith is the real prophet of islam.
The strong reason for this is the shape and the roots of the related words to Musailamah, islam, muslim, salam, taslim....
    The following is from wikipedia.
"Musaylimah (Arabic: مُسَيْلِمَةُ‎) short for Musaylimah al-Kadhdhāb (Musaylimah the Arch-Liar) otherwise known as Maslamah ibn Ḥabīb (Arabic: مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ‎) d.632, was a preacher of monotheism[1][2][3] from the Banū Ḥanīfah tribe,[4][5] and one of a series of people (including his future wife Sajah) who claimed to be a prophet in 7th-century Arabia. He was a leader during the Wars of Apostasy. He is considered by current Muslims to be a false prophet (Arabic: اَلْكَذَّابُ‎ al-Kadhāb).["

Matthew 4:8, Luke 4:5 the devil took him Jesus to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.

God can do everything, but Jesus said I can't do nothing. how he can be God ?

    given by who ?

He was God in three persons, however they are all God. Also, why does the Quran claim Yeshua to be a prophet when He taught nothing that is advocated by Islam. If Yeshua was not the Son of God, then He was certainly not a prophet of Islam. When did He command his disciples to kill anyone for rejecting the Gospel? When did He say anything about going to Mecca ( which did not even exist during His time) and praying to a Kaaba?

@ب برىء You need to take a course in comparative religion to have an understanding of the theology of Christianity. It is correct that the word Trinity is not found in scripture. Even Hinduism has the idea of God Head but they defiantly believe these are separate deities. Christianity only builds on the Jewish concepts of complexity of God's interaction with Humanity; Creator, Word and Breath. We all know that Judaism is monotheistic but they have at a minimum a Dualistic concept of God. My understanding of this was a reaction to the development of Christianity and not a continuation of their understanding prior to the 1st century CE. This was a reaction to what Jesus pointed out from their own scriptural commentaries.
