He tells us how Jesus didn’t come to make the world a better place, but to suffer, to look down on life. What a joyful old feller this fine dressed man with a fine felt feather hat really is. Gracias.
The Holy Family themselves were all royal. St Joseph was the true king of Judah (usurped by Herod), Our Lady, Queen most highly exalted, and, of course Our Lord, the king of kings. They are, in truth, the only royal family. A superb sermon, Your Excellency.
I remember when I was a non catholic and the mother of God was a problem for me to accept when I first became Catholic. 😢 A Catholic explained that Jesus is God , Mary is his mother, therefore She is the mother of God. 😊(God made man)
Great question. One element of reflection might include the fact that kings in general expect their sons to inherit the throne. Kingship is very much a family affair. Think in terms of dynasty, lineage, e.g. King David's lineage, from Solomon through saint Joseph. As for King Herod, he even had his own wife Mariamne executed, along with other family members, all in the interest of protecting and consolidating his power.

Thank you so very much, Your Excellency. May Our Blessed Lord and Our Lady continue to keep you and guide you always.

Mary is the daughter of God, the mother of Jesus and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. Three divine persons in the one God.
Why would Herod be concerned about Jesus usurping the kingdom since He would have to grow up first to be a threat?🤔

Ask Israelis killing babies. Anyway, re. Jesus, Herod was aware the prophecies were clear.
Do the wicked need a reason?
