Holy crap. It’s hard to fathom just how impressive these Patek’s are until you see them on the wrist. Gorgeous!
Two unobtainable grail watches right now, but the 5712 is my choice from the both.
Great idea to compare those two pieces. On paper they look very similar, but in the metal it’s a different story. Excellent job Tim, as always.
I chose the 5726 because of the beautiful symmetry, and the classic Patel annual calendar.
Love both...have both but the white dial version of the 5726. Both are simply amazing! Great review.
I'm fortunate enough to have both and both are great everyday watches... by far more comfortable than the AP Royal Oak
I have both; but I like the thinness and elegance of the 5712.
Great video and explanation. My favourite is a 5712. Hope to see pro video like yours. Good good job. Thank you
3:59 Not just a blue dial with the new 5726/1A-014, but a very cool blue to black gradient dial. It fades to black as you approach the periphery of the dial. VERY cool. I just bought the 5726A-001 (black dial with leather and polymer straps) from my dealer and he's on the case to get me the 5726/1A-014 (I love the blue to black gradient dial and the steel bracelet). Can't go wrong with any of the 5726 pieces--especially if you are getting them at retail price from an AD!
5712 has the edge 👌
5712 for its thinness
Very nice review 👌🏻
Are they just Full Steel or are the screws in white gold, like in AP watch
I like design of Patek Philippe 👍🏻
Love them both but I slightly prefer the 5726 . But more sporty but still sophisticated
The one the AD puts you on the list for is the one to choose.
Awesome show and watch
I was just lucky enough to get the 5726. Love it! I didn’t get a choice, but I would have chosen the same anyway. Great reviews! Keep up the good work.
Steve Lee nice! Were you able to get it new or preowned?
Great comparison, Tim! 🙂 But is there any logical reason for Patek to use pins instead of screws?
I was so disappointed when my brother told me that the 5726 -014 had a waiting list, of several years. It is not holy but a true grail watch.
My winner is 5712🥇
Those pre-owned price premiums (a triple P rhyme! 😁) are absolutely crazy! And it’s odd that the lume on one is so much brighter than the other. As for which to choose? That’s so difficult I can’t actually decide. Mind you, if I had the means to purchase the one, I’d likely have the means to purchase the two! Which is what I’d do (another little rhyme).
I am fortunate to have the 5712 and it’s a fantastic watch. The jury is still out for me as I think I prefer the micro rotor . I also have the 5205G with the larger rotor with the same movement as the 5726 and I had problems of misalignment within the window just within 2 years of ownership.
5726 on bracelet best nautilus combo.
so happy just received my 5712/1a with a beautiful blue dial. i ordered it and got it in 3 months... when i got the call i was like holy shit!! anyway.... i coulda gotten the 5711 but i think its to plain... compared to 5726 i like the 12 cause of thin case and light weight.. imho
Tough call, but I think I give the edge to 5726
5726 THE MOST PERFECT WATCH EVER MADE TO ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice idea to put the two watches one on the other and let them feel the steel
As I just purchased the 5726 .......I'll say not even a competition....5726 for the win....higher beat rate ...newer complication annual calendar....edit 110k boys 5726 for the win
5726 for me 👍🏻👏🏻
Must be an incredible watch, I am a huge fan of divers watches with a bezel but certainly would love to become more knowledgeable about this fine product.
5726 for me....5712 too much happening on that small dial.
I prefer the 5726 (especially with the new blue dial) for the same reasons, though the 5712 would fit me better and has that micro-rotor!
God I wish I could put that 5726 on my grail list. It is the summary of everything I love about Patek. But then you notice the grey market prices. I don't even want to know the AD wait list for first time Patek customers.
definitely 5712... i think its the best of the nautilus line... even the 5711... yeah i know... 5711 bec of the simplicity and symmetry.... yadda yadda yadda.... BORING...
Simple....buy both
5726 me...not even close
The 5726, no contest. It's a great watch.
The 5712 is missing the hour indicators for 4, 5 and 7 o'clock--due to the two sub-dials. Sorry, that's a design defect. It never should have been made like that.
Why are the pre-owned more expensive than brand new??
it's a supply issue. patek has selective allocation practices.
5712 is too thin, it looks unimpressively flat, just like a jumbo, so I take the 5726
I will never understand the appeal of a posh watch. Incredibly superficial people will delude themselves into calling it "an art".
Explain what's not artistic about it?
