Eric, I moved from your old channel and subscribed to your new channel when there was 6000 subscribers. Time goes by fast, already at 100k! Good work and quality content. Take care. Mike
Indeed 3712 is a rare watch in its own right - a transitional model produced for only about 6-9 months which is almost discontinued the moment it was launched in late 2005 and replaced by 5712 in 2006. The two piece monobloc watchcase which is similar to the authentic Gerald Genta original design Patek 3700 is more difficult to produce than the 3 piece 5712. The 3712 has both 3 and 4 dots power reserve (ie. 1st & 2nd series respectively) and some say the 4 dots PR ones are rarer. The 3712 is definitely not forgotten but due to its scarcity in its production hence the market, not many are aware of its existence or seen one personally. It was the first Nautilus with multiple complications, and according to Monochrome it was estimated that 500 pieces were produced. Thanks for sharing and bringing up such an interesting piece not many talked about.
I think anyone that has a 3712 knew exactly what they were getting and didn't mistake it for a 5712. That said the 5712 has and always will be my favorite Nautilus.
100k subs=HEAVY hitter, Congrats E! But let's be honest, easily a cpl K viewing that haven't sub'd cuz they HATE the playa... Keep doin what ur doin on the Classy, humble and informative tip Sir! Appreciate all your time and effort.
Wow i never hurd of the 37 collection till now, thank u!!! 5712 is way better than the 5711(super hyped watch and super basic) patek does make the most comfortable watch(feels like your not even wearing a watch).5726 is also better than the 5711
I know one new watch dealer doing very well knocking out the usual ‘bread and butter’ multiple retail watches didn’t even know that the 3700 was the entry model in 1976 for the Nautilus. This is the degree of ‘scholarship’ - that’s an adjective actually used by auction house experts usually associated with Phillips Watches who just apparently smashed all auction records in Geneva. It’s good to know that if someone is employing you as a consultant to invest in one of these, you know what you are talking about. It goes over my head a little. I know for a fact that one of the big bosses at Watchbox in Philadelphia and expert on Patek Philippe and FP Journe and now cultivating H Moser, has a 3700 in his personal collection and is holding on to it. The 5712 is ‘the ugly sister’ Quasimodo of the Nautilus line: a mish-mash of complication devoid of symmetry: but watch collectors who have cold hard cash to spend like it and that is all that matters at the end of the day. I see the London Watch Show organisers have apparently taken up my suggestion of another show in 6 months in March 2022, but not in Manchester, UK where the facilities are excellent with transport links and adjacent top class hotels. Parmigiani Fleurier watches are under appreciated but look good. You should soon be getting your 100K plaque from Google: being within just 100 subscribers, 99.9K of the target.
I definitely wouldn't say it's a "forgotten" Patek as the prices are crazy on them at the moment but it's most definitely not as popular as the 5711 and 5712.
Erick, congratulations on your 100K subscribers, your videos are the best, thank you for always presenting something different, although we want to see more videos of what you do every day in terms of business selling or buying watches that you also do, such as the sale of watches. AP to the NBA player, your videos are the most anticipated always congratulations, yours and Roman's the best, successes Erick
I got one. It has 4 red dots at the power reserve. And another areas at the power reserve is 48 position 3712 has 1 white dot but 5712 have 2 white dots.
Thanks for the very comprehensive guide, I always just told the difference between the two of them by the 7 o'clock marker. Also, the number of red dots is a bad method of telling them apart because there is a super rare version of the 3712 with four dots.
Dude is absolutely above the fray. Best no bullshit, no self aggrandizing, no drama guy in the watch game. Stay away from the bullshit everyone else sinks too.
I asked Patek and they said Tiffany sold 4 pieces of 3712 and none of the customer asked for the dial to be stamped with Tiffany, so zero Tiffany dial 3712 are in existence. I was hoping there would be at least one, but no. Sorry
I think don't hear as much on 3712 because it's not really differentiated enough from 5712 like dial color or anything else. Too small of minor differences nobody can tell. So doesn't get as much hype! 😂
Awesome pair. I just picked up that 5712 at my AD yesterday 😍

Birmingham would be good for the watch show as its in the middle of the country
Two piece assembly on 3712 is what makes it stand out from 5712 not every one gonna notice that but two piece monobloc shines
I am a big fan of the channel. I truly enjoy your reviews. Among the best in the business. Wishing you continued success and prosperity
Congrats on 100k main man🤝💯
💯😎🙏🏻🌴
We’ll done 100,000 and climbing…keep up the great content…always learn something new from your vids…😎

3 dot value vs. 4 dot ??
@@cs7489 The rarer is more money, usually.
101,000 subscribers... !!! congrats from #Quito
Great watches (and video as usual)! Nice to see some vintage. Wonderful content coming old vs new. Keep’em comin!
Thank you Greg
That's an awesome vid you have there!
Highly educational thanks much for the effort!
3712 is the goat and the grail
For me
Congrats on the 100K subscribers buddy
Top video eric as always very informative 👍.
Cheers mate
Love your videos 👍
Congrats on 100k subs. 3712 more elegant! Slightly less big hands ? Video only in 1080p, not 4k?
Some of the other differences are the indices borders are thicker on 3712, the font on the dials (date wheel and running 60) is different.
Awesome review as usual
Congratulations bro 100k family
Congrats on 100k subscibers
Crushing goals! Go Eric
Forgotten?!? This is the nautilus collector exit watch, being it not only much rarer but also bigger than standard 5712
I know it's an old video but how do we "charge" the power reserve?
Felicidades Erick por tus 100k te sigo desde tu canal anterior.
Dude is absolutely above the fray. Best no bullshit, no self aggrandizing, no drama guy in the watch game. Stay away from the bullshit everyone else sinks too.
💯😎🙌🏼
@@WatchEric where will you be hanging for Art Basel?
Didn't even know this watch existed! Great video as always, would love to see you do a video on more vintage nautilus models!
Both are beautiful! What is the red rope bracelet that you wear?
I wonder the same too.
Love both!
Great Video!
Hi, what do you think about the difference between the first and the second series? (3 red dots, 4 red dots)? Thx
Let's be honest, this is the coolest guy in the watch game... and everybody knows!
4:14 Sorry Eric but there is a clear difference on the bracelets, the links on the 3712 are slightly more round than the flatter ones on the 5712 :)
Thanks for this!
I love 5712.
Both bad ass pieces 🔥🔥🔥
I lov the 3800, so cheap, so underrated and forgotten, so charming
Nice 👌
I own a 3712/1a full set in good condition. I was only offered $115k late last year.. It is not a $200k watch in Asia.
Ultimate stealth king steel Patek, 3712 is so amazing
100% my grail.. hopefully I get to at least see one in person one day LOL
The lack of symmetry is not good for me. Dial looks messy.
The race is on..... you to 100k subscribers or the white dial Daytona costing 100k!!!
You got this Eric mate!!! Ha ha
NEVER knew a 3712 EXISTED but I ACTUALLY like the LOOK of it BETTER than the 5712.
Wow, I didn't even know that watch existed. For sure my grail watches are those two.
The 5712 is the best Nautilus of them all.
For me the differences are ridiculously small. Never would buy one of These over retail.
Aint feeling the Patek's. I do not like the rivet on the 1st lug. or the hole in the crown guards.
Congrats on 100K subscribers
Let’s just simplify. Every Nautilus is beautiful in its own way.
I asked Patek and they said Tiffany sold 4 pieces of 3712 and none of the customer asked for the dial to be stamped with Tiffany, so zero Tiffany dial 3712 are in existence. I was hoping there would be at least one, but no. Sorry
100k lets go
almost at 100,000 😎😎 subscribers 💯💯💯
Never knew the 3712 existed 😅
Bought one thinking it was the 3712 but got the 5712!😭😭

lovely
The symmetry throws me off. I'd pick the 5726 over this
I have both. 5712 looks better in person
@@solarnowpuertorico5178 I can't really judge unless I see them in person 🙂
I’m willing to pay under $100 brand new one
💯K🔥
I prefer the 5980! Great video
Hello sir
99.9k
Moonphase is my fave complication, power reserve indicator is one of my least favourite though
It's My Grail Piece...
100k!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S.
5712 > 5711 all day. Both came out the same year. Patek will discontinue the 5712 soon.
If the 5711 is too basic, I'll take basic all day
No one talks about because no one can get them...
#3712 #PATEK #5712 #MIAMI #watch_eric
My grail piece is Casio Bin Laden
Just can’t like the Nautilus case
WHAT A TERRIBLE CHANNEL!
@WatchEric 3712 is my grail piece 👌🏻
