You're the only one I've seen do the rear bearing on the FWD. It's a pain.. First tried with a mallet to get the hub out.. My left hand is different now. Thanks for posting up, dude!
thanks for watching. I'm glad the video was able to help you out. Removing the hub from the bearing was the hardest thing I've had to do. I think to this day my arms still shake from the pounding they took. lol
Best video I found on TH-cam showing the full process on fwd ford. Thank you very much for having good lighting and a nice camera it made viewing this way better than any of the other videos I’ve seen.
We had Ford escape 2010 this week ...Having someone heat with propane torch on back of bearing on outside edge while using slide hammer made big difference in getting hub spindle out . Don't heat the hub spindle this will make it harder ... Without heating it's killer removing hub spindle ........
They have hydraulic press tool you can put behind backing plate at harbor freight for $200 .. Push hub out easy .. Most shops take the whole hub and backing out and use press ... If you heat around inside of spline at nut not bearing it will come out easier ... Also bottom of backing plate near the spring will show wear marks if bearing is bad .... Sand the hub spline lightly with emery cloth before installing will.make it go in easier ...

You did a good job but why you didn't show the replacement of the hub?
Good job! You're lucky not to live in the rust belt. Everything is 10 times harder here, and the bearings might just outlast the body..lol

You really described the sound of the bad wheel bearing...
Pretty acurate indeed
Lol I used a T45 torx bit to remove the caliper oops
You didn’t show the most important part installing the hub.
When you place the hub back in the bearing, place the giant bolt back in and tighten until it stops . You can do this by hand or impact gun.
Hi
Hey
How much force did you use to tighten the hub bolt
I would tighten it to at least 150 foot lb
